Come Grow With Me: A Beginners Guide

Not sure if I mentioned it but I did up-pot the 3 Peyote Wi Fi Clones to 1 gal. pots. Next up pot they'll go to 3 gal.
Currently feeding the Clones at 3 gr. MC per gal. (24 oz.) to get run off.
The 6 Cherry on top get 50 ml. plain water around the outer rim every day or two. So far, So good on those girls.
The 3 Glue Cookies just got planted tonight so not much to say about them.
The Bruce Banger I put in the Flower room today. It is what it is !
The White Widow will go to flower in a week or so. Just depends on her growth.
The Gorilla Girl will stay in Veg till I need to make some room or she gets big enough.
The Peyote Wi Fi in Flower just might exceed my expectations. She seems to be growing quite well at the moment.
I'll get some pics tonight. I have to go check temps every couple hours now that I have both HPS lights on. They are both on 50% for the moment. I'll up the wattage soon. Right now there's 500 watts per plant so I'm OK.
I got to get use to seeing the leaf color under these lights. Hard to tell right now. I think they are a little light colored but so hard to tell in this light. Going to have to put a Clip on Light in there to check right before lights on.
 
I want to start this off with a review on Acurite Temp & Humidity Sensors. They Suck ! I have 3 of them. I put new batteries in all 3. Put all 3 next to each other & got 3 way different Temp & RH readings. I officially declare them junk.
Going to buy me an Old School Reliable Mercury Thermometer to use in my grow area's.
So I decided to check Leaf Temp, Room & Wall Temps with the Laser Thermometer. All 4 walls were real close at about 72 F. Floor was coldest at 65 F. Leaf Temp was about 63 F. So these RH Monitors are 5 - 12 degrees off.
Anyway, lowered my fan speed to try to warm it up a little. I'll know more tonight at lights on.

How the 5 x 5 is at the moment. 3 Peyote Wi Fi up-potted to 1 gal. 6 Cherry on Top sprouted in Solo Cups. 3 Glue Cookies in Solo Cups. 8 Clones for someone. 1 Gorilla Girl & 1 White Widow.
I fed the GG & WW this morning so next time they need fed the WW goes to Flower.

I use this Wire Garden Tie to start my LST. I just cut off some pieces & make them "U" shaped to go over the branch to hold it in place.

Then just slide it over the branch & push it in the soil to the desired branch location & leave it. I'll move it out farther or add more ties as the branch grows out.

This looks great buddy, what is the point of LST?

My TSW 2000 actually pulls 300 watts & the TS 3000 pulls 450 watts. Most the LED advertised watts are actually HID equivalent ratings & they pull less power. I'm guessing your light is about 300 watts.
That's perfect for a 3 x 3. You can do 1 very nice size plant up to 4 small plants or 30 or so SOG plants where you veg about 2 weeks & flip to flower. If you are doing an Auto I'd only do 1 because you have no control over it's timeline. All you can do is LST the whole time to get her big & bushy for lots of good bud.

Looks like Iv caught up Buds Buddy!!
I’m green to this although Iv grown lots of outdoor veg etc. My room is 5’x7’ with 4 1200w lights and I’m growing 40 Skywalker OG in coco in 11ltr pots under the WhatsApp tutoring of my Bro in law. I’m reading as much as poss and your step by step beginners guide has been great so far. Could you expand on nodes? 1st 2nd 3rd etc, perhaps some before and after like the topping pics.

By Tying the main branches back (LST) all the side branches grow straight upwards giving you more top colas. Bigger yields overall.

Not sure what you mean. Soil, Coco, Hydro ? Training & Topping ? Lighting Type ? LST, SOG, SCROG ?
I haven't done SOG but I hear it's the fastest since there's a really short veg. Usually about 2 weeks & then to Flower.
So you get 2 - 4 oz. per plant. Yield to time ratio depends on the number of plants you do. In a 4 x 4 you do 4 plants & avg. 8 - 10 oz. per plant over 14 - 16 weeks. A SOG in a 4 x 4 you could probably fit 50 1 gal. pots & avg. 2 oz. per plant (using a low number). So you get 40 oz. doing 4 plants or 100 oz. doing 50 (rough calculation). If you are going to try SOG I suggest you get a nice healthy mother to clone from as that's a lot of seeds.

Nodes are every spot a leaf grows from. Pistils will grow from these spots & make buds. 1st node is closest to the soil & you count them upwards. I've tried topping in different places & no matter where I top 2 branches grow so I think someone is passing Bro Science around & never actually tried it. This grow has been an experiment on those types of things to find out 1st hand. My recommendation is to do the standard topping between the 4th & 5th nodes. Cut off the 1st & 2nd nodes. Top all 4 branches when they get big enough & start LST. This will give you a very nice yield with 8 main branches to LST.

How long till harvest ? Getting close ?
 
Starting to see a few pistils here & there on the Wi Fi. Had to defol her again tonight. leaves were so thick & laying on top of each other & causing wet spots (Transpiration). Caused by Temps & RH not matching up (VPD). Don't want Bud Rot. Added an oscillating fan too.
one of the Glue Cookies is starting to come up. Should have her head up tomorrow.

Well my friend that is a good question. she is at 93 days since sprout trichomes are still kinda clear/cloudy, I pulled my White widow and Cream autos to early but I’m still learning. Any advice would be greatly appreciated my friend.

I like mine Cloudy with about 10% Amber. Just depends on how you like it. Are you sure you harvested early or did that strain not have the Terpenes in it that give you the high you like. I made the mistake of not checking to see which terps strains had for over 2 years. I was never satisfied. 25% THC & not satisfied. Others that smoked it liked it. But it didn't do it for me. If you grow plants with the terpenes you like you will be happy almost every time. I look for seeds that have Linalool & Myrcene terpenes for the most part because I like a sedative couch lock high.
