Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed Stock

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

Hey, Con I took a picture of a leaf off both UD variants I've got here. My first pick, I took for my plant, was #3. Both are roughly about the same size, #3 being slightly tighter structure than #2. But if you look at the serrations on #3 compared to 2, it has almost twice the amount of serrations and the serrations are set like saw teeth,, one points up, the next down. You can see it if ya look kind of close. Both are doing great and I did keep them small enough that I could finish them inside,,, push come to shove........

Hope you got some ground water rising. I wasn't joking, next year bury 5 or 6 diapers in the bottom of your holes.... Probably cheaper than water crystals. Or you can cover the ground around your plant with a moisture barrier to stop evaporation. Even mixing mulches in help retain water alittle... vermiculite works to.. But it doesn't last long,, acouple months and it degrades. The polymer crystals work over and over.. Everytime it gets water on it,, they suck up 400 time their weight in water and slow releases it as it drys out,, then rehydrates with the next rains and so forth.

I'll take that :joint: Hell man, I won this thing without even competing, so it definitely feels good :)

NCW, these leaves definitely look differently. #3 should be Chem, so more relaxing one. These saw-like serrations usually pop up on this one and the leaflets have closed structure, which is how I usually recognise it. #2 with these leaves points to another pheno indeed, which might be Boom. They are almost identical until mid to late flowering, when buds start getting different shapes and smells get different too.

Structure is very similar in both with Boom leaning sideways a bit more due to slightly floppier branches. I hope you get two different expressions by the end, so you can figure out which one works better for you. As I said they shouldn't take more than 23-25 days from now on :thumb:

I was getting anxious and I did plan a water run in case the rain fizzled, but now I'm certain my gals will produce :thumb:

Happy to hear things are looking good. Congrats on the JotM, that's very cool, and the goodies:Namaste: too.

I've really come to really appreciate hearing your explanations and insights, and your knowledge of growing with organics. I've learned quite a bit. :volcano-smiley::thanks:

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

Anyway, it seems we're gonna enjoy a perfect weather for a while after rainy weekend. Temps in shade dropped down to high 70s to low 80s and RH is at 42%, I guess that should set the gals right for flowering. If it keeps I may get some excellent bud by the end of the month :thumb:

It sounds really good, especially after such a hot summer. I've been researching stuff about indicas and it seems some indoor growers drop night temps for a week or two in late bloom for better trichome and terpene production. Did anyone ever try that? Are results good?

I would say yes. I know it brings out the colors. I lowered my night time temps to 68 F and it has changed the smells for sure. I know ACE recommends lowering flowering temps to 20 C for like the last 4 weeks of flower on their Kali China to increase trichome and terpene production.

It seemed to increase the terpenes for myself along with bringing out the colors. It's supposed to help speed them up a bit as well, but I've not noticed whether it did or not.

Along the same lines, when I was in full production it seemed that late blooming plants were happier with lower light intensity, too.

Anyone else have that feeling? :hmmm:
