Colombian Gold In Hydro By Gwhunran

Day 22 since flip.

The grow area is running normally. :)

The CO2 bucket is being refreshed and will be back in business this afternoon.:bong:

The plants are looking good. Still stretching hard.

The timing is working out just right on a reservoir change tomorrow.:) The temperatures are forecast to start dropping tomorrow and I use straight out of the faucet cold tap water in my reservoirs. The water will still be fairly warm in the AM but after that who knows.:hmmmm: I have a couple of aquarium heaters that I can use set to 68F but I don't want to plug them in yet.:bong:

The grow area is running normally, but I found a little water mess this morning as a air hose came off one of the stones and was blowing water out of the reservoir.
Simple fix.

The CO2 bucket is bubbling away. :)

These plants are just exploding in stretch. I did move a couple of branches to even things a little more. I can't remember if it was before or after I took pictures.

Stacked! Looks good @gwhunran! Love the use of the colored "pipe cleaners"! Cheers!

This is one fast growing strain.
I like using the pipe cleaners, I haven't found any negatives using them, except they are a pita to remove at harvest, with sticky gloved fingers. I save the pieces after harvest and use them again. Most of the small pieces are on their 5th or 6th grow.

The grow area is running normally. :)

The CO2 bucket is still bubbling strongly.:)

Reservoir change today. Used recommended amounts of General Hydroponics three part liquid nutrients for 17 gallons in Mid Bloom. The last reservoir was Early Bloom. Same amounts of Grow and Micro are used. Bloom is increased from 180ml to 225ml. 60ml CalMag+ was added, PHed 5.8-6.2.
If everything looks good in a couple of days, a small amount of KoolBloom(0-10-10) will be added.

The plants are still stretching strongly and are looking good. :) I moved a few more stalks this afternoon with the pipe cleaners for more even light distribution.

The grow area is running normally.:)

The CO2 bucket is bubbling nicely.:)

The plants are looking good and the new reservoir seems to agree with them. :) I'll wait another day before adding a small amount of KoolBloom(0-10-10), just to be sure.:hmmmm: I can't tell if they have stretched since yesterday afternoon, but my 2nd screen coverage seems pretty well complete. :cheesygrinsmiley: I've been adjusting some by pulling stalks over enough to fill in voids and holding them in place with pipe cleaners.:hmmmm: Mostly slight bends but some are more so. :bong:

The grow area is running normally. :)

The CO2 bucket is bubbling.:)

The CG reservoir is showing the typical PH drop between top ups, but it's slight enough that it never gets too low. A small amount of PH up, around 5ml, and repeat the next morning.

The plants continue to look good.:) Maybe the beginnings of tip burn, so I'm going to hold off on the KoolBloom(0-10-10). I believe they are still stretching but not as fast.:hmmmm: The screen is filled in nicely and buds are developing.:bong:

The plants are looking very vigorous and healthy, with good color. :) I do believe the main stretch is over.:bong: They may get a little taller, but the fast vertical wide node spacing is over. :bong: Let's make some flowers now! :cheesygrinsmiley::cheer:

Plants are looking good 👍
How does your CO2 bubbler work ? Baking soda and vinegar?

Wished he had my setup for the CO2 for a controlled environment. I can’t use it , mucks with my copd even at 750 ppm .

I further refine the finished bucket. :) A few years ago, I wanted to learn how to do very small scale distilling. So I learned the basics and sorta like my cannabis growing, there was a lot of trial and error. :) Lots of error.:cheesygrinsmiley:
The ferment bucket contains; water, sugar, stone ground yellow corn, caramelized barley, and regular bakers yeast. It also contains about a quart of backset(what's left in the distiller after a run).
After the bucket quits bubbling, I distill it. I get about 12-16 ounces(355-473ml) of clear alcohol that runs between 45 and 50%.:hmmmm:
I have a couple of small barrels, that believe it or not, lose liquid through evaporation. So, I have a good excuse to make it for the plant CO2, and to keep my barrels from going dry.:bong:

It would be neat to have. :) I can see myself making too much to keep my oak barrels full, and having a pallet of half gallon jars of clear. I can't drink anymore for entertainment due mainly to medical conditions, but I'm a tinkerer at heart.:hmmmm::rolleyes:

I came back and realized I didn’t post a pic of the setup. It’s wasting over here I ran the rest out the tank at 750 still made me dizzy guess it’s the lung to brain thing . All your girls are doing great .

growing 3 sativas (panama./ malawi ./ malawi panama at week 3 - they are 2feet + History: used 12/12 for 3 week veg) and just flipped to 11/13 I am using a Redspec LED ( 2 red QB's) - about UV do 1--% sativa's benefit from UV ? if so will ren them the last few of flower ------ any thoughts Going to start my flower count at 11/13

I couldn't believe I missed the picture. It's good to know it was an edit.

I've never seen a CO2 system like yours in use. :hmmmm: Only in journals and media. :) It would seem more comfortable thing to do when having to fill or swap tanks now that I live in a legal state. I would have had the fear of "what are you gonna do with that CO2?" question from the gas business.:hmmmm:
How many tanks would you recommend having on hand? How long does a tank last? And lastly, how much does a tank cost?

I can usually get a week or more out of a bucket.:hmmmm: I really don't know how much I'm putting in the room but I can smell it, until the bubbling gets real slow. :hmmmm::) The cost of the grains is negligible, as well as the yeast.:) I use a little over four cups of sugar per bucket, and can get about 3 buckets out of a ten pound bag. So my CO2 is relatively cheap, :)but not quantifiable.
