Sorry for hijacking your journal @HugePeckerhead but water is a very interesting subject in growing circles lol. Quick reply. My water was so bad I would not drink it as well. My two male cats use to get crystals in there bladders from all the minerals in my water. Cost me lots in vet bills and since I switched to RO they never had a problem since. With a 5 stage system my water is now better then most. My excess minerals in my water were iron and calcium. Now it’s stripped clean. If you can get a ppm reading that would be a good start

You could never hijack my post. Everything is helpful ya know. Anyways, I am installing a filter but never got to it yet. One project at a time for me. Will a cheap version 5 stage work or do I get what I pay for? I found one for like 89.99 usd. And see others like $200 usd.

If you’re water is not bad you could probably get away with a 2 or 3 stage. If it’s horrible like mine you need a little more Honestly I bought mine around 10 years ago. There is probably better for cheaper now. R you on a well or city water?? Do you know what your ppm is out of your tap??Knowing your ppm tells you in a nut shell how bad or good your water is. I have to assume your water is more then 400 ppm if you r outsourcing water plz correct if I am wrong. I just put out there because knowing exactly what your feeding your plants is the way to go. Most but not all growers will end up running RO as they progress. You have lots to think about now with laying out your spaces and environment,electrical Nail that shit down first the water is something to think about as you go. I just thought I would mention it to you and @John Wick because carrying jugs sucks and ultimately cuts into the time you could be spending with your ladies. More quality time is always nice. Enough babbling I’m stoned Lmao. Back to the ?? What’s your ppm from your tap in your house??

I don't know what it is from my faucet. I've been adding what I need as I need it. I just know it tastes like shit. It's a line from a city even though I'm on the outskirts of the city. Since I don't and won't drink it my plants won't either. That's why I go out of my way for them. And really I go there anyways for my drinking water. Eventually I'll add the filters here I just haven't gotten to it yet since I've been trying to get ready for the grow move. When I first started this journal back in July I was just starting up inside growing so I started with what I needed most and worked my way down the list. I'm getting there as it's slowly coming together.

That’s all good just keep doing what you r doing planing lol. Chances r your city water should be less then 400 ppm anyways. R0 water is for when you r trying to up your game by running very refined nutrient mix’s or have absolute shit water. I fall under both lol.

Id rather piss in a bucket and drink it before I drink our tap water....it's that bad. when I get to the ppm part of buying things ill let you know what it came back as. Still in all even if it did fall in an ok level id still use a filter system. JUst haven't gotten there yet.

Lmao that sounds like shit water man. I can see you take your water seriously. Maybe after you r done hemorrhaging money as your just scratching the surface. The amount I have spent on my grows is disgusting buttttt my equipment has paid for itself 1000 times over;)

My better half was like jeez you could have bought a pound or two with everything I've bought in the last 2 months. But she understands it.
 
Fighting humidity really bad last 2 days and according to weather for a few more days. Still hitting upper 60% with air conditioner and dehumidifier running. Pennsylvania weather is madness. Anyway, the ladies are coming along nicely. Whatever I'm doing I am dialed in on them. Pics taken right as my lights were coming on. Big momma is frosting up like crazy. I check her daily for any hermie signs as well as little sister. Little sister has finally stopped her stretch is is beginning to flower nicely. Today I am 23 days into 12\12.

I had to tie a few branches up. Total of 3 so far. They didn't need it yet but I'm a couple weeks I know they will so I rather get them tied now before I'm packing on buds.
 
@Emilya quick question for you....or anyone that can answer this for me. My final week prior to harvest I will be splitting the stem. To really bring on flowering have you ever done anything during flowering to really kick it into gear. I was thinking colder then usual water or even kicking the light off for an hour half way through my light cycle. Like 10 on 1 off 1 on then 12 off?
