Hey there Santb - if you want to keep the flowering process going give the lady some malted barley tea with some kelp meal and a dash of coconut water (pure water). Those 3 ingredients have growth hormones and lots of beneficial micro nutrients along with a bunch of enzymes for growth and vigor. I like to foiler spray the whole plants and really this will help the lady get going and keep her there.

I would also do a tea with alfalfa meal as well. Water and/or foiler that as well. Alfalfa has a good bit of growth hormones in it that will really get the lady going. To make a tea with alfalfa try 1/4 cup 1/2 cup to a gal of water bubble and dilute into 2-4 galons and water in.

For kelp tea 1/2 cup to gallon of water. You don't have to bubble/aerate if you don't have an air pump, just jar it and shake vigorously for a minute every once in a while - loosen lid after shake dilute that mix with 2-4 more gallons of water and there you go. You can water in and strain and foiler spray. You'll get good results from any or all of the above.

Cheers

Have some alfalfa growing now and missus brought home some coconut water so will bubble some up. Have dosed the plant up with some crushed (mild, store bought) organic flowering pellets, and reorganised my shade-house so that she gets light as late as possible in the morning... trees provide dappled shade after 2pm ish, and total shade as of about 4. Light defol and LST to open up the centre. Pistils everywhere; she smells very sweet/slightly minty already, and is quite sticky already just out of preflower so am actually starting to hope this mite work out ok!
Thanks again and merry xmas to you and your family and your sexy girls.

You're traveling back in time a year with the dates on photos ;)

Nice, I wonder how that happened.... I guess I set the date wrong this plant is my first run of that strain and its still in the tent growing. Camera fixed sheesh... gonna load up the last few pics with the wrong date from yesterday.

Stinging nettle tea here - this has been sitting for about 2 weeks - dilute 20:1 with water and either foiler or top drench... this is good for animals, people and plants. This concoction for plants - it smells just like cow poop and is probably stronger. A little goes a loooong way.

CBD Lavender - residue on leaves from foiler spray last night - weekly IPM = kelp meal/neem cake tea with 1 tbs of spinosad just to be sure the critters are not an issue and stay that way.

pics_12_11_2015_014.JPG

CBD Lavender with a Krystalica in the back round she's loosing all her fans last ditch effort to make those buds even spicier for the men (me) in the room. Looks like shit smokes mighty fine; it's my 8th round of this strain all clones cept for first round. Last round I got one bud with like 30 seeds and I've started 6 in VEG from new seeds currently and they all are VERY vigorous growing like the weeds they are.

pics_12_11_2015_013.JPG

Showing off the CBD Lavender tonight... the reason for the green is I had to replace a lamp that was overheating and not really working TBH - more to come on that as I try and work something out with the retailer. Which happens to be a sponsor here. Not feeling the love so far! Actually not GETTING any love. Hope we can come to some agreement on another lamp. I've brought in another lamp which you will see last pic.

CBD Lavender again

Main cola Purple Pineberry - she's a bigun, but slow growing. I'm going to sprout some alfalfa seeds tomorrow and see if I can't coax her to be a big fatty ... love my ladies with a little bulk, yeah buddy!

Top shot CBD Lavender

Krystalica bud shot.... here we go! woohoo this is what gets me excited. Starting to smell up the house even tho the flower room is isolated. Won't be long to harvest these, next round ladies are getting impatient.

CBD Lavender - side shot - she's bulking up and showing off her colas - Colalita boom shaka-laka

Krystalica lit up with a SolarECLIPSE SE250 the new lamp out a few weeks ago. It's only been in the flower room 4 days ... my girl is still getting used to the new lamp.. she's curling/clawing down a fair amount. I hope she gets back to business. That's a sign of stress. I have another Amare lamp in my VEG room and all the girls just love it but its totally different than this one. The SE250 has 4 big ass COBs with focusing lens on them.... I need to run a full grow. I'm thinking of going full on Amare but they are pricey.

There's an auto Blackberry there down btm left sticking up ... a little one trying to bulk up her buds somehow... she lost most of her fans but still putting out new pistols .. I was harvesting her and decided to try the new Amare out on her to see if she likes it. She grew in VEG under another Amare lamp.. worth a try.

I should do my weekly update.. so here goes.

