Conquer's Lavender Grow 2010!

Bummer!

Seems you have plenty of options there amigo. Throw some shit at them, also, try and figure out why and how they got in there in the first place so that it isnt a perpetual problem

For the community perspective. try take some pics of the evidence, tell-tale signs that may help others, indeed what conditions were like. Was it extra dry?

Good luck man

5$ a bottle for that safers soap and can be used till day of harvest. If I was you I'd try it. They have it of its equal at walmarts even. Another product called Organocide. Same price range and it uses sesame oil, and edible fish oil. One thing remember mite grow a tolerance to sprays. It's best to switch up. Spray today wait 5-7 days for eggs to hatch and spray again. GL

Thanks everyone for all the responses and support!! I stopped by Homedepot earlier today and and got some Ortho EcoSense Insecticidal Soap (They didn't have the Safer's stuff). I am going to give it a try in a couple hours before the lights turn on. I figure if I go in with a green light a few hours before and blast them with the spray, they should be dry by the time the lights go on.

Should I spray down the inside of the tent walls and floor with the stuff too? Probably wouldn't hurt huh?? I want to make sure I get ALL those f@ckers!

I'll try to take some "before & after" pics to post later tonight as well.

:thankyou::thankyou:THANKS EVERYONE!!:thankyou::thankyou:

Be back soon!

If it were me I'd make up alittle bleach water mix to spray it down with. Take the plants out after the lite comes on and spray it. It don't take but 5 or 10 minutes for it to dry. That will also kill any mold spores if any are around. Safers and Earth Options have potassium salts of fatty acids or something like that in it. Probably the same stuff. Even dish soap works good. Myself I think I'd be scared to spray mine with alcohol. 50/50 seems alittle volatile to me. But got to go for what ya know. I'll stick with oragnics for control. They seem to be working fine. GL with your mites Dude

Ok, so I just spayed the plants crazy style. I almost used the whole bottle! I also wiped down the inside of the tent with clorox disinfectant wipes. I really hope this stuff works! I can't imagine losing my girls to those damn mites!!

I also tried to take some pics beforehand, but they didn't really show any of the spider mite webs or damage...so anyway, I'll try to take some pics tonight when the lights turn on.

THANKS EVERYBODY!!

You do know you have to repeat the spraying in 5-7 days when their eggs hatch. Chances are once ya get mites, you will havem till ya shut down your grow. It's next to impossible to kill em all. But you can keep em under control. Afew mites aren't going to hurt anything. It sounds like you have a good chance tho of kill em off. If ya got em early enough. Watch the leaves for white dots on top. They work like little sap suckers setting up their drilling rigs on the bottom of the leaves. They suck the chloroform out which leaves the dots. Hopefully ya gottem early enough. Or I hope not, but might have to keep em in check with a spraying every week or so. Best luck to ya. Well I got to go pants some wildflowers out back and bulbs out front. Lates

Thanks Norcali,

I really hope I can knock em out. I will do another spray about 5 days from now...and again 5 days from that. Are the plants ok to keep spraying as the buds start thickening up?? Right now I don't worry because the buds are still very small and developing, but I'd be scared to spray them when they are big and sugar-covered.

bad idea later in bloom. your best bet then is fumigation if possible, or predators. ladybugs wont cut it.

Good to know! I hope I can finish flowering these girls without any big issues. Then I can FULLY clean everything before I move the Lavenders in for flower.

Does anyone know what that ailment is on the leaf photo above? I'm still unsure.

ya know, it almost looks like damage from foliar spray, but if I had to choose between mites or deficiency i think i'm leaning more toward Deficiency. Thats just my opinion tho. can you get a close up shot of the underside of that leaf?

Thanks Jason. I know it's not from the foliar spray, because they were like that before I sprayed. I will try to take some better photos when the light turn on this evening. Check back this evening if you can!:thankyou:

The pic above it looks a bit low on zinc with those creases in the leaves..

As for the spots, hmmmmm, not sure really, they look a bit uniform for some of the more common deficiencies. Not Mg anyway as veins are not green. is PH low? Any other symptoms? coloured stalks or anything?

Ok, here's some better pics of one of the affected leaves. Also, I see no signs of mites anywhere.
