Cherries DubeLee In A S.I.P. - An LOS Grow

There ya go bro. Under the black is water that gets in through a pipe through the hole in bottom right. The two 3 inch squares are the soil wicks. It's just a place that's always in some water feeding it to the plant. There's a 1 inch air space between the soil and the water determined by a 3/8 inch hole in one side to let water out at one inch below the soil.
Just fill it with soil, cover it, and feed through the pipe til it comes out the 3/8 hole. This one is called Earth Box if you want to look it up.

Hmmmm . Brings a few ideas . Ty sir. Got figure out what I want here.

You let me down.

Your reply was meant to be, oh yeah. Life goes on.

Lollllll

And Mr O. Your toenails are on fleek. Nothing more revolting than a man with unkept toenails.
Shoot! Missed that one  Well I do keep my nails.

Keep watching this one. This SIP grow is making a superplant out of it. Something's going on that my regular soil doesn't compare to. My soil in that pot makes stronger looking shoots so far. This is the trial run. Stay tuned. Anything can happen!

TIME TO LAY BRANCHES DOWN UPDATE OH MY!

Hi all, good gardening to you today! I had to start getting this one laid down and begun to weave before the branches got too woody. I broke the first one! Taped it up and it may be ok. we'll see, The rest I g=had to be super careful with as they were fat and didn't want to bend. I used some skewers to help, thankfully they did! So I leaned them over and weaved the skewers over them.

These branches are way thick! This is a lower one.

It just ain't a scrog before they grow from their secondary nodes while laying down! And there you have it.

The SIPs create thicker stems, almost like hydro. Unfortunately, they're more hollow and break easily, also like hydro. Great idea to use the bamboo with the net, I'll steal that from you in the future. She's really moving now and looking fantastic, great job!

Highya SO,

LKABudMan said everything I was going to say! Yeah, Love that idea with the skewers! Yankee Inginuity! I think she'll fill the scrog (as big as you want). She's doing very well in your care! Happy Smokin'

The top pic is a great one for showing how the scrog works. I had no clue before I saw that pic.... hmmm, maybe one day :)

Seems like training might have to start a lot earlier for these SIP grows!
I'd say so from this one. They're different, that's for sure! I haven't had to skewer them before! My regular training would have been perfect! I can see these not needing help holding up giant colas!

Thanks BudMan! So that's a hydro thing too huh? Man I'm liking it!

Now I have to lock my head down and be patient. A nice full net. A nice full net. A nice full net.

Hi Carmen, I see "scrogs" that just aren't what I call a scrog. The beauty of them is that we're relying on all their tertiary nodes for colas. If they aren't laying down along the net, it's just a plant with a net for stability for colas. Nice but not a scrog.

POLLEN AND CLONE UPDATE

Hi folks, happy Groundhog Day! Only 6 more weeks of blissful wishing for warm weather! :yahoo: . Today I found roots on one of the subjects having a swim. It's been 12 days. This bunch is having a harder time making roots than some. This one was the best one, some had none, others had a few. Different plants seem to have different ways of taking to cloning or not. I suspect my cloning solution may have been old at ~2 years.
And the male Cherries DubeeLee is cooking with gas! Not enough light for the whole plant but the lit parts are making nice pods. He's over 3 feet!
All the skewering I did yesterday to lay them down was torn up by her great strength and will to grow straight up! I'll try again when there's more plant to work with. Maybe tomorrow. This may be a scrog. It may not if I can't bend em over.

giant colas! Heck Yea . those are some seriously thick stems , i bet they don't want to bent for you worth a hoot ! So you are wanting to scrog the male and why ?
No not the male Smokes, just the lady under the net. I'm having trouble keeping her from pushing through my hold down devices. She's strong!

We are in for some interesting things happening here methinks.

Nice roots on that clone, and if one cutting will do it the others either will or won't. Who knows!

:meditate:
I think so Shed. I'm glad to have one make it. My BIL wanted 4, then none, now maybe some, so If more make it good but they're likely going to the bin. :Rasta:I'm happy to have made a warmer into it this run!