I'm coming down the back stretch with the current round. I've harvested 2 Krystalica plants already and replaced them with 2 more Krystalica clones I had in VEG. I've got a bunch more too. Cloning is a beautiful thing, cheap too!

Pinberry is getting very close to chop - She actually was wilted tho today when I took pics so she could use maybe another week since she's still thirsty.

Water schedule is still water - skip - water with tea - skip water - skip - water with tea -skip

Teas this week were MBT - Malted barley tea - only bubble for 4 hrs or so (so acetic acid and alcohol dont start). The other tea from last week was corn sprout tea and this week I made a alfalfa sprout tea - mainly for the VEG room which is a full house right now.

Also for IPM I do a neen cake meal (1 tbs) and re-hydrated kelp meal 1tbs (keep in fridge hydrated), add that to a quart of water and shake it up, strain and into the sprayer with a gallon of water and spray the shit out of all the plants we have in the house. Fucus on the ladies of course. I do the IPM on the no water days. So I'm in the room with the girls 15 min on the foiler days and 5 minutes on water days. Pretty easy no-till organic.

Here's the pics:

Start off with the big show girl for this round - she's doing very well. I'm impressed with this one - you can barely see her twin sister in the background.

My goal is repeatable sustainable GREAT tasting strong meds. This strain performs - this is the Pheno C out of 3 phenos of Krystalica. This pheno is the easiest to grow but represents only 5% of all the phenos in this strain. Oh and the meds are extremely potent. When I roll a joint my lips and hands/arms are numb and I haven't even taken a puff yet. Its very good and add to that I do not build up THC tolerance, I get stoned to begeebers same amount of bud every time. been with this strain a long time too and the taste is smooth sweet dank. I do take breaks from this but always come back to this one for my regular puffage. She's a keeper... got clones in VEG and in the cloner so next 3 rounds are already in the works.

pics_12_20_2015_001.JPG

Big show girls twin ... not very good lighting. The show girl is blocking the light! I used a flash too! I suck and taking pics.. Notice clawing leaves..been struggling with a few pots of soil this round. I think I need larger pots so I will dump this soil back into a bin and mix in some more humus consisting of our own compost and some Coast of Main lobster compost and up pot ... for the win! She's a little thirsty but I'm getting close to chop so I'm not going to over water. It will take 2x the drying time if I water too much late in the game. I like to let the ladies show me they are thirsty down the stretch - cuts down on drying times but the trade off is stress.

pics_12_20_2015_003.JPG

Sort of group shot here... Krystalica next round 2 weeks into flower center - twin sisters to the left and right about to be harvested and Pineberry there sulking like I forgot to water back center.

pics_12_20_2015_006.JPG

Krystalica about ready for chop

pics_12_20_2015_005.JPG

Purple Pineberry - didn't get purple yet - could happen in cure... never know trowing a few bananas here too = not my thing. She's coming down... I have replacements. Looking at that main cola ... 18-20" and fat as my arm so no complaints here.

pics_12_20_2015_007.JPG

Pineberry again

pics_12_20_2015_009.JPG

This was an auto ... Blackberry I think that I started to trim for chop then decided she could use a bit more time so I changed her from 20-4 to 12-12 after trim.. no fan leaves. For me this is a big time no no but I'm not adverse to learning a thing or 2.. she's actually re-frosting!!??? is that even possible?

pics_12_20_2015_010.JPG

Next round - VEG Room - all sorts of critters going here. 50% Krystalica clones and some krystalica plants grown from seed that I cut off the "Big Girl" from last round - she put out a bud with bananas and low and behold from that one bud I got 30+ viable seeds there's a few here running for next round. They look better and more vigorous than the clones.

pics_12_20_2015_012.JPG

My bunch of girls .. looking to cull but I'm thinking some of the clones will go and keeping the seedling girls! The clones are more spindly - seedling girls are fat and happy - they way I like'em = big leaf no trim.

pics_12_20_2015_011_-_Copy.JPG

One of the Krystalica seedlings - the seedlings will be an exact copy of the clone since there's no father in the mix. Natures way, who needs a male?? Well my wife does! hahahaha Nature adapts. After 8 rounds no males the ladies made up some seeds just for us!! Very nice, this will get respect from me.

pics_12_20_2015_014.JPG

Healthy seedlings... cheers be back soon with some nug shots.

