Couldn't Resist A Christmas Auto Grow

glad the swick is working out for you. might have to start a swick thread if more people wanna start trying the method.

I think there's real value in having a central place where all the practioners of a given style can collaborate. Often there is gold on certain topics buried in various grow threads but that info gets lost over time once the grow ends and the thread gets archived.

I'm happy your autos survived your week away. Happy New Year, Carmen! All the best to you for 2023.

Happy New Year, @Carmen Ray !
Thank you Azi. May your garden bring you much joy in 2023.

Thanks Bluter. I was looking forward to seeing you. Perhaps I will start a swick thread if there appears to be an interest. There is a thread started by Sweet Sue some years ago dedicated to SWICK. Also, I just discovered this thread!

Azi would you recommend starting a new central thread?
Happy plants and happy new year! 🎉

I'm not sure that's what folks mean by a "crane shot" though. :cheesygrinsmiley:
That sounds like such fun! I studied Theatre and Sound & Lighting for a year before changing over to Fine Art. That is right up my ally. There was a thriving film industry here in Cape Town before Covid hit. I wonder how it has recovered. In another life I would like to have continued that training.
Happy new year. :high-five:

Thank you HG and happy new year to you and Felonious and families :green_heart:

I hope you have a wonderful New Year, Carmen and Family..💚

It would probably attract some interest if you did. Sounds like there are already a few growing that way. Sue's thread is old and mostly dormant and Hash's kind got run over by a bunch of us well meaning, but tone deaf, enthusiasts who drove it well off course. Sorry Hash Hound. :sorry:

Spots developing on new leaves. I have moved the light further away and fed the roots some calmag from the top. The light was at 650 PPFD and is now at 490 PPFD.

This is when my winter grow started showing signs of spotting. I am using the same soil but it is used soil which I have amended. I will be bloody furious if this happens again. I planted the sprouts in ordinary spent potting soil but now that they have been up-potted they are in the amended soil mix and their roots have in all likelihood ventured into the amended soil. The frustrating part is that the dude who makes the soil grows the most incredible plants in his soil.

The Lavender Best showed the leaves starting to crisp at 8 days old.
The Bruce Banner 2 at 17 days.
The Caramel King at 25 days
The Wedding Cake at 24 days

Early on small issues can be just them getting acclimated?
Thank you Otter. How long can I expect it to take for issues to correct in LOS? I top watered the calmag straight down the roots hoping for a quick fix.

Thought I was late but I see the show is just getting started.
Curious to see how the swick works vs the SIP method a lot of us are using nowadays.
I remember seeing that swick style used years ago
Never grown autos and plan on going to a LOS very soon so I may not be of much help but I am following along
