A quick update with plants on hand.

UD, more than a week of 11/13, and I can definitely see pre-flowers growing, but most likely this will be male.

Lebs, the purple one will be potted in place of UD if it shows male pre-flowers. Seems like a candidate for a gal.

Small Lebs.

Small Manipuri or at least I think they are Manipuri, cause they came from a planter where I've had UDs sprouting since February, just a project of mine that works quite well.

And this is UD from a later batch that looked the best from all seedlings that have been growing in a planter.

After lunch I have to go and pick up my seeds from a courier depot. They screwed up by losing part of my address and refused to re-deliver. It's one of the worst couriers in Italy and if I have a choice I'm not gonna use them anymore, but Seedsman recommended them, so I went for it. Big mistake!

Ok folks, that's it for today :surf::ciao:

Salve!!!!

Booiiiaaaa..... Non so perché non abbiamo incontrato... O non ho visto il tuo diario prima di oggi. Sei il secondo coltivatore italiano che ho incontrato qui ... a 420...

My name is Kitty. (Ma un Soprannome Americana ovviamente) I am a dual national... both Italian and American citizen but I moved here permanently ... 4 years ago.

My whole life I have lived between the two countries... I always went to American schools so my writing and grammar are much better in English. I have read through all 19 pages of your journal and I would love to have a private outdoor garden but in a beach condo:.. just not possible. You say you were just here in Tuscany... That is where I am ..

I have a condo in one of the many beach towns technically province of Pisa ... ma sono bimba livornese .. Mio babbo è livornese ... Mio cuore e livornese!

Comunque... piacere, Dino! I only have a small indoor perpetual set up going and am relatively new to growing cannabis... In college... almost ten years ago... I grew with my boyfriend. But lots has changed since then.

I think things are changing here in Italy. My psychiatrist is fine with my medicinal use... But Tuscany is more progressive.

Everyone I know is out of flower this time of year. I have a set of 5 gals 4th week of flower so I will be so happy when I don't have to smoke this shit hash anymore. Then I have 11 more plants behind those. I only grow for myself... and my mother. Sempre la mama ..

We have had some bad frosts this spring ruining a lot of crops... and vines as well. Keep working on those beautiful babes... you will have a great harvest come fall!

Bravvisimo!

Ciao Kitty bimba Toscana!

And there's some good news too. I just picked up my seeds and started 4 straight away.

If one of my newest two seeds goes male, the wife has asked me to start a Northern Lights, Northern Lights based strain, or another heavy hitting indica. I first thought of Sensi Star. I've never tried it. I've heard it's quite good to spectacular. What would you recommend?

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

Not too much experience with heavy hitting indicas, but probably Granddaddy Purple or Bubba Kush or LA Affie would be my quality choices for bud and traditional landrace cultivars for hash. The ones above are newcomers here, I heard a lot of good speak, but I never grew one. I might pop these Blueberries later, it's some Seedman's game with original genetics to offer as freebies currently.

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

I love a good sensie star myself.. It's ise to be one of my stand by plants every year.. GL and Keepem Green

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

I have 5 bubba hash seeds, ill do one very soon.

I'll take a look.

Nice batch of seeds Con, the Sensi Star is really cool looking bud, the calyxes form what looks like a 5 pointed star and its pretty stoney. Looking Good Stud. TOAST

Well then I don't need more recommendations :cheesygrinsmiley:

Nice choice of seeds....that's the new bubba hash too isn't it?

Yeah it's supposed to be new batch.

Now we're gonna see how she feels here :thumb:

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

Hmm I think I'm getting to the number of plants I feel comfortable with which is around 35. Is it only my problem or everyone feels like they're always short? I'm just trying to cover the basics you know :laughtwo:

The fems are cracking BTW, so planting time will come shortly. After that I should be set I think. Also The Hill (my old spot) got inspected today and it feels safe, so I'm thinking about putting few plants there too :thumb:

How many plants is enough? Similar to the question How prepared is prepared?

If I were someone who found a ready made harvest last year orthe year before, I'd hunt that spot again come fall. Sort of like returning to a favorit mushroom spot. Maybe you'd like to try autoflowers that mature before they will expect.

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

Would have the saume amount if it weren't for the pesky day job taking up all my time. I'm not sure if you are 100% guerilla or not but I admire your ambition and scope of genetics! I'm interested in breeding some cold weather, squat, knock your face off indicas. I have spent yrs south of the border sampling herbs and I'm trying to replicate the best of both worlds in a fairly inhospitable climate. Where do you find your motivation?

For me it's enough when I feel it's enough, which is what I feel now after throwing Sensi Star and Bubba Hash in the ground. I doubt I'm gonna get ripped off this year, cause my spots are well scouted, but that's why I decided to go with 3 after all.

Yeah I do guerilla in the surrounding hills and sun dep at home. I didn't do the latter one last year and I regret, cause I'm getting low on weed... burning through the hash stash from 2015, which is still there fortunately. I also have some bubble from 2014 and also one tiny jar of Malawi Gold from the same year, so hopefully I'm gonna pull it through till I have some fresh flower in couple of weeks, which I should cause my male looking UD seems to be a girl after all judging from the shape of pre-flowers. No pistils yet, but they definitely look pointed. I did a good thing by keeping her around mostly judging by the onion/gasoline smell in early veg. I dropped her from about 30 feet few weeks ago by the way, pot smashed, roots all around... there was no setback though, HB plants are usually very strong. From what I can figure so far this is an OG pheno with little branching, which is why she threw me off a little. I'll post some pics after it's confirmed. I also took a Brix reading of Colombian Gold yesterday, she's at 17/18, so great numbers for late veg and a proof that my soil and feeding program works very well.

As far as genetics for northern/cold climates is concerned you have to go with sturdy strains bred in Canada or Denmark. You also might consider autos, that's what they are for anyway.

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

First look at The New Sunny Spot. We've had very rainy two weeks with sudden nighttime temperature drops, but plants took it quite well. At least watering is off for a while. On 6 UDs outplanted 4 are confirmed gals, which is surprising even for me as I usually detect sex around middle June. Well now I know it's possible in May and this is excellent news cause I can replace the other two with new seedlings grown from feminised seeds at any moment if I don't see some female pre-flowers on those plants shortly. They took some beating from the rain and insects, but overall it's rather minor.

Here they are

Ok, that's it folks :surf::tokin:

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

CG are doing well.
Yeah not too bad. I suppose cold nights are not optimal for this strain, but they're pulling through.

Re: Conradino23's Another Outdoor Grow With High Brix Soil - Air-Pots & SoCal Seed St

Those Colombians look amazing. Love the leaf structure. Great Job. I love your journal as i have a sweet spot for the classics.
