CD’s First Grow

Well the anomaly looks like it’s starting to open up. Still giving it more time. I think it’s probably a male but I’m still not 100% nowhere else on the plant is showing anything. Here’s a picture of it today.

It’s the little stem that it’s protruding off that’s throwing me for a loop. Calyx sits right in the armpit as far as I am aware,

Oh for sure brother!! I have some new beans on the way. The list is as follows;

Critical Cheese Feminised Seeds- by Dinafem

Ayahuasca Purple Feminised Seeds- by Barney’s Farm

Critical Orange Punch Feminised Seeds- by Dutch Passion

Kali's White Shadow Feminised Seeds- by Dr Krippling seeds

Big Kush Feminised Seeds- By Dinafem

Peyote Critical Feminised Seeds Limited Edition- By Barney’s Farm

G13 Haze Feminised- by Barney’s Farm

Super Kush Feminised- Phoenix Seeds

Fucking Incredible Feminized- MJ Seeds

White Widow Femebized- MJ Seeds

I think I’m gonna label them with numbers and roll dice to choose which to grow! What do you think?

For sure it will be!
I figure I’ll give a slight picture update on plant 2 (quad-lined) just to see what your thoughts are.
That’s absolutely perfect!

I use binder clips and string. It’s been working very conveniently for me. Also pipe cleaners from the dollar store or anywhere really, also works great.

I have a bunch of pipe cleaners in the art cabinet. The joys to having kids! What I’m using right now are ties from a chain link fence. I used wire to attach the fence in the backyard but the kit came with these plastic coated ties with a hook on 1 end. Seems to be working well so far.

Well since I believe these to be males... what do you think, should I put em on 12/12 flower and force sex to make sure since I have new seeds on the way? Or just wait it out until I have the structure I want and hope for the best?

ive Done some thinking on this. This being your first grow. I would absolutely say, flip to flower. If it’s a girl, then you get flowers and end up killing the plant. If it’s a male, and you would end up killing it anyways without getting a harvest. Take the good from the bad, I think that’s the best decision. But ultimately it’s up to you my friend! :thumb:

Yeah brother for sure, I figure that’s the best option. So I will be going 24hours darkness before 12/12. I read that that is something you should do, something about hormone production gets kicked into high gear that way before going to 12/12. Is that something you do? I really like the way the plants responded to the topping and training. I appreciate the advice you’ve given my @Backlipslide. Hope you stick around for the next grow aswell brother.

My last harvest I left my plants under about 36 hours darkness before flip. I didn’t notice anything spectacular, besides it seemed like it took longer to actually flip to flower then if I didn’t leave under darkness for an x amount of time. Lots of people do it, lots don't, I have seen no real hard scientific evidence that it helps or it doesn’t help. So I just stick without doing it. Just my opinion though, not to say you can’t do it, just giving you my opinion. :thumb:

and no problem buddy! I love to help, and lead the way for many growers just like you. It’s my privilege to help you along! I also hope to see your next grow as well!
