Clown420 Small Grow, LED's, Unknown strain
Welcome to my grow journal, I have converted an old 220Lt fish tank to my grow space.
I'll post all the photos up as i go. You'll fine some have writting on them i have done this to keep track.
First of all this started as a CFL grow which i was not happy about the results not being so good due to lack of knowledge and patience, so I failed with my frist grow at about a month in. I wont go into details.
The current setup has two laptop exhaust fans on the top of the tank to cycle air.
the LED are 2 x 54 watt leds from ebay. nothing special i paid like 45 bucks for. I wired up the lights myself which run off a timer. The fans are all usb power and run on timers are well.
I have wrapped some cheap sun reflection sheet on it, not sure how well that works.
I'll be added a carbon filter and inline fan to it soon to help with any smell during flowering.
This was done on the cheap and i think thus far i have spent about $100 on setup. and about $50 on pots and accessories, $100 on nutrients. I'll go on about these later as i really needed this to save my plants.
I used a Coco perlite mix about 75 Coco and rest perlite.
Now for some details on the grow.
Second time around I decided to give it a good crack and do some research.
I germinated the seeds in tissue paper, some i cracked and some i split open and others i left.
I had about 10 all up.
all of the cracked ones failed and so did most of the split ones.
some died when entering the veg stage. but there were two top contenders and they just took off. They had pretty large starting roots when i placed them in the rock wool and just went on from there. once up the grow big fat leafs and one of during grow failed to grow a stem on one of the nodes (is is the plant i have named plant B). This plan i decide to train due to this problem and i train it down on that side.
The other (plan A) was fine and i topped onced it had started to grow out its fourth node.
The strain is unknown, got them from a mate who's plants he just left out in the open and didn't do much with them as he was not that interested in them this year around.
So the nutrient are as follow, I did 2ltr with 8ml of Veh Growth Technology and 5ml of Growth Technology.
Growth Technology is the name of the nutrients.
I had to buy some Cal mag which had some trace elements as well, used 1.2ml in 600ml water as about day 20 -25 after i topped i noticed some deficiencies. which have come good now. Its called Fairform CMX, 4-0-0.
