Hello fellow 420 aficionados!!! This will be my first grow journal and I look forward to sharing the experience with everyone. I've learned a lot from this community and have been growing for the last 2 years with a somewhat similar setup to what is running today. Thanks for stopping by, let's kick this pig!!
Setup
Sunlight Supply LEC630 with 3100k lamps
Gorilla Grow Tent 9x5 with 1ft extension (8 ft ceiling height)
Lightrail 4.0 - moving light 24", 33 second pause on both ends, 41 second traverse.
6 inch inline variable speed duct fans - intake and exhaust
6 x 24 inch Phresh carbon filter
second 6 inch inline variable speed duct fan to offset AC unit
7 gallon fabric pots with handles
Super Soil is a Subcool base +20% amendments, some volcanic ash and Liquid Karma added
RO water filter measures in teens PPM down from close to 400 PPM at tap
Tent is in my garage with ducting running from the house into the tent. I have an intake filter on the 6 inch line starting inside the house.
Tent temps run 80-84, humidity is a little low around 40%.
No CO2 enhancements,
Seeds
First time growing strains from MSNL - my experience with ordering and shipping was A+++! I have run seeds from Herbies on my previous grows with great results.
Girl Scout Cookies x 5 - I know the strain/source is a bit controversial - GSC in seed form from overseas, is it real? I'm going to give it a try to see what we get. No experience with this strain.
Green Crack x 4 - I love happy, energetic, sativas...I'm hoping this one doesn't disappoint. Also, no experience with this strain.
Freebies - Great White Shark x 1 and Lemon Skunk x 1
You're joining the mission approximately a week before switch to flower. We've had a fairly uneventful ride thus far. I did add an AC to the tent which is new for me and ran temps a bit low for about a week during which there was a notable slowing in growth. Other than that, very happy girls.
Seeds were placed in RO water for 12 hours then transferred to wet paper towels inside Ziploc bags. 5/5 on Girl Scouts, 4/5 on Green Crack, 2/2 on Freebies.
Planted in Solo cups with Roots Organic 707 soil. Placed under 160 watts fluorescent shop lights in propagation tray with humidity dome.
Day 5 switched on one of the LEC630 bulbs, seedlings now under 315LEC 3100K
Light waterings with seaweed extract.
Day 11 added second bulb, now full 630 watts of LEC lumination!
Adding some foliar feedings with Heavy16 Foliar Feed - very light 1/4 strength building to 1/2 strength.
Day 19 transferred to 1 gallon plastic pots filled with Super Soil.
Begin tea brewing - veg = worm casting, high N bat guano, seabird guano, kelp meal, 4 gallons H2O, 4 TBS molasses, 20 ml Liquid Karma. Wrapped in cheese clothe and brewed for 24-36 hours. Feed at 1/2 strength.
Day 27 topped everyone
Day 33 super cropped GC and GWS, low stress training on GSC
Day 39 transplanted to 7 gallon fabric pots (permanent homes)
Day 43 second topping on GC, more aggressive LST
Day 47 installed light rail
Day 51 Which is where we are joining our girls after having their first defoliation - just lower branches that were not finding light.
That's probably not everything but at least you have an idea of how we got here. Now the real fun begins!!
