Conradino23 Keeps On Keeping On Outdoor & Indoor Using LOS/High Brix Methods

We do. She makes great hash :)

Hey Conrad! Quick question for you and others who may be following along. I'm into my first foray into organic, no till growing. Do you ever get visible mycelium mats of white fungus/mold on your soil? Is this normal? White, fluffy, I can almost see the spores. I mixed my soil and did a couple of top dressings with EWC and neem meal cuz I too had a mite scare. Just want to make sure this phenomenon is somewhat normal...cheers bud:goodjob:

...my simple answer is yes, it's normal and good...

...more specific...Mycelium is vital in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems for their role in the decomposition of plant material. They contribute to the organic fraction of soil, and their growth releases carbon dioxide back into the atmosphere (see carbon cycle). Ectomycorrhizal extramatrical mycelium, as well as the mycelium of Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi increase the efficiency of water and nutrient absorption of most plants and confers resistanc e to some plant pathogens. Mycelium is an important food source for many soil invertebrates.

Does it look like this? :p

Perfectly normal especially if you have the right C:N ratio in your soil.

It’s not really mould and it helps digest heavy stuff in your soil, so your plants have easier life :)

What do you top dress with?

top dress was 50/50 wiggle worm casting and un-used build a soil.

the base is build-a-soil mix, LOS style, 2nd run.

am I making sense? ( brain on vacation ):ganjamon:
It is my re-vegging zamaldelica, total experiment for me, I have a good amount of stash so no worries about nuthing.
I am just playing, watching how the plant responds, so far so good.
The mat had been there for about 1-2 weeks.
..... I figure i have at least 8 weeks left of flower on it, if it survives my neglect. I have no time for gardening this week I am going to the beach.:surf:
