Colombian Andes Greenhouse SIP CBD Auto Grow

Sorry about the mold. Oof! I'm with Azi on everything except the strength of the H2O2 wash. Doc said:

But with the rot there I would go at least to a 50/50 mix of 3% with water.

Here is how you get 95% H2O2 to 3%:

You can obviously change these to suit your needs, but that's the ratio your looking for.

Here is the site where that snip came from:
Thanks, Shed!
I washed them, and also bookmarked the page.

Yep, bud rot. Like Azi says, likely there is more hidden in the buds – either microscopic or visible. At this point you could do a salvage harvest. Trim the buds carefully, looking for any rot and throwing that stuff away. I use a headlamp and magnifying reading glasses. Your trichomes may not be optimum at this point, but it's better to salvage some buds than to loose it all.
Siiii.......
FYI, I grew some Purple Kush photos and that's one of the strains I gave up growing. I'm pretty sure I also found it to be vulnerable to the mold.
Oy... sigh... I guess Harlequin is out of the question...
Thanks for letting me know about PK. I am going to have to pay a lot more attention to mold resistance. (I have never grown in a humid place before, but we will get it!)
Thanks!

Hiya - read first few posts, awesome. Will catch up tomorrow.

Nick
Hi Nick! Welcome! Glad you could make it! :welcome:

It will be great to catch up! Haha!

Hi @Krissi Carbone ! Hi Shed!
I decided to leave the ones that are already well into flower, and train the younger ones properly.
About how far apart do you want the colas / stems?
Are these too close? I am worried that some of them are taller than the others, so the shorter ones might not get enough light (and hence, turn into larf). So I thought if I am going to thin the stems / colas, it would be best to trim them now. Thanks.

Hi buddy!

What you got going on there? Week 1 flower Grin?

Did you try going from the bottom up?

This is how I do it:

First off, you're missing a Croc, and secondly that looks like a pretty flat canopy to me. If you aren't into larf you can pull off the weakest flowers near the bottom, but as long as you don't mind it I'm not sure it's any lower in THC than the tops, just that there is less of it.
I didn't even see the lack of crocs!

Hahaha, yeah! I figure if I am going to chop stems, now is the time. I am just not clear as to how much I should thin the forest.
Your stems seem a lot farther apart than mine.

I tried on the two that are 1 week into flower.
I left the fans near the bottom, because I think they soak up light. (I probably missed a few because I am short on time.)

Ok but your stems seem a LOT farther apart than mine here!
So how did you pick those particular stems to maintain (whereas you snipped others)?
KrissiPlants.jpg

Here you seem to have a lot more stems. So I am curious to hear your philosophy for cutting.
NotSoSure.jpg

How do you decide which stems to leave? Just the very biggest? (Or how be da Frosting Queen decidin' da cuts, mon?)

First off, you're missing a Croc,
Hahaha! Shed, I am one of few males with Rett's Syndrome. It is a kind of autism that also has scoliosis, so I actually wear the right one as an orthotic "platform shoe" for the right leg (and it is about just the perfect height--and it is super soft and comfy, and lets my toes breathe).

(Normally with Rett's you die young, so I am very blessed!)
and secondly that looks like a pretty flat canopy to me.
Thanks! On these autos, when I am topping, the side branches shoot out. I just need to know how many of the secondary stems to take/leave. Meaning, I need to know how far apart to make the stems. I am pretty sure I can still take stems in these girls maybe a week into flower (but if I am going to take stems, now would be the time).

How would you think this plant?
How many of these stems would you take, and which ones (and why)?

Hahahahahahahaha!!

Hahaha, how big does the first set of true leaves need to be, before one can fertilize?
Big enough?

I had a shocker of a meeting today!
My contact "friend" gave me a small jar of sativa bud, and we made some agreements.
I gave them a ton of seeds (some super-nice freebies and etc. I won't ever grow)--but then he took back his gift (secretly), right before he left!
(Welcome to Colombia??)

Anyway, He did show me two Colombian breeder websites that have CBD sativas that adapt well to cold weather.
And he said yes, you can grow Colombian sativas in the colder weather, just that they take longer. But they will grow with just a rain fly, no problem. And humidity should not be a problem.
Nice!
:)

I haven't grown autos in years and did LST in them when I did them, so I'm probably not the best person to ask.

On photos I take anything weak and stuff that won't reach the canopy.

But my trimming style is to eliminate larf because I hate to trim it. I can't say if it actually increases harvest weight.

Standard operating procedure is to start feeding when the second set of true leaves are in.

Ahh, ok. Thanks!
:thanks:

Yeah, I was just thinking I need to sit with the plant for a minute, and look, listen, and feel.
(There are maybe 3 stem candidates for elimination. I can just take my time with it, and see how it feels.)

Yeah.
The plant only has so much energy, and it just makes sense to put more energy into the stuff near the top (not the bottom).

Ok, great! Thanks!

There! That's better!
I just took anything that looked like it was not going to stay up with the canopy.
Looks much better now!
Thanks to everyone for your help!
