Cottage 420's Organic Perpetual Indoor Garden

Bob have you ever used birch water on your plants? Something that just ran in my head today for a bit.
Nice heard that is a great source for many things .. following ...

...end of March...drop some DDA beans in water the day after we get back, and start cookin' some dirt... :yahoo:...cheerz...h00k...:hookah:...

Yeah just in time for Spring. Its cold as a witches tit up home now. Here in Philly we had hurricane force winds (higher that when there's a real hurricane coming thru) sustained +60mph hitting us hard from the north for 24 hrs+. Was scared to even go outside. Trees and shit flying everywhere.

Friend in Ontario said they had the same deal then -20C closed schools for cold temps and yet more snow!

So enjoy the sunny warm beach weather. You ain't missing much unless you like to wear long underwear and shoveling snow is your thing. lol

Woah Heavy Frost Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Platinum Buffalo is a keeper for sure holy *hit! Those PMB's look very thick and dense too! I've tried it once I believe via Sweetsue! Potent and great bag appeal!
:bravo:

Thanks Jay - I chopped that bitch down last night. Sticky A/F too. Heaviest plant I've cut down in a while wet. That main cola is gonna be something - it's got a lot of bulk to it. She wood have tipped over a few weeks ago it I didn't yoyo her up to the rafters.

She put on all the frost in the last week. Don't see that every day. I'm glad I waited her out. Was the same last time I ran PMB. Don't be in any hurry to chop. She went 73 days. So not too bad really considering it's gonna be a decent haul.

Doner plants handed off to a local grower friend.
He likes to use bottles so lets see how he does.

I showed him how I up-pot and use EWC/Kelp Meal/malted barley powder and mycos instead of bottled nutrients. I didn't see a light bulb turn on. lol.

The Mandarin ZkittleZ is female and the male was Gelato45 X Platinum Kush Mints, I still have a few of them in VEG and 1 confirmed lady in flower.

If I don't write shit down I herd cannabis affects short term memory so there's .. wait what was I talking about. :nerd-with-glasses:

Hmmm not yet lol. We collect the white paper birch bark for art projects. So I have a stash!

I just made some Willow Bark Tea I'm trying out with my clones. It's supposed to have rooting hormones (same hormone that promotes cell growth) in it. The idea is that the new growth from the willow branches - grows so fast that if you harvest that new growth there will be a ton of growth hormones in those shoots. Lots of free willow in our neighborhood. Lol

The birch water I'm referring to would be gathered just like maple sap.

I couldn't find much on it here is some stuff I found.
The sugar produced by birch trees, xylitol, is used as a natural, low-calorie sweetener in chewing gum and other candies. This is what is naturally sweetens birch water, satisfying your sweet tooth without being overwhelming. Because xylitol is low in calories, birch water is a much less caloric drink option than many other natural waters on the market. With only two to three grams of sugar per cup, it beats maple water in this regard. Minerals found in birch water appear in trace amounts, though it does deliver several phytochemicals (plant nutrients) and amino acids that may be beneficial to your health.

Maple water is higher in bioactive compounds than birch water, but is slightly higher in sugar, with three to five grams per cup. And, maple water has a richer electrolyte profile, maple water contains 46 bioactive nutrients, including minerals, amino acids and organic acids. Maple water contains abscisic acid (ABA), a plant hormone that may help plants adapt to stress. In humans, ABA may help to balance blood sugar.

Maple water also contains...syrup :adore:

Still didn't pull down the PMB yet. She's still chuggin along. I'm opening up the window at lights out to get some colors going. lol.

To be fair she's a 75-80 day strain and that's how long I ran them the last time. She's right at 68 days so I may chop a little early by a few days this time cause I gotta get the next round going.

Working hard - chopping trimming up-potting popping seeds transplanting. I like to do all this work at the full moon. Kinda helps me on when is chop time.

I'm usually always pulling plants down and transplanting on the full moon. It's easy to remember.

So I popped a six pack of fem Mandarin Zkittlez and had terrible luck, only 1 seed germinated. I was kinda pissed. Now worrying the 1 plant is a male ffs. and confirmed. Male plants smell different. This one was trying to look fem all the way up to balls formed still was trying to look female. Chop chop and done.

So I popped another 6 pack of Mandarin Cookies R2 - they all germinated in less than 24 hrs and all but 1 are in soil and going. The 1 that didn't make it I messed up somehow.

Planning ahead for the spring run now so it looks like Mandarin Cookies and not sure maybe I'll do something from Annunaki not sure yet.
I picked up their Sour Pineapple at the Harvest Cup. They just had it tested and it supposedly hit 7% in terps. Previous high in terps I had seen was about 5% I believe in a strain from Elev8. Almost dropped a few of the Sour Pineapple beans but I want to grow some more indicas first.

Great looking cola on that PMB brother Brown!!

That was some crazy wind we just had come through up here. It was scary enough for this guy from florida (who has gone through some nasty hurricanes in his life) to go down in the basement, turn the music up so I didn't have to listen to the winds howl and the stuff bouncing off the house. Lots of trash to pick up but no damage thankfully and more importantly...no power outages.

It's freezing and thawing here for the last month - the buckets are hanging.

Maybe I need to go grab a cup or 2. ABA in the maple water is also a growth hormone. It actually slows growth and maturation among other things. It plays some part in stress and bud development in plants.

I have a Mutant polyploid running now. She looked to be finished around day 35 in flower.

Good right? That's pretty fast.

She's smallish and her buds never really fattened up but they are ripe and smell very very sweet. 35 days tho. Wow. 2 runs back to back = 70 days even tho low yield per run could out do a normal 70 day plant in yield and potency?? Food for a think.

If we gave her more ABA going into flower, maybe that would slow her metabolism down enough to get bigger flowers with the same potency?

I love to experiment.

Right now I'm spraying my clones without roots with kelp tea and willow water. They both have the same growth hormones that the gel and rooting powders do but of course free and organic.

side note:
Why is it anything "free" gets my attention? I buy seeds and run the freebees. ffs
