Cola Monster's Perpetual Solo Cup Grow Feat: ViparSpectra's P2000's x 2

Hi Cola Monster. They really do love that light. I'm still trying to figure out how you accomplish what you do. So you have them in solo cups in which is a medium for nutes via a form of hydro, am I correct? Those goodies that hold the cups up, is that wood? Do you water from the top or bottom?

About to watch your video - its cool eh? Super quick to fo once you’ve done a couple.

cutting a 4" hole in the floor to bring in fresh air from underneath the house instead of the warm air it pulls in from outside the room currently.
Wow that’s cool, natural thermodynamic withcraft!
If anyone has any tricks up their sleeves to help keep my room cooler during the hot days without using my A/C
Only thing I got as its hot 365 a year here is there’s a wifi controller called Sensibo. Put it the other end of your room and its own temp and humidity controllers, far more accurate that the style used in an AC unit will run with a temp range you set off the app. About $80 so not cheap at all. But I’ve been using them for ywars at home in HK and Thailand just in the living room and bedrooms.

You still use the AC but the electricity savings pay back really quickly.

That white shelf with the “Pot Sockets” is lovely!

Cool video man! Rock on! 😂

Where are these harvest pics of which you speak?

Hey Nick,

Oh you tease 😂

Looking forward to them. I don't really know what to expect from my very first solo cup grow sorta 4 weeks in flower. Never really seen that solo cup action just Shed, obvs and a couple of others. So def looking forward to what you got!

Also - feel your pain. I needed to use ickoud first time in 6 months today. 😅

Good morning Carmen,
The solo cups are filled with 16 ozs. of "Royal Gold's Kings Mix Blend" potting soil that I purchase from my local hydro store then I just top feed the plants when needed which is usually between 4-5 hours apart. It's not really a hydro grow but it feels like one sometimes since I'm basically just wetting the roots a few times a day like a hydro system would but with me doing all the work by hand.;)
And the wood platforms you see in the video are solo cup stands I built to help keep the plants from tipping over once they go into flowering in which I have plastic drip trays under each plant to catch the runoff after watering.

I hope that answered your questions and have a great day Carmen Ray!:Namaste:

Before I post my past harvest photos that I still have to upload I thought I'd welcome my three newest arrivals into this world by @Herbies Seeds which are Mango Mousse...Apple Betty...and Banana Pudding Feminized which are now 2 and 3 days old.;) I dropped 3 seeds and got 3 healthy babies in return.:thumb:

Thanks @Herbies Seeds, I appreciate the gift!:thanks:

:happy-birthday: to the new sprouts!

Evening all! :passitleft:

As promised here are some pre and post harvest shots of the last crop which is now in the final stages of drying. I got around 2-2 1/2 ozs. per plant on average with some plants producing a little more and others a bit less. It's all good to me either way!;)

And here's some shots of the root balls with one of them sliced open to see what's inside which was just compacted roots surrounded by a little leftover soil.

Have a great night my friends and thanks again for all the support. :thanks:

Oh like wow! Wowee!

What the actual, uh. Wow.

That’s just absurd 😂

All of it. Those trunks, huh. Root balls.

Consider my hat doffed.

You put one of those stripped bare trunks in for plant of the month I’m voting for you. Epic.

Thanks for sharing. That has made my morning!

Cheers,

Nick

Congrats on the harvests and the hauls! And thanks for the root pics. As I expected from mine, the inside is where the dirt is and most of the roots are on the outside 1/8".
That's pretty much what I saw, a thick wall of dense roots surrounding the leftover soil within. Mystery solved!:cheesygrinsmiley:

Morning mates! :passitleft:

Just thought I'd throw up a few hump day photos from the garden and show you what I'm working on today which is, or should I say was, making a branch spreading jig to help open up the center of my Gorilla Bomb Feminized plant so the light can penetrate deeper inside the canopy.:thumb:

Hope everyone is having a great day and thanks again for visiting my journal, it is much appreciated as always.:thanks:
