Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed Stock

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

My first 'lombo gold score in 1973 was interesting. I put the word out for an elbow of 'lombo, and got a response for a half elbow for a good price. So I went over with my connection buddy and the weed was not there yet, someone was going to get it. But there were 3 guys there all waiting in anticipation. Soon the package arrived, a garbage liner filled with fresh luscious loose colas. We de-seeded, rolled and sparked one up, and we were soon stoned. We listened to the Traffic album with Low Spark of High Heeled Boys on a new Pioneer stereo system. It sounded so good! Then we smoked another and another... I left them 4 colas and went home to weigh the rest out. Word got out and what I had available was gone in a few days.

It's too bad cold colombian women are fake as hell. Fake tits, fake ass cheeks and fake personalities, money lovers and gold diggers as far as I'm concerned. But then again, those are the same blotches that are atracted to America. Conrad, weed looks exotic, I'm trying that bubba next. I'm smerkin a cone 4 y'all

Bet that smoke is real tho. :volcano-smiley:

Glad your Dill plant turned out to be something special.

I keep finding that looks aren't that great an indicator of what you'll get in the smoke.

Sure it tracks often, but there are lots of surprises too.

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

I grew some of that Grinspoon whatever herbs once that turned out some buddage that looked airier that Lumbo. It was decent smoke what it did produce. The Lumbo in my memories for the 70's had pretty solid buddage. I remember it was 10 bucks a 'finger' they sold around the highschools. 25-35 an ounce. It was shit compared to that 10 dollars 'lid' of the commercial. I remember it was the first time I ever heard some call something an ounce. Mexico got their head out there ass abit later. I had a connection down in New Mexico I was able to score a good price on herbs. Last time I was down there I checked out what was going around. The kilos I use to get for 75 bucks are now 1,000$, basic commercial Mexican, or swag' with seed. Not near what I use to get with tree trunks and dirt mixed in,, and TONS of seeds. The Commercial I saw last time,, maybe year 2000', was decent. Few seeds and no tree trunks that I saw breaking a piece off the brick. But now they did have some pretty good shit coming across. They said it was called San Marten Red was the number one he had, well his family, he was in federal prison when I was there, was good bud. Maybe 10-15? seeds in a lid, no shake all bud. I did notice the size of a key brick was smaller. Maybe 25% smaller. I didn't think they could compress it any smaller. But the bud was really good smoke, red haired sensie. Well, as close as I guess anyone can ever get growing crops the size they do down there. But it was costy, just under 2 grand a key. Now they did sell less than 10 key at a time.and prices get less with quantity.
Hey Jo I love fake tits as long as tastfully done,, besides I like my women alittle on the trashy side.. Now not my old Lady'' but them enterianment ladies anyways. Find em,Feel em, F em and forget em. Fake personality suck. But I could look past that for a minute or two.. Depends on what I been drinking.. JK But I hear ya.
Hey Con as long as she smoked well,, don't matter what she looks like.. I'd imagine that you was getting alittle low on stash by now. And that is a welcomed plant.. GL out there and Keepem Green

I love the sounds of your CG! That is my favorite high. It sounds a lot like a good Panama. I have a young (maybe 5 nodes) Panama x CG going now. Have you taken the bubba yet?

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

So I got my chances to see afew of them. Names like Black African Trip weed. Puna budder Pollen hash, that pamama red is the shit. Hell then 'spears' from mexico,, man wtf was they called. Seedy as all hell but was a step up from comericial crap. Mohawken something. 15$ a oz. But I loved that opium wash dipped buhda sticks, the big sticks, at about 7 grams. The Thai sticks I seen, was smaller sticks like 3-4 grams. Man ya'll making me drool on myself. Once got this black bubblegun hash from Germany. A friend of a friend was in the Army and 200 gram slab stored perfect in some new JLB stuff he was bringing home. That stuff got me so stoned. But I was a kid to.. We tended to get abit higher.

Sounds like my experiences with women in Southern California! They all looked great, but as my brother said once at the Rainbow Club on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood, they all may as well be on TV. They had personalities of stones. They all had just popped out of a beauty parlor, and if you got close you realized its all fake; makeup, clothes, hair color, implants, etc. Mark Anthony complained about being married to J-Lo; he said she had tons of implants and lifts, and she was always looking for more of them. She is from The Bronx, NYC, NY. Fake as can be, but they flock after her. Like her new beau, Mr Steroid himself, A-Rod. I wish them luck when they get old.

That was likely called Michoacan. Long loose colas from SW Mexico, and particularly Michoacan, Oaxaca, and Guerrero were common then, and a cut well above bricked weed. Black African Tip weed was also called African Black Magic, but we just called it Black African, or just African. I took one hit of some African 'home grown' at a wrap party in Beverly Canyon in LA once and passed out. Next thing I knew I saw a small silver spoon leaving my field of vision and a woman with wild blonde hair with purple tips all played out smiled at me and said, "I thought that you could use a lift." I became the life of the party then. She remains a vision on my head that I will never forget. Turned out that she was part of a cast of a play running in town, and they were out to party after the show. I was part of the video/movie scene then, as an earlier roommate of mine in Pacific Grove was from Santa Monica, and he later returned to LA to be an art director. When I was at SDSU in Sandy Eggo, I would go to LA and work on rock videos and commercials getting stages and back drops ready for shooting. Anyway, that party raged until about 4am when the vodka ran out. No more vodka, no more party. Everyone left. Lesson learned on how to quench a party w/o having to tell anyone to leave. "Sorry people, out of booze!" and poof! Empty house, except some guy passed out under the kitchen table, and maybe some babe wanting to get laid, or more often wanting an in on the video/movie scene. I knew some producers and directors in town, and thus I was a lever for them to yank on. Literally and figuratively. Since I did not live in LA and always came and went, they thought I was on the LA-NYC-London circuit that a lot of musicians were on. Little did they know. I was just a student at university.

Yeah I chopped her, too much damage. It was hot, so the buds got dry already and they look quite good. The smell is pretty solid too for weed that got burnt heavily by the end, musky tangerine or lemon that started getting bad.

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

Hopefully you didn't find any males this year,, or if you did you got them in time. There is a place for seeds,, just not in ones crop. Maybe in a tent but. Sometimes it can't be helped,, last cash crop I did got afew sides on one side of the grow. Came to fiind out some newbie was growing a mixed batch of male/female right over that ridge we were growing on. I got to met the fool durning harvest. We actully slipped up on him and his partner while they were cutting down the branches. Freaked their shit out, after talking we found they knew no better than grow males. Hell they didn't even tend the crop, but they did get a harvest, just it was seeded. Pretty heavy too. My plants were close to a half mile away. And the couple that got seeded where on the river bank side.. I figure the breeze carried the pollen down the banks. Does get pretty windy some days. I was just happy it worked and 80% came in seedless. The ones that got seeded wasn't bad,, 20 seeds in a bag. So even it worked.
My first job in LA was at Silver Lake Recording Studio helping a friend do music mixxing. The bands that played on that 24 track mixer,, that list goes on. We were working the off hours, cheaper rates, an did stuff like Gospal or whatever we could to pay the bills. I was a 15 year old punk livin on Santa Monica beach and he put me to work. We had a blast. I use to party with older peoples, like 17-19 and I know Brad,, he was 26 enjoyed the parties himself,, alot. So I brang him to many a local's party on the sand, at life gaurd tower 26. All you could drink smoke stuff up your, errr and a babe or two. But he knew everybody in the music bissnes. My favorite was sitting down and having afew drinks with Eric Clapton/ Some of the Eagles, and Ronnie. But one night I was working on the board and I spilled my beer i it and shorted asection out. Stupid me. Last big thing I heard he worked on was a Batman wovies. He did the mixxing, but another company got the criedts.. Oh well he's still doing good. Least was 10 years about.

Looking forward to seeing a update as soon as weather breaks... GL and Keepem Green

Yeah most of the time it's not a good indicator. A little bit like judging your wine by the colour, it'll give you a general idea, but it's way too little information, so you have to put it to a test, cause looks are deceiving! I also don't expect a lot from smell and flavour alone, cause most of the time I get better high from a bud that's less refined in this department, but has better cannabinoid profile. You can get both certainly, but it's a rare thing... which is why demand for OG is so high probably, although I heard Kevin Jodrey saying that in Cali people are crazy about it, cause it appeals to ex opioid users :surf:

I enjoy these stories a lot. I've never been in the music business myself, but happened to be in a band or two and I still have a lot of friends who are into this or other scene as promoters, DJs or sound engineers. I've seen a lot of craziness over the years wherever I lived (and I moved around a bit), alcohol, drugs, illegal raves, squat parties, rambles with broken bottles on HC/punk gigs, I've used my own fists, knees and elbows too more than once.... well you need to have fun when you're young :)

As far as plants are concerned I might have few males, but I have it under control. UDs are all female, I checked them thoroughly. My two Lebs too. I'm not sure about Colombians, but they're popping pre-flowers as we speak, so I have it under control. On the northern slope I have 2 or 3 plants that are candidates for males, one of them is Manipuri, which actually looks like a premium stag. I might do a controlled pollination there, I still have time to decide. There will be a little bit of dust action nonetheless, cause I want to unfreeze my vial with leftover pollen from 2015 F1 UD dubbed bubblegum male. He passed very nice exotic fruit/chemical smell onto 2 test crosses I made, so it's worth giving it another go. I'd like to pollinate Colombian, Leb and also Chem UD to get F2BX1 line :cheer:

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

morning conrad that looks like a good project with the ud pollen it's been a long time since i did any breeding i plan to do it again it's fun making your own strain, I'm off to camping for a week when i get back i will start bending those two girls over oh ya baby lol for the bonsai plants that skunk is up to 21in maybe when i get back you'll have some pics of your girls, anyway have a good week stay keep your head!

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

It's hardly breeding, more like pollen chucking motivated by curiosity :)

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

That could be a scary name... you dog... Were you something them young girls were warned about,,, a pollen chucker??
Find em, feel em, f em, and forget em not bad of words to live by................. playboy of a plant world. Letting your boys have thier ways with the little village virgins...
That's all good,,, but the sad thing is once she is with 'child', she stops bud growth and pampers the brat, and hurts overall quantity and quailty. But afew seeds,,, even polleniated, never hurt me......

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

It's gonna be all under control this year, smooth brush pollination, just one secondary branch each.

BTW I thought I've had things under control with SS, but one day I found her like this, heat stressed with sun bleached leaf.

This was few days ago though and she eased up since. Still I can see some minor deficiencies popping up. Well more teas and nutes for her I guess :morenutes:
