Conquer's Lavender Grow 2010!

Thats all I use is the liquid test. It's always working and it's close enough, close enough for the women I go with. 9$ covers ya for 6-7 months. GL

Yes I do have liquid PH test drops. That is actually what I used for my entire first grow. It is very hard if not impossible to use the drops during the flowering period though...because my nutes and molasses really color the water.

I think I will go the route of calibrating my PH pen before every watering just to make sure I'm getting accurate readings.

Thanks guys!

UPDATE!

Hey, I took some pics a couple minutes ago! Today is day is day 22 of flower. I haven't seen any more traces of spider mites...and I've been watching like a hawk! But, my one girl is still having some k issues. I watered with just plain water with a 7 ph...hopefully I'll start seeing some positive results really soon.

On to the pics:

Thanks everyone. More to come soon!:roorrip:

Im sure as I said b4 tho that potassium allllways shows black edges to the leaves tho and yours do not. That is a big difference, not just that things have spots or blotches etc but the way they form. Black not brown/gold like calcium, entire leaf but no edges like potassium. Those are the sorts of things you need to narrow down the deficiencies.

PH and indeed the actual water supply itself can cause all sorts of things and many times it seems this is the basic culprit.

Yes calibrate the pen regularly, I always run it under the tap on the next watering to see if it is still accurate.

I was just chasing nutes after a bit of stress on top of things and came back to the 'when in doubt, flush em out' statement. So I did.

Congrads on the mites. Keep on spraying tho, stop a week or two before you harvest tho. Them buggers never leave, you just get them down to a manageable amount.... Buds starting to take some shape dude. I'm glad to hear ya got rid of them buggers. Mine are way down tooo. I just found some aphids on mine in the Doghouse. SSSOOOOOOOOOO time to takem out for a walk and givem a shower. If aphids continue I'll get a tube of Lady Bugs. They work great for them. Looks good Dude hope a good harvest...

Hmmm...Either way, I know that my girls have all the nutes they need in the soil. Something's just getting locked out, probably due to my carelessness with the PH of my water. It could also be my tap water...too saline? :hmmmm:I don't know. But it seems to be getting a bit better since I've fed just plain ph'd water.

Thanks norcal! Yea, I'm going to stay on top of those little fuckers. After these bagseed girls get done flowering I'm going to FULLY clean and sterilize the tent before the Lavenders go in to flower. I hope that will knock out any stray mites hiding about!

Good luck with your pests. :goodluck: Get medicated and watch those ladybugs pillage them aphids! :smokin:

I just got 2 new Blueberry clones!..traded two of the Lavender clones for them:thumb: So, after the bagseed girls get done flowering at the end of the month, in will go the Lav and BB for their turn. I can't wait!

Anyway, everything seems to be back on ttrack and going smoothly. The buds are stacking up nicely and getting bigger everyday! They do seem to be lacking a bit of N, probably because I didn't really feed much during the veg cycle. I will be giving them a mix of FF Grow Big and Big Bloom tonight with their watering.

Does anyone know a good ratio for the nutes? 50/50 grow & bloom??

A couple pics later tonight. PEACE!:peacetwo:

No idea what FF calls for. You have the others Open Sesame, Beasty Blooms, Chai Ching etc? I use those along side the Technflora Nert's I use on my inside plants. Make sure you spray those veg plants twice before they go in the Flower room. It don't take but afew mite eggs to start a problem. Don't mind me talking bout them, once ya get them it's next to impossible to fix it. For some reason they seem to like my flower tent. The humidity levels and temp has alot to do with it. My reasoning is this, it they started there once, they will again. Prevention is the best cure. GL with ya flowers Dude.

NAh, I only have the Grow Big and Big Bloom. Lack of $$$, etc etc. I actually want to try the whole Earth Juice line. I've heard lots of good things about them. I think I may spring for it next grow. Anyway, I'll look up the FF recommendations to see what they say about mixing nutes.

Also, I fully plan to stay on top of these pests. This is WAR! Ha! I'm pretty sure I know how I got them. I have been doing plenty landscaping, and not fully changing clothes at the end of the day when I come home to tend to my ladies...dumb! Live and Learn! It won't happen again.

Thanks norcali!:thanks:

I love Ncali's advise. much easier to get rid of those punks in veg. they hid in the buds later, and are a bitch to get rid of. Straight up 50% Isporobyl Alcohol/50% water wil dry them out to death.. very cost effective and very effective. Just not on plants producing trichs. It even dehyrdates the eggs.

...also, I like earth juice as long as you feed it as soon as you mix it or arent running a pump system. You definatly wanna get the Microblast if you use that line. It will suppliment the micros that generally fall out over time in teas and such (which earth juice is) ....oh, and catalyst for sure. I appologise if someone already mentioned this, but those are the key to the earthjuice line.

P.s. your plants look wicked. Healthy healthy. i'm interested in seeing what that plant does for you. are you expecting it to turn shades of purple, or is Lavendar a temp. triggered strain?
+ reps f I can.

Thanks JL!

These plants that are flowering right now are just some good bagseeds, not the Lavender. The lavenders are vegging out right now waiting for their turn in the flower tent. But yes, I am hoping to see some purple towards the end of flower with these. One of them started to showing some purple during a cold snap a bit ago...so I think that they have it in them. I'm just going to try and keep them as cool as possible and see if anything happens.

As for the Lavender turning purple, I'm not sure what will happen. I've heard lots of different comments ranging from purple, temp triggered purple, and no purple at all. I guess it will be a surprise!!!

PEACE!:thumb:

Update:

Day 33 of flowering. Still growing! The leaves are showing a bit of N deficiency...is it too early to let it go, or should I supplement with some grow nutes to bring the N back?

:bravo: Looking good man. Keep up the good work. I'd say yea, hit them with a little extra nitrogen and/or calmag. Just my opinion, but I like to keep them nice and green from the soil up all the way to flush if possible.

....either way, they're looking great man. I take it you got a hold on the potassium thing?

Seeya later,
