Photo update with a refractometer test. Results are at the bottom :)

like the spider pic,one of the many reasons i wanted to watch you grow these autos was to see if you could get them to brix up and i wanted to see what an auto grown in your soil would look like, they look healthy and have a nice shine to them this is your first attempt with these i think you can weed a few good ones that will fill the gap it just takes time lol!:bong:

One has decent Brix level, the other one hasn't, but both qualify for a cat drench in a few days. It seems they're very saturated with nitrogen after the tea 3 days ago and this for sure affects Brix. They're small, so it's gonna be difficult, but they look healthy and will probably brix up when pushed a little.

those cat drenches really work well give em a little kick in the butt get them moving,i wanted to see if you could get them to brix up these autos are a different breed for sure im sure you will get them there have fun conrad!

:goodjob:nice!

Glad you decided on the red diesel...I think Sue gas one growing too..

Yeah I'll try it. Why not?

Oh yes they do! From what I see autos don't really cause any problems. They veg and then they flower and you just wait until they finish

What is cat drench?

Cat drench is a cationic feeding that Brixers use after the plant gets through early flowering. The objective is to fill the pores in soil with cations, cause adsorption and then subsequent absorption of Ca, Mg, P and all the micronutrients to stimulate the production of compounds that we all know is important for the quality. But you need good soil for that to work.

Myself I don't like to top autos. LSTing works. But you never know when them suckers are going to flower. Some have a long veg time and you can top them. But I always say "you have to grow a plant afew times before you know what she going to do".

So me, when I only have 1 seed of this and that, works better to start them in the finish pot, or put in the ground at the seedling stage, like 15 days? Should be big enough to handle the snail and slugs? They have such a limited veg cycle. That you don't want to do anything that will slow them down. That's how they get things like 65 days from seed to finish. Or least the claims are. Hell, I flower most of my plants 63 days of flower unless.....I enjoy them seeds in that 4 pack I sent of assorted autos, from Buddha Seeds. Grab bag or floor sweepings. But I've found afew nice plants in that seed order. I plan on doing another in the next week or two.

That Red Deseil IS killer. From Barney Seeds....... In MY top 10 favorites. I started another myself. Seed cracked and I don't see any leaf yet. Still healthy if she starts making greenery. Or I'm going to start another.

Thx NCW! The summer is coming, so I might have to put an AC unit inside or otherwise the tent is going to hit high 80s. So far the temps peaked at circa 78, which is about right. I just ventilate them twice a day with a large fan and they're ok, but we're still early in the season. In the worst case I'm just gonna shut the tent for 2 months and use outdoor as much as I can.

Low 80's are workable with alot of air exchange to keep the tent as close to the ambient as possible. Long as the leaves are moving with air circulation. But,,, nothing better than Mother Nature to do you grow if possible....... GL

i no what you mean i like to lst sometimes to like you say when you top them it takes a week for it to recoop but in that respect most of the ones ive grown stay 15-20 in tall perfect for my set up,i did lst one time rite over the ground cover junipers and my son was over looking around ans he was standing inches away from one and didnt notice it of course i hadnt told him yet that i had anything going!:)

I like LST a lot, but with indoor environment it makes more sense to top them first I think. Enough space to really spread them around in my tent. I'll just buy another support LED and I should be fine. But you definitely don't know how they're gonna behave if you never grew them before... fuckin' autos. They might be useful though with their size, so it's not all bad :thumb:

i bet its tough for a guy like you who has been growing outdoors and just let them go,indoors is a whole new world but youll find your nitch and when you get settled with your new grow situation your going to be a happy grower high all the time lol!

Morning Conradino :rollit:
I grew an auto that sprouted pistils at day 21-23. I was pretty shocked  They do grow a lot after they start flower, so they may yet surprise you. The one I had didn’t much, but my light was pretty bad (an older model LED) and I didn’t know anything about soil either. I’ve watched lots of auto grows since then and yeah - they grow a lot during flower, not just stretch either, new growth. I’m planning to have one or two scattered around the outdoor garden next summer and just see how they go.

I've been looking into these so called 'fast' versions some breeders are selling. They have like 25% auto flower,, but suppose to behave like a photo plant,,, but finish early Sept............. They say the little auto genetics makes they flower earlier than most and faster than regular ones? I did a BBxC99 Fast last year. It was the first to come in and it was done completely by Sept 15 the lastest. Here's one I'm going to try outdoors this year. I have 5 different strains,, all the Fast ones
Jack 47 FAST Version Feminised Seeds
GL out there and Keepem Green

There was a strain I ran probably 5 years ago...Caramelo...a freebie from Herbies(1 seed)...Missus h00k loved it...late last year I came across it again at Ace...from Delicious Seeds...they also had a Fast version of the same, so I got a few of both...I will run one of each to compare when I get my photo grow going...that leaves me with 7 more decisions to make!?...:hmmmm:...haven't updated my journal yet, but I have tiny auto green in all three pails...:cheer:...cheerz...h00k...:rollit:

Afew seed companies are offering the 'fast' version. Sweet Seeds has the most. I plan on growing alot of them and might find a good one to start working with outside. In the future...
