re: BPN Closet Scrog Grow
Alright shit i got updates.
Im a little depressed today because my scrog plants look very sad, droppy kind of. They are green as ever but they haven't grown much in the past 2 or 3 days. almost like there shocked or something.
These are my Trouble Shooting Guesses
-Under Watering
-Root Bound
-Lack Of Light
Im using a 400w MH and 400w HPS w/ winged reflectors and 25w CFL with clamp on reflector in a 2'x5' Closet
after i watered them and pruned them for about 30mintues they seemed to be perking up a little, i also gave them all a splash of BPN Crazy Growth, we had a little left in the reservoir so i split it up between them.
I think they are just needing more water, was just giving them 1/4 gal each a day, but i think i need to water them twice a day with 1/2gal each time/plant.
do you think that is to much? im using 10'' Pots id have to say they 3 gal. Give or take 1/2 gal.
The stems seemed like weak and some of the tops were like flopped over you can see it in some of the pics.
Also another thing i am worried about is i see tons of little white hairs popping up everywhere on nodes on would be bud sites. but we still have the lighting at 18/6. This was happening before when they were younger and it kinda just went away. Now its coming back. Is it just early signs of sex? it confuses me a little bit.
PICS
VEG TENT
Ok these things are taking right off im excited! One minor problem i see a few tiny little flies or something hovering around the lights. I have some organic pesticide stuff that you dilute with water. Im going to remove the plants. Using Rubbing alcohol solution with water to disinfect the whole tent. Ill spray the plants down with the pesticide, then put everything back in. I think it may have been brought in by the dog. i don't notice it on the plants at all i only saw a few flies and they were near the bulbs.
Also on these plants i can also kinda of see white hairs where the would be bud sites are already! i hope this is just a strain thing but i didnt notice it on the plants i grew from seed. I hope its not because i took clones so late into the mothers life that it was like trying to sex or something i dunno its just confusing.
Other than that they are growing very fast, way faster than the last clones. They look really healthy.
I mixed up a batch of
BPN Elite seedling mixture 2.5ml x 3gal = 7.5 of
GROW,MICRO,BLOOM with a dash of superthrive in 3gal of water. Ph'd at 6.0. That sports water cooler with spout is the balls there like 21 bucks at wally world but its worth it plus its insullated keeps your shit cold for a while throw some ice cubes in it even better. Im almost temped to make a DWC bucket with one of them its already got a built in drain, hahaha.
I only gave it to 2 of the plants to see how they respond to it. All the others got water.
Im going to attempt to lst a few of these and top a few. They have been in veg for like 16 days
is that to early to start topping? i know its not to early for LST!
Another thing that had me depressed was i didnt get around to putting my SLH seed and my CHEMDAWG seed in a rapid rooter and they had already pushed off the shell and had 2 tiny leaves. They had been germinating for a solid 3 days. They had taproots on Monday i should have just did it then im an idiot. I Still put them in rapid rooters soaked em in ph water first them stuck them in the veg tent. Ill spray them lightly day to day and see what happens i hope i didn't fuck em up but lesson learned if i did, plus i still have 3 more bomb seeds!
Also i want to Thank the member DigitalGrow. He is new addition to our grow family
JD LIGHTING for supplying a brand new
1000Watt Electronic Ballast
JD Lightings' high performing electronic ballasts are a technological revolution that creates energy efficiency and produces more lumen output than magnetic ballasts. This grow light system works with both Metal Halide (MH) and High Pressure Sodium (HPS) Lamps . They are silent, lightweight, extremely efficient - 99.9% power factor, soft starting, increases lamp life and reduces lumen depreciation. They eliminate the need for conversion lamps or multiple light systems. MH lamps are better suited for seedlings and vegetation stages, while HPS lamps promotes fruiting and flowering.
