Colombian Gold In Hydro By Gwhunran

Thanks guys. :) They have been easy and have really grown beautifully. :) I sacrificed my Blueberry before going into the hospital, and @LKABudMan was kind enough to gift me some of his extra rooted clones. It was perfect timing. He's growing four in a 5x5 RDWC in case you haven't seen them.:cheesygrinsmiley::bong:
Hell, I didn't know you were a LKA local too, we should all get together at the Taphouse for some beers and cornhole.

Local compared to most on 420 Magazine. :) I think he's about 2.5 hours from me.:hmmmm: I live near Roanoke. I'm not much for drinking these days, health related. It would be great to get together sometime. :) Maybe Budman can take us fishing on his yacht?:cheesygrinsmiley::bong:

Colombian Gold
Day five since flip.

The grow area is running normally.

The plants continue to grow and fill out the screen. The pvc tray cover is quickly becoming fully shaded. They look pristine with no tip burn yet. They are on GH maximum recommended three part liquid nute concentration for 17 gallons in Late Growth. With 60ml of CalMag+. Quite the contrast to the Golden Tiger next door.

My largest vessel is a two-person kayak. @RedskinnedRhino could hook us up on the pontoon boat, though ;)

:clap::thumb:

I almost shrink wrapped the pontoon today. I'm down for a smoke-n-cruise before I put the old girl away for the winter. 🚣‍♂️
I don't drink any more either... but I certainly don't drink any less!
Let's do it!
I'm on vacation next week, but after that I'm up for whatever.

Colombian Gold
Day 6 since flip.

The grow area is running normally.
The CO2 bucket finished on the Golden Tiger side and it's time to move the new bucket to the CG grow for the next 50-60 days. The AC on this side will be turned off on the CG side and the AC on the Golden Tiger side will be used now. Keeping the Colombian Gold side a little warmer while running the CO2. :)

The plants are looking good and still growing fast.:) I put on the 2nd screen. It's 12inches/30.5cm above the 1st screen. I do believe the current amount of canopy at the first screen will easily fill the 2nd screen. :hmmmm::bong:

I'll look close during the afternoon check for signs of flowering. Haven't noticed any yet but haven't looked closely.

Day 7 since flip.

The grow area is running normally.

The CO2 is now bubbling away on the CG side now. :)

The plants are looking good and showing signs of flowering.:)

Now it's a matter of the stalks growing into the 2nd screen and moving them around to get the best light coverage and keep the canopy even as possible. :hmmmm::bong:

Day 8 since flip.

The grow area is running normally. I lead off every post with this statement to just say that, "all the equipment is performing as expected, no malfunctions." :)

The CO2 bucket is bubbling nicely.

The plants are drinking more and the PH is staying in range with bi daily top ups of high PH tap water.

The plants continue to look good and healthy. :)
They are stretching nicely and starting to flower.:):bong:

Day 9 since flip

The grow area is running normally.

The CO2 bucket is bubbling away.

Reservoir change today. Used General Hydroponics recommended amounts of three part liquid nutes for 17 gallons in Transition. Added 60ml CalMag+ and PHed 5.8-6.2.

Plants are still looking good and are stretching for sure. :) It won't be long till I'm spreading stalks around on the 2nd screen. :)

Colombian Gold
Day 10 since flip.

The grow room is running normally. :)

The CO2 bucket is bubbling away.

The plants are looking good and stretching quickly. They are touching the 2nd screen. :cheer:
The 2nd screen on the Colombian Gold is 12inches/30.5cm above the 1st screen.
The 2nd screen on the Golden Tiger next door is 15inches/38cm above the 1st screen. Just for comparison.

My intention is to keep moving the tallest branches out towards the perimeter of the 2nd screen until I get most of the branches through the screen for an even canopy. So far these plants are super uniform so maybe it will be possible.:cheesygrinsmiley::bong:

The plants are looking very healthy, a beautiful green pretty much unblemished so far. :) Maybe me injuring a leaf or two, while moving stalks on the 2nd screen. Moved three today. :) First moves of many.:hmmmm::cheesygrinsmiley::bong:

Day 12 since flip.

The grow area is running normally. :)

The CO2 bucket is bubbling nicely.:)

The plants are looking good and stretching for sure. :) More branches passing the 2nd screen and getting diverted away from the center. Lots of little flower tops popping out.:cheer:

They are drinking more as evidenced by the amount of water required to top up the reservoir during the bi daily checks.

You are going to have a nice full top net. Those look very healthy.

Thanks Keith,
I do believe you are right, @LKABudMan may not have had many of the Colombian Gold seeds sprout but it looks like the one that did is a superstar.:circle-of-love: It's cuttings are really healthy and vigorous! 😍 I wonder how tall they're going to get?:hmmmm: They hit that 2nd screen really fast.

Any tips for growing the Colombian Gold or have you noticed any issues? I’m going to be growing some in the future and it’s always good to have an idea of what they need. CL🍀. :thumb: :cheer:

I got these as rooted clones from a fairly mature mother plant, so I can't say a plant from seed will act the same way, but here goes:
The plants are super vigorous and have soaked up the nutrients I've given them in the flood and drain and would probably take more, but I never go over the mfg. maximum recommendations for the amount of water in the reservoir. :) So these plants are not nutrient sensitive at this point. :) They are stretching nicely at day 13 from flip, and the big question is how long will they stretch and how tall will they grow?:hmmmm::cheesygrinsmiley: They started showing evidence of flowering at day 7 from flip.:)

The CO2 bucket is bubbling a little slower after a week.:)

More stalks through the 2nd screen. :) Spent more time moving them around.:bong: I think the amount of moving around will increase exponentially until the screen is full or they stop stretching.:hmmmm::oops:

The plants look really good. Super healthy with a great green color. Lots of little fuzzy tops.
