First Time Grow & First Journal: 3 Unknown Same Strain LED Grow

Same, it’s getting very expensive. Lol!
I get mine from Eldorado Springs at about $8 for a 5gallon jug. They drink 5g every other day, and another 10g each week for feed. SMH.

I put gutter's and down spouts on side of my 100ft.barn with food grade barrels. Each barrel hold's a half hog, so there huge. Free clean water. At least until it freezes, than I load up 300 gallons of water at the free artisan well. Unloading it during a blizzard really sucks.

My jugs are $5 for 5 gallons if i ordered. But I have a mountain spring on tap about 15 miles away. Guess where I'll be driving later this evening? Yep. to fill up 6 five gallon jugs lol

Great read PH, I see dollar signs in your future. $$$

I cracked up thinking about a guy holding his wife's closet hostage.

You definitely got the "grow bug" and that's good, in your defense you could mention to your wife it's better than going out and drinking. :thumb:

Too funny having to give the closets back. Once my wife got me in the basement she’s never let me out lol. I moved a 2by 2 tent upstairs temporarily once for a day and almost got me divorced. In her defence I am absolutely out of control without her lmao. About the filter if you r getting filters and things you may want to think about a Ro unit for pretty cheap and when it comes to mixing nutrient starting at 0 ec is nice. It may or may not be for you now but later in life maybe?? Did you get your wood delivered??
Wood did arrive. Under a tarp right now. Rainy day today. I don't plan on running any filters as smells isn't a problem for me at all luckily.

Lol yea now remember not only did she want me having no part of growing to stop cursing in front of the plants....You'll upset them. I just think it'll be easier building nice accessible boxes that I can fix a few plants in..I want to keep a rotation going and quickly build a strain cabinet for myself. I've never been a drinker really luckily. Pot was and is my best friend.

Shit I wish it would rain here. I have not caught a day off work in months Lmao
I've been getting water from the same spring for over 30 years. I've never thought about having to use so much water prior to growing. Now I'm going there all the time. When I'm there I see people all the time filling tons of jugs open. I don't speak out loud but to myself I'm like yep he's a grower ....maybe him to. No not him. the other guy 100% lol

Just tell her “it’s only a plant, how expensive can it get.” Lol!

Lol! I wonder if there are any close to me. It’d save me a ton!

You'd be surprised. I actually have 3 different springs within 30 minutes of my house. 2 I won't use no matter how dry things are. Im not fond of the mountains they're coming from and you can taste a major difference in the water. I was told years ago the spring I use is actually from up in Canada somewhere and runs all the way down to Pennsylvania.

Nice! We had really good ones back in Texas, and I know they have them here. Probably just a 30 minute trip to the mountains. I’ll try googling it.

The local grocery store (45 miles away) sell RO water for .39 cents a refill.
When I'm lazy, I refill 30 gallons there, because it's closer than the artisan spring.
Maybe that's something you could check.

Also I c you r trying your hand at cloning. If in the future you decide to keep it going I recommend building yourself a little or a large(up to you)cloner for cheap. They r very reliable. May or may not b for you but something else for you to think about Lmao

Hey KCCO, what's that set up you have and where did you get it.

Hey PH, you run a fun thread, just saying.

If you do those trolleys, I’d recommend adding these. If not the bottom doesn’t really dry out correctly. I drilled extra holes for better drainage.

They sit on top perfectly, almost like they were meant to go together.

What a nice set up. A real tight ship you have going there. :thumb:

All you guys and your jugs lol. I started with jugs as well. My water comes from a well and is 900 ppm. Completely unusable for growing. My Ro system made it possible without leaving my house. If you guys r serious in the future pick up a cheap 2 or 3 stage RO system when funds r available. Save your back and have water on tap. Also having a 0 ppm water is what you want to start with. Just something to think about when you r carrying jugs around. I am pretty sure that’s what fucked my back I tripped on a cat and flopped down 8 steps ass over teakettle carrying my jugs into my basement.

My tap water has so much iron in it, it tastes like a rusty pipe.
I won't even drink it and don't give it to the cat, bird or dog.
That's why I asked, what is cheap?
Have a safe day at work.
