Copperrein's Summer 2021 Outdoor Soil Grow

Whoever convinced me running a fireworks tent would be a hoot is an asshole I am that asshole

Business is good, tho so hopefully I wont hate my decision the day after 4th of July :D

I managed to remember to take proper photos of the budzai. It's well past done so I guess I'll have to chop her now :<

Aaaaand to the tent!

The first photo is just great. I have seen several over the years from people who have done similar sorts of things with small plants but yours looks like the best of them all.

Aaaaand to the tent!
If it is in the front yard at least you don't have to drive there and then back home at the end of the day.;)

Something tells me it may be like trim jail just not as tedious. :smokin2:

Im going to miss Budzai.

This is far easier than trim jail though we're right next to the highway so I'm covered in grime by the end of the day. Still better than gooey raw fingers.

@SmokingWings thank you!

I'm really bored just sitting here. Someone send strippers or something. A pony. Something.

WOO....BIG HARVEST THIS MORNING. Man am I sore!

Also learning my cheapo microscope is very limited but hey...it was cheap. Or something...

Wow amazing shots. Love the colors.

Turns out it's harder to kill cannabis than previously expected. One of the hash orphans is still out at the cabin. I'll need to wander out after my next meeting and get a photo.

The Michigan 12 have all survived my neglect and month-early start date except for I think GG4. It's got new growth on it but I'm not expecting much.

Also the rest of the prizes from the March photo contest came in OMFG YASSSS! Not sure what I'll do with this stuff yet.

The outdoor plants have been beat to hell which I expected. I did not expect even 11 to survive which brings up the issue of state limits. Yes I know it's unlikely the cops will bother with a warrant for three indoor plants in addition to my 11 outside but I don't trust them and who knows if anyone's holding some weird-ass grudge since we're very obviously a liberal home. Politics is not nice around here and I don't trust my all white and largely MAGA-fuck neighbors.

Also if I ever need to call the cops for something I don't want the extra worry so I'm gonna try to unload one of the gelatos (I always grow two and still have some from last harvest) and then yeah....try to pick two others to either cull or gift.

I've been chatting with a couple growers about starting to see a 100% outdoor grow in the summers either going away completely or being scaled down tons. From May to October is a long time to wait plus I had fertilized seeds from last grow and I know I didn't herm anyone. Someone west of me is growing ditchweed or being a shitbag and not culling males in time.

The local social media grower's group is full of people who have no idea how to sex a plant let alone understand WHY they don't want pollen getting out.

Ugh...so yeah. Greenhouse maybe? I would feel less Snow White one with nature if I went full indoor but....it's just more controllable and the first batch of hydro I grew is soooo so so so good. SO good. It's like I'm shoving blueberries and coffee up my nose when I crack the jar and the effect is consistent throughout the plant and strong.

end rant.

Edit: no, not end rant. I want to clarify: I don't expect other outdoor growers to be exclusively sensimilla. I don't want them to be if they're legit breeding but they probably aren't around here. If I want seed-free weed it's on me 100%.

Also: the more I read on cannabis genetics the more I question even using feminized seeds but that's for another time.

LOVE YOU ALL!

Edit two: yes...I need to weed my beds. I am doing the best I can and my spinach and cabbage are gonna have to deal a little longer with unwanted cohabitants.

Hey Copper, it's brilliant that you can at least grow some plants legally where you are. Where I am we'd call your place a lifestyle block, enough for some chooks, a horse, a few animals etc, and plenty of space to grow a few plants!
It's a shame if there is unwanted male pollen blowing onto your plants from elsewhere, hopefully not enough to stuff your buds up. If I had a decent sized bit of land I'd be happy growing out some regulars because I have got a ton of regular seeds, and as I've read they may be better than feminised.

I would love to do one grow where nothing gets culled, trained, or fed beyond the soil it's in. Just a field of 12 whatevers. See what happens with the resulting seeds.

So many ideas....so little time <3

I'd love to grow out a whole bunch of regular seeds and then selectively cull out all but the best looking and pollen chuck with them, that would be fun each year choosing the best to refine the breeding selection. But that's just daydreaming as I don't have the land or the legal environment to safely do that.

Hey @Stunger Hope you are well my friend.
Your beautiful country has lots of other wonderful benefits.
And your balcony makes up for any short comings

Thanks Bill, I hope you're keeping well too! If we were talking about a galley boat where there's barely enough room to swing a cat, my balcony with plants is similar, there is barely enough room to swing a pair of scissors! It'd sure be nice to have a big chunk of land hidden from prying eyes to plant a few rows of our favourite plants! :hookah:
