Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed Stock

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

Ah worst case scenario, if it keeps coming back on a daily basis you chop them in half and finish them indoor. It's doable.

Yep Real Seed Company, but they're out ATM I think.

Yeah he plays with elite cuts making mostly fems, but recently started doing regs too. I browsed through his current stock, but these two stuck in my mind as potentially good for outdoor here.

Yeah his cut of Purple Urkle is supposed to be one of the best in existence. He has what he calls Purple Urkle F1 which is his PU bred to a Pakistani Chitral Kush. I have seen some plants from this mix and they are gorgeous! All sorts of pinks reds and purples in them. On his InstaGram he has a couple of pictures of PU's he has grown outside in raised beds and one of them, he pulled over 3 pounds off of it!

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

Yeah I've been thinking about it seriouslyk cause I really like Sour Diesel as a smoke, but never grew anything from Mendo Purps / Urkle family.

Purple Urkle is a parent of GDP. Urkel is a smaller potent indica, it put me to sleep mostly. Crossing it with Big Bud really was the right call. I love GDP.

RSC does not ship to the US. I had to get mine through a friend in the EU.

I would love to grow out some more GDP but I cant get clones of it and I do not want to buy the seeds over seas for almost $200/pack. I have been looking for Ken estes GDP seeds along with his Grandpa Larry seeds as well and I only know of one seed bank in the US that carries them and they are out.

I have a cut of what may be GDP here now, sent from a friend here on 420 in a clone shipper. The high is similar but a tad more skunk flavor than fake grape. I will see how it grows out. I also have a connection that has GDP seeds from Granddaddy Purple seeds/Ken Estes. I will try to get a 20 pack of those seeds. Some local guy has them stashed with a shitload of other seeds here.

was a lot of herb on that tree..

12 sq ft :)

It sure was, maybe you can really turn into wax or something after cleaning or even use for cooking.

Ziggy - what kind of mold was it?

I guess grey mould :)

Indeed. I see that a lot here as well. People think the intensity will increase forever. Yet the opposite happens. CBN is great for putting you to sleep though. I prefer milky or even clear trichs, and I harvest earlier these days. The weather here often times forces earlier harvests, like last year, but this year I have the GH set up so that there is not much condensation in them (I added an inner layer of 4 mil plastic). I Also spray with H2O2 + sugar to kill any late PM. 1 cup white sugar + 1 cup H2O2 in a gallon of water. It also kills mites dead on contact and can be used right up to harvest time. Some say that the sugar spray will increase the brix. For those thinking that H2O2 is toxic (they scream about using it on some forums), it just turns into harmless water and oxygen. You can spray that stuff on yourself, and it is virtually non toxic at that concentration. It is sticky from the sugar though. Basically this spray mimics honey. Its also so cheap it is insane. A cheap virtually non-toxic effective pesticide? You betcha!

I don't have to spray anything for the mites, so I don't.

Good to know, i just bought neem oil to kill some mites on a couple of my plants.

I hear that neem is better as a preventive measure.

Refined neem is also good up to near harvest time and I use that as it is also organic and virtually non-toxic (like H2O2, just do not drink the stuff and you will be fine). Some do not like the smell of neem, but that goes away in a few days under sunlight. Neem oil is effective and it will kill mite eggs, all mite larva stages, and the adult mites. The H2O2 and sugar spray blend will not kill mite eggs on contact, but all larva and adult stages.

These are all kill on contact sprays and are not systemic, so you have to saturate the plant when using them. Soak 'em down! I use refined neem at a rate of 100:1 for quick knock-down of PM and mites. Refined neem is usually 70%, so that is 1.28 oz per gallon / .75 = 1.7 oz per gallon of water, or 3.5 TB per gallon. Lately I have been combining the sugar, H2O2 and refined neem in one spray to kill mite everything. The MJ plants seem to love the sugar, and they ignore the neem and H2O2.

Hmm interesting combination.

Oh, here is an RSC indica Lebby photo from the other day for comparison. Multi colas as I pinched this plant several times early in veg. Fattening up now. She is also preggo with seeds (lower branches, not these tops).

Lebby_indica_colas_SM.JPG

Lower fan leaves are starting to turn yellow, fall is here even though it is still summer.

They can be topped or fimmed with success contrary to what people on Icy are claiming.

The lebs are gorgeous plants in their own way

Yes very original landrace indeed. I'm letting them finish properly, bu next week the chop is definitely coming.

True guerrilla growing... go to extremes and do whatever it takes!

Ziggs actually grows them in his garden being New Hampshire resident I think, it's just Jose pinned them down.

I hear a lot of purple genetics circulating in Cali is some kind of Purple Urkle version actually and that it has interesting terpene profile that is used to fruit up the progeny and make it more commercially viable. It's another classic I'd like to grow, but I'm gonna have to satisfy myself with this cross, which looks good enough for me. His PCK and other small NorCal breeders' stock comes from Charlie Garcia as you should know or already know, I guess they caught up finally with Spanish favourite and now breed elite clones through it. Nspecta did a cross with Girl Scout Cookies and White Fire among many. PCK is a classic stretchy indica with heavy buds that grows very well outdoor and produces great hash of burnt rubber aroma.

That would be awesome if you were able to come across seeds of it. I can get them from over seas but as stated the price is ridiculous. There are newer purple varieties that are actually better weed that can be had for cheaper. The last few GDP seeds I have seen people grow came out green. PotChimp has been breeding GDP seeds from some original Ken Estes stock. I grew GDP once that I got as clones from a friend and I was unable to clone it and he lost it. It was from the only seeds he had of it and him and the guy he got them from had a falling out so he couldnt get more.

I have thought of running Cannabiogens PCK but have not gotten around to it. It seems like all of Nspecta's F1's he made from clone only strains have PCk as the father in them. He has the Mendocino Purples in F1 form as well as the Purple Urkle. I have wanted to grow the PU and Mendo purple so when I got told about a cross containing both I jumped on it. I got lucky and found CSI gear for $55/11 packs. Every where else wants $100+ per pack and a lot of them have the 7 packs and not the 11 packs. I should have bought more when I had the chance. His Pink Stink Bubblegum won a cup not long ago and from the pictures I have seen it looks like one hell of a strain. Since I was running Bubblegum and have Sour Bubble seeds from BOG I passed them up.

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

He's pricey and he runs a small seedbank, but he runs on his rep as I see it. If you watch his interview by Kevin Jodrey, he comes through as a humble guy who doesn't boast about being 3rd generation grower from Emerald Triangle. It's a fact as well as his stock of elite cuts his family has been getting since the 80s, which makes him first choice to go for genuine classics. He also speaks out if his crosses herm like that PCK x WiFi #43, which I won't be getting for sure :D

Ok guys, here's this shitty outdoor produce you've been hearing so much about ;)

This Sensi Star has been hanging on a rope for 5 days in 64F, then went into a carton box for a day, then into a turkey bag for a day and finally back into a carton box for another day after which it's gonna be ready to be jarred I think. Trimmed today.

H202 sounds like something I will try if needed. It's already sold in a convenient 3% solution. :)

Indoors, I use neem at 100:2 (2% solution) plus whatever soap it takes to emulsify. It needs to be used fresh (within 3-4 hours) as neem will degrade in water overnight. I spray until the leaves drip.

Outdoors, nature preys on spider mites. I've never had an outdoor grow, but when I had the beginning of a mite infestation, I dropped two mite ridden seedlings out in the yard for 2 days and nature took care of the adult mites and some of the eggs. I brought them back inside to finish cleaning them up.

No it's ok, they won't mind being moved around, especially to get more sun exposure.
