My concern with coco is the pot size. You like to stick to smaller pots cause the coco allows for the roots to breath very well... but the star pupil gets mad about root space fast
I’ve run coco in 10 gallon Geo pots so no biggie.

I would love to see a star pupil in 10 gallons of coco.. you’ll get nugs as dense as diamonds

I will be growing it in a 10gallon pot with our soil. I hope it does good. I am really excited about growing it out. Been wanting some purple bud. Also excited to try the cookies n Chem. I have some Gorilla Cookies to try some time which is probably closer to Grandpa Tolkins GG#4 which I am Really excited about as well.

Yeah I hope you get a nice vigorous girl in your pack. No reason to think you won’t. Those purple buds are definitely something special.
The cookies n chem is super heady and strong.. my buddies go ape shit for it. It’s one of those strains that can really freak you out if you’re not used to smoking strong weed.

I already know you’ll love it. I hope it grows out identical to my girl.. but if it doesn’t there’s a ton of great lineage there. Starfighter and I’m pretty sure Girl Scout Cookies Thin Mints.

Alright here comes another update on the sour Bubba scrog.
Today is day 23. She seems to be done stretching, and 85% of her branches didn’t make it into the second screen.. so I decided to move the second net down about 5”. Once I did that, I began the task of super cropping and tying down every single branch. I’ve got pictures of the whole process, sorry in advance for the pink.
Here you see very few of the branches actually passed the second scrog net.
This next picture, the net is down 5” where it will be left, and the whole front of the plant has been bent and tied.
These next two pictures are the completed training. Everything that’s quite tall has been supercropped and tied in place.
I’ll tell you, these sour bubba branches were a PITA to bend. They’re already very woody. Anyhow, I believe 90% of the plant training is done. Now it’s just a matter of slowly defoliating through flower and making sure the branches stay where they are. Thanks for checkin it out

Looks pretty good for now, hopefully they stay down.

They should stay down, I’ve tied them down well with butchers twine. I just left each with a bit of slack in case they grow in girth... it was a fucking chore

Im sure it will Pdub, I haven’t seen much variation in s1s.
flower update. The It’s it Punch is looking stellar. The buds feel rock solid. Im very happy with Star Pupil as well.. for day 33 she’s putting on weight fast.
Im down to spraying spinosad once every 3 days. I don’t see any more damage other than what was already there, so it’s clearly working.
i haven’t shown you guys the terple in a while.. I’ve been trying to keep it under control in a 2x2 closet with another large plant and 4 bonsai moms..I’ll dig ‘er out tomorrow.

She’s looking really nice, everything has turned back up toward the light. She hasn’t stretched out of her restraints either, so we’re looking at her final structure here. Also you can see the frost is starting up. The breeder recommends 10-12 weeks on this girl. Last time I took her down at day 68 I believe, so almost 10 weeks. I’m gonna try and let this clone get closer to 12. We’ll see how the trichomes look near the end though. She’s starting to frost up a bit

I need to try some Bubba , I think I got 3 free Bubba Kush so I will have to run them some time soon. My next line up will be Killer A5 Haze , I got 5 more seeds Friday so they have come in Chef so now I am ready for round 2 in the 8x8 just got to figure out another strain with the same flower time. I was thinking of running my Malawi x Panama along with it I think they are close to the same. I have to dry in my growing room so I have to harvest in the room they were grown in so they will all come down at the same time. At least till I can make some more room to build a drying area

Thing is, my last sour Bub wasn’t structurally sound enough to go the full term. She looked fantastic and was flopping over, so I took her down. This plant should have absolutely no problems with structural integrity, so that’s part of the reason I’m thinking to let her go the full distance. Also, she’ll be my second organic harvest ever... I’m not trying to cut myself short after the journey that’s brought me to this plant’s harvest.
Yeah all those Malawi Crosses sound insane. The KA5H is a Malawi cross itself. I would love to smoke some of that, it’s quite a famous strain among us boutique-grade home growers. Regarding drying, just get a fridge for your basement and/or room with 5x5 tent. If you get the bigger paper bags, you can wet trim your plants and put 60g wet in each bag. You can stack up those bags in the fridge and all the buds will be dry enough to jar in 2 weeks.. also each bag will yield around a half oz, so you can kind of estimate your yield.

Here’s a nugget of the cookies n chem I just harvested. after 2 weeks of fridge time in paper bags, it’s exactly 62% rH in jar.
