Conradino23 Keeps On Keeping On Outdoor & Indoor Using LOS/High Brix Methods

Good news :)

I inspected all the plants and only Jack Herer is infested. But I managed to push them back to the bottom of the plant. As always they dwell in shadows. I’m thinking a cold shower should help as the last time and some pruning of the bottom. She’s 11 Brix, so I can see why they picked her. It’s under control though.
Flip it upside down and drown them bastards. Dip her foliage in a 5 gallon bucket of water (and Neem if your infestation is really bad)..set a couple 2x4 across the bucket so you can lay the plant on it upside down and suspended above the water. Leave it there for 30 minutes. I have a foam cut out with a notch that goes around the plants stem and keeps the soil from falling out.

IF YOU DO THIS WITH THE NEEM.....You will need to stir the bucket every few minutes to keep the neem consistent throughout the water. Let them thoroughly dry in INDIRECT light for 24 hours before putting them back under lights or out in the sun. It will fry the hell out of the leaves if you don't do this. Just because the plant isn't wet doesn't mean it won't fry. After 24 hours of indirect light, give it another dip in plain water and let it dry good and it will good to go. If the plant is smaller you can wash the leaves between your finger tips while its in the water to help knock anything off that might still be clinging on.

The two times I have had outbreaks of any insects (other than fungus gnats), this method killed them 100% in one shot. It might burn a few leaves if you use the neem but the bastards are gone!

Good luck brother!

hi conrad @Lazyfish got three #5 clones the other day wont be long now before the#5 infiltrates the Oregon area lol!

Ya know... his shit seems to just get around.

Here's a swamp grown UltraDog....

It's not a huge bud producer, but grows very well and the smoke has become my fave.
She was a transplant test. I decided I didn't like transplanting. She's gets half of her food from a load of Osmocote, but the other 1/2 is MegaCrop. A little slow. This will be my first 5gal UD.

looks good tead she looks like one I grew last summer nice smoke!

Wow @Van Stank That sounds like a killer (haha) method! I usually just spray before dark and go. A dunk would be tough, but if it is 1 shot, then it's worth it! Then the rinse dunk sounds like a great idea, too.

@Tead Nice UD!

It can be a pain in the butt, but I went through a bout of spider mites 2 years that was a pain in the ass and I don't want to ever have that long drawn out battle. I would rather kill them at once and that has been the best method I have used. I did it on the BCP thats up for POTY and fried her pretty good. She grew out of it obviously but it took a few weeks to recover because I didn't let it fully dry or do the rinse on it before putting it back in under the light.

I have a big 30 gallon trash can I will use if I need to dunk a bigger plant but a 5 gallon bucket works fine on smaller plants.

It is....but when you have a bad back and hurts to bend or twist, its much easier to do this than moving them out of the tents every couple days to spray again. That stuff kills me

could you explain the smell and flavor of the #5 when you open the container what is that smell to you?:)

Yeah it’s like smelling fresh pine resin!

How hot was the shower?

Not too hot, just so I felt that temperature was high enough to kill the mites, but not to burn the leaves.

It’d be possible, but these pots are pretty heavy, so damaging the plant would be in the cards and I’d have to find a bucket big enough to hold the whole plant. I feel that as long as the infestation is light my pyrethrin and shower treatment works pretty well.

Yeah man, I know you appreciate this gift and I’m happy :) You found a good female to propagate straight away, which is pretty lucky too :)

They’re pita in bloom, but in veg I kinda take it easy. They were fighting for survival when I checked today, very few, but they started skipping on WQ, so I went with sulphur spray after dark and sprayed all the gals to prevent them from coming back and reproducing. I wanna flower them in 2 weeks, so I’d like them clean asap.

Btw I’ve been toking on dosi-d hash and it’s a very potent stuff. A tiny bit keeps me high for 2 hrs. It’s pretty uplifting I have to say. High ceiling for sure :smokin2:
