Carmen's Winter Autos With ViparSpectra XS1500 Pro!

I think it is Myrcene. What do you think? .... wanna do some Myrcene together? 👽
I tried some Casey Jones that’s being trimmed downstairs last night. I looked it up after a little smoke and giggled remembering you talking about the “rollercoaster” effect when I read the below on “Amusement Parks” first up the strain! Can’t link to that one but a picture - is this what you’re after? 😅 The more reputable Leafly website has:

Limonene (citrus)
Citrus-scented terpene commonly believed to provide anxiety and stress relief.

Caryophyllene (pepper)

Pinene (pine)
Rollercoasters are often at amusement parks 🤷🏽

The bud its self is very nice on the eye. Rusty reds in about 30% of them and for greenhouse really dense.

Thank you Valerie, and thank you for your patience during an unexpected delay. It's all happening in a couple of weeks. I can't wait!

Yes! I'm really starting to get quite excited now. It's been a long wait Otter.

The good thing is I've been able to learn from other people's grows using the XS 1500 PRO and I have a good idea where to set the lights when I start the seedlings. I will begin at 25 % at 24 Inches / 60 cm and take it from there. Both @ChefDGreen and @Tokin Roll suggested this as a starting point.

Homework is mandatory and you've done yours well Carm! That sounds like a good place to start!
Oooooh Skywalker's been giving us a knockout punch lately! She's a good one!

Congrats on the new seeds! You grew Skywalker OG before, right? I think @Virgin Ground loves it, too.

I did and I loved it. I got a tiny harvest off it because the roots were eaten by grubs and I broke the plant, but enough for me to want more. I hope I love it still. I want to do a Sativa next but it has to be auto. Once I've refilled the stash jars I want to grow the Wedding Cake and Bruce Banner again. By the way, the Lavender Best is now fabulous. It has cured very nicely and does indeed taste the way I'd imagine lavender to taste. It's my early evening smoke before I graduate to the heavy indicas for sleep. Another find has been the Red Russian XXL. It knocks me out, so I want to grow more of this too.

I bought soil yesterday! Woot woot!!! Except not lol!

I am disappointed in the new one from reading about it. I'm p'd off actually. The same shop that stuffs me around every time sold me soil that is quite wrong for new plants. I keep going back because they are conveniently located and their prices are pretty good.

I bought one 30 L bag of the usual Orgasoilux (which I like to use), and one 30 L bag of a new Freedom Farms soil called Antifragile. It's the first time I've seen it and it is a full LOS, like the Dirty Hands Inc Orgasoilux. So I thought I was onto a good thing. However the warning list is as long as the list of ingredients it would seem!

My goal became to compare apples with apples and to train both plants in similar fashion so that we have as few variables as poss. Two Skywalker OG Autos each in a 20 L cloth bag on swicks, both under the ViparSpectra XS1500 PRO lights, both with living soil but different brands. But, I watched a video about a soil analysis of the Antifragile and it is out of whack by the sounds of things.

I'm taking it back.

This is it

Reminds me of a restaurant joke my cockney FIL used to tell:

"The food here is awful!"

"Yeah, and such small portions."
LOL! It feels like there's a message in that 🤔

Wet Seeds: 30/05/23
I have a very good success rate sprouting seeds in paper towel. I make it quite wet then gently press out the running water, until it is soggy but not dripping. I sprinkle on some mycorrhizae as seen in the first pic, to help the rooting along.

Next I fold the paper towels in half again and place them in CD cases, so that I can train the roots using gravity.

I have hung the CD cases vertically against the wall about 20 cm (8 inches) away from my oil heater which is on a low heat holding ambient temp in room.

I'm thinking I will have to keep a check on the paper towel so that the heater doesn't dry it up. I'll spray with water if necessary.

With this method of sprouting, I hope to produce lovely long tap roots that point downwards :)