You have major skills. I enjoy watching,

I was reading back in my grow looking for yield info and there were a couple of posts where you gave me key growing advice.
One of them was the daisy cloner, (easier, smaller and neater than the other ways I tried.) I forgot the second
+reps on helping a brother out.

I wish it were legal to mail each other clones ... some day.

Thanks Rad - yeah buddy would love to trade genetics - I'm cloning the Krystalica all the time. Right now I've got clones just getting new roots, clones 1.5 - 2 months in VEG screaming at me to give them a flowering shot and several recently transplanted into soil and a few up-potted from little pots.. so yeah like 4 separate runs all going and the autos and a few others to fill in...

I didn't realize how much I loved to garden. Growing indoors is actually very challenging & rewarding in many ways. Keeping a flower in flower for 60-80 days or more yeah is freaking awesome and not that easy. Try it outside with other plants that can flower that long... my wife tries to kill me with her flowers but weather and lack of sunlight eventually take over.

I get really busy here working a day job, living and all that jazz I wish I had more time to read thru journals, I tend to want to read a book or 3 instead of the internet.

When I start reading journals I tend to want to dispel all the "science" I read about and probably I'm not very helpful in that regard.

Someday we will be past all this cannabis prohibition and we can get back to growing the way we were doing it in the past (in a proper soil). I'm old school not going to change working mother nature. She's all powerful and I respect her 110%.

Went into the woods (old growth forest near us) - the spring green carpet is already in full swing. Lesser Celandine is green already. Thats the plant that grows on the forest floor early spring with yellow flowers one of the earliest flowers in spring time - comes out right after snow drops and lasts until trees have leaves.

Chopped the Pineberry today.. she was throwing out a few bananas which are male bits - that's a sign its time to chop. If I leave that go the buds get all chunky with fake seed and maybe even some real seeds. On a strain I've never grown before that's not going to happen. chop chop - she's big and heavy I'm betting 4 zips cured. Main cola size of my arm from elbow to finger tips. We will see on the taste and smell in a few days.

Happy solstice everybody... time to plant, time to harvest, time to reflect on life and hug the ones you love. look up to the moon light and thank our lucky stars we are here!

Cheers

Hey Bob (or is it Bo?); What light schedules you use? You seem like a GLR type of bloke and if you aren't, why not?
Cheers and merry xmas!

VEG room is 20-4
Flower room is 12-12 or maybe 11:45 day - 12:15 dark

Close to 12-12 probably not exact as I use the manual/analog non-digital timers. Had too many of the digital ones crap out on me and switched to heavy duty analog ones WAY more dependable.

I chopped the Pineberry the other day and moved her clone into the flower room yesterday with a few Krystalica clones.

I usually make grow room changes I.E. harvesting and moving plants from VEG to flower, on the full moon cycles. I'm following what mother nature is putting out there for us.

^^^ That and we are pretty much living the Biodynamic Method thanks to Rudolf Steiner. He's got a few good books to read ... Not a nazi about it, just keeping ourselves healthy, living and growing!!

I think he was the one to write about our food chain loosing a lot of minerals and vitamins living things need to flourish and stay healthy. That was back in the early 20th century. He learned that from working with farmers and getting feedback from them on health of animal herds and human health - back when human life expectancy was mid 40s, no shit. <-- That's how we came to add rock dust to our soil mix!! Changed everything for humans in less that 2 generations.

Rock dust - it's whats (worms eat) for dinner!!

Happy holidaze everyone - keep it green, red and purple! Cheers

I was talking to a grow store owner about my HPS ballast and as I left he asked .... "Do you add paramagnetics to your soil?"

"Uh.. I don't even understand the question." I stammered.

"You have to try this stuff" and he handed me about 4 lbs of rock dust.

"Basalt?" I querried.

"Yes."

"Oh yeah. It's in my soil and I feed it to my worms about once a month."***

He smiled. "If you ever need more, I'm the east coast distributor."

I guess you and I practice old-fashioned paramagnetics

*** I lied. I only feed my worm basalt dust 3 or 4 times a year. I intend to do it 8 times a year.

Update:

Ok so we harvested the Pineberry as it was starting to put out a few bananas ... didn't want to risk messing up the rest of the ladies. First time running that one so had to chop. It was a little early so I didn't get the bulk in the buds I'm used to getting!

This past week I did an SST with alfalfa sprouts instead of the usual Kelp meal tea. I did do a foiler with kelp and Pro-TeKt and a sprinkle of neem for the win... The plants totally kicked it up a notch or 3 after the watering with the alfalfa SST - lots of new ultra green growth in the VEG room where I wanted to apply the tea but all the ladies got some too!

So chopped Pineberry and a Krystalica that was ready. We have 2 more Krystalica that are getting close = fat buds falling over so anytime they will get chopped. The VEG room is getting full - plants are ready to go to flower so its time to harvest some more plants. I don't like to harvest all at the same time due to trimming. This is a hobby and trimming is very time consuming. My trim buddy is back to Cali growing so I'm up on the trim thing which I don't mind but after 2 hrs I get bored & higher than a kite. Trimming is ok just not my favorite cup of tea there.

This week the SST will be Malted Barley
schedule: water malted barley/aloe & coconut water - water - water.
IPM = foilar with Kelp meal and Pro-TeKt again.

Bud shots:

Krystalica fattening up the buds here under a new lamp. Probably 2 weeks more for her. Ever since I swapped lights a few weeks ago she's been clawing. It never stopped so I'm guessing the change in lights is causing her some amount a abiotic stress (environmental stress as apposed to biotic stress = insects).
The Krystalica that's been partially under this lamp since here switch to 12/12 is fine... thinking the plant was used to a different light spectrum and now is stressing a little.

pics_12_27_2015_006.JPG

Krystalica ready to harvest anytime. Buds are falling over actually the whole plant is top heavy and it I didn't stake it she'd have fallen over already. These buds are fat and dense - they won't shrink much and VERY sticky.

pics_12_27_2015_005.JPG

New lady to the flower party, put her in 12/12 yesterday - I make a lot of changes at the full moon phase if I can.

another Krystalica about 3 weeks out from harvest

CBD strain - Lavendar - she's got some nice buds but taking forever to finish.

Krystalica sisters in the back about ready to chop and her sister in the front just getting going 2 months more for her.

pics_12_27_2015_001.JPG

Group shot of the VEG room - its really getting GREEN in there the girls are growing big and I've been transplanting into finish pots getting ready for flower.

pics_12_20_2015_011.JPG

Close ups of the little ones - residue on leaves is leftover IPM foiler spray from the other day.

pics_12_20_2015_014.JPG

Close ups of the little ones - Krystalica from FEM seeds we grew, there's 3 or 4 Dark Devil autos in there, some Headband and Mandala California Dream or Far Out cant remember which one (they are all labeled). Mandala is the breeder that did Krystalica. I'm always impressed with how quick the seeds pop and how healthy the seedlings are - never have any issues.

pics_12_20_2015_013.JPG

This lady is one day into flower and already buds are showing - over night after the IPM foilar and SST drench.

So amazing Bo! I love stopping by your grow and getting a lesson as well as organic growing tips. It's all pretty sweet how working with nature reveals the best in humans and plants.

Keep it green my friend!

Very colorful pics bobrown. Your photography make veg shots fun to look at. As one of the "most" organic growers around, I was surprised to see that you use ProTekt. I think it's the best silica product available. A local company for me. Great update.:goodjob:

Thanks for the reps there brightlight - silicon is the 2nd most prevalent element after oxygen. I use ProTekt in my foiler sprays. It can also be used to water in as well. I like to direct inject with the foiler app! This is one of those bottled things that is ACTUALLY organic but with a fair price. I look at it like this - Kelp for the win and ProTekt to keep it there.

ProTekt - a silica product that helps the plant build stronger stalks and also to better absorb nutrients thru the soil food web.

Info bomb alert :geek:

Here's the main cola top. If you look close you can see a few bananas - little tiny yellow apposing moons center of pic - those are male bits the plant is trying to grow to self pollinate. Why did I chop. A. Not willing to chance they produce airborne pollen in a room full of my ladies. This will produce viable seed if left go ... I'll leave result up to the imagination.

Sensimilla Sensimilla Sensimilla - FTW.
