Come Grow With Me: A Beginners Guide

All 6 of the Cherry on Top have popped their heads up. All should be standing tall tomorrow. That was a pretty quick germination. 3 days from seed.
I took 8 clones tonight. 2 from each plant. The 3 Clones I had left from the 1st 9 are doing great. Cup is filling with roots fast. Probably up-pot in a week by the looks of things.
Sunday I'm putting the Bruce Banger & White Widow in the Flower Room. That's a little over 6 weeks veg & it's time to move on to the other plants so it is, what it is.

So here are the 3 Clones I kept. Pretty good root growth so far. I'm just giving these girls 50 - 60 ml. of plain water per day. I'll feed nutes after I up-pot.

Here's a pic of the 6 Cherry on Top babies. Also a pic of the Clones I started. I'm not too sure 3 of them will make it. They look pretty weak.
The seedlings are getting 50 ml. of plain water every day also but watering to the outer edges of the cup & letting it soak into the center on it's own.

This is the Bruce Banger. I Super Cropped her after I took this pic today since she goes to Flower on Sunday.

Here's the White Widow. Just tied all her Branches down more today. She also goes to Flower on Sunday.

The Gorilla Girl still isn't doing much. Last time I grew her she was the biggest one. Going to leave her veg a while.

And here we have a few pics of the Peyote Wi Fi. No pistils yet; but as you can see all those leaves I removed are filling back in quickly. This girl is at 5 grams of MC per gal. with 3 ml. of Terp. & 2 ml. of Cal Mag per gal. She is drinking about 1.75 gallons every 3 days right now. I expect that to go to every 2 days soon.

I've been able to keep my Temps between 68 - 73 F throughout a 24 hour period so I can live with that.

Humidity is staying 25 - 35% so it's fine too.

Catch up anytime .... lol.
This grow sure isn't going as planned. My plants are usually way bigger. I'm wondering about this new version of MC. If I get another grow this way using it I'll change nutes.
I haven’t tried it yet but hearing that makes me glad, @West Hippie has been fussing with it to. I plan on switching from Advanced I’m just not sure which way I’ve swayed yet.

I'm tempted to try Geo Flora. But I did have good results with the cheaper GH stuff before so not sure which way I'd go.
I would not go back to AN though as I get the same results with GH for a fraction of the price. Some of the GH additives gives the weed a really good taste too like the Fruit & Fusion for instance.

Clones look really good!!!

Clones look really good!!!
Thanks. First time 100% of them made it. I'm in shock .... lol. I think the trick is to make sure the stem isn't too skinny when you take the clone from the mother. I just took 8 more clones & the 3 with skinny stems look pretty much dead. The other 5 with a little thicker stems look like they'll be fine. I haven't done a lot of cloning so I'm still figuring it all out.
But that is something that stands out to me.

I'm wondering if the slower growth could also be partly to do with the training. I remember reading somewhere, possibly the quadlining thread, that when training branches down you shouldn't go as far as horizontal or lower. They should be just above horizontal. It does something that slows down growth if you go lower. You've probably trained like that previously without issue but it was just a thought. Looks like some of the branches are horizontal and even below in places.

No, actually this is all experimental training. Trying different things to see what works how. It's given me some perspective on the way I want to Top & Train by seeing the different reactions on these plants. I know I will never Top at the 2nd node again. Between the 4th & 5th is best with no doubt. I also like how things come out when I top each of the 4 remaining branches. It gives me 8 big branches that make a nice circle. Best to cut 1st 2 nodes off & start training with the 3rd & 4th nodes. Probably best if you wait till about week 4 to start training & trimming. (The way I usually do it). I never paid much attention to different growth patterns before so this was a learning experience for all of us.
You'll be able to compare the Peyote Wi Fi from this grow & it's training to one of it's clones that I'll train my normal way.
I'm pretty sure I've sacrificed yield to learn these things; but it's all good. I'll still pull at least 2 lbs. from the 4 plants total.
I think I've learned a thing or 2 about cloning also. Or at least this is how it's working for me so far. You want to take a decent size cutting with a thicker stem (about the size of a #12 wire) from the middle to upper section of the mother.
They seem to grow the best & the fastest. The bubble cloner is a Godsend ! I love it, but I may add a bigger air pump.
I may even make a bigger cloner .... ?
I'm pretty sure some people learned a lot from this journal so far. I've done things so many different ways it would be hard not to.
I'm looking forward to getting these girls to Flower so I can get to working with the New batch. I'm not sure if I'll get any females from the Cherry on Top since the seeds came out of dispensary weed. Hope I get at least 1. All I want is 2 anyway so if all 6 are female I'll donate them to someone.
I only plan to keep 2 of the Peyote Wi Fi also. I might just throw the 3rd one in the Flower room after the up-pot.

OK, going to pop 3 more seeds. Which pack of 3 do I use ?

1) Shock Trauma
2) Glue Cookies
3) Rusty Glue
4) Power Glue
5) D'Qar

Not sure if these are Regs or Fems so figured since I have to determine sex on Cherry on Top I may as well toss these in the mix. All from New 420 Guy Seeds (sponsor).

So give me your choice. I'll plant tomorrow night.

I've decided to try something I haven't done yet with my new plants (Peyote Wi Fi Clones, Cherry on Top & Glue Cookies).
I think I'm just going to try 3 gal. plastic pots with a 5 - 6 week veg & go to flower. This will be with 12 plants in 3 gal. pots. So top once & a little LST & that's it. Let's see what kind of yield this type grow produces.
As you can see, I like to try different things. It is actually giving me a really good perspective on growing. I'm definitely learning new things.

Sounds like It'll pack a punch.
Hope so. I haven't seen it in a dispensary yet. If I run into it I'll have to try it though. I set a goal to make mine better then theirs. Not sure how well it works though because I end up smoking the joint I saved to compare it with.
