congrats on the Candyland

Thanks BAR. :high-five: She's different, in a nice way. Fresh smelling citrus has replaced the sinister dankness that she had while growing. Wish I could get another bean of her, but the line has been lost from what I've read.

Long overdue update. I'm not used to having such small girls, but they are all doing well. I'm back to my normal feeding, so we'll see what the numbers look like at the end.

She's got a weird genetic thing going on, just like her mom. She grows strong, and then stops and doesn't stretch. It's cool, I like weirdos - she's got something unique. The smell is incredible. This one is growing like the last one, but she looks like she'll get fatter. Hoping for that bubble calyx look.

I have 6 small plant in there, I can't believe it. None are tall, I think this girl is around 26". She's got a small circle of tops. Blueberry smells are starting to emerge, and the terps are deeper than the last run.

She stretched more than the others, but she was small going in. Nice buds so far. More pine smell than last time.

She's just starting to flower. Rare to see a plant push a branch over it's top. :)

She's a nice bush. Not very tall, but she's got some tight nodes. I pinched the leading leafs off for a period in Veg to get her to tighten up. She was moderately defoled last week, and is still bushy. I'll hit her once more in late flower.

Another nice little bush. I gave her the same treatment as the BD. She should fill in nicely. She was defoled a few days ago. I'm going to feed her deep, and see how she likes it.

I'll try to take them out and get better photos next time! Peace and love yall. :circle-of-love:

Stunning CS! :Love:Big BD, CL3, and Big ASD:Love: Love your garden.

Hey Bro, do you have all those plants running in the one 5x5 tent? I was thinking of upgrading from 3x3 to 5x5 next year. I never thought it was that big a difference but sq footage wise its almost 3 times as much.

Thanks AS! They look similar to your girls in some respect, as we both have some nice bushes with tighter nodes this round ....and clones. It's a 4x4  Silver Ed, Hydrohut, slightly oversized at 55"x55" with an adjustable anti-suck cage. I'll have to post the new cage, it's super easy to set up, and costs like 15$. :cheertwo:

So all that in one tent? Nice! I'd luv to see a pic of it. I don't see how the outside leaves on your plants aren't mangled up. Mine are all twisted, upside down, and separated from leaning against the walls :laughtwo:

I'll post up a group shot, and a pic of the cage. I've tried a couple of versions of the cage, and have a new DIY where I can adjust it up and down, or take it in and out, in less than a minute. It will hold a clip on fan, and it helps keep the foliage from getting too battered, but I've been pruning a lot too.
You'd love the 5x5, go for it! Put all your lights in there, and fill it. :) Love to see that. :cheertwo:

That's exactly what I was thinking. Its obvious the one 3x3 isn't enough anymore. The 5x5 would be more then enough. Then I'd only need one fan and filter and can use the 3x3 for harvests. Wife was not happy with me during harvest time this go. I normally do it in a tent but they were both full :sorry: House stank up pretty good.

OK Some small updates and upsets.

Let's start with the bad news. I'm down from around 800w to 688w of power for the oversized 4x4, which is insufficient imo.
Last week, one, then both, of the DS100 lights in the flower tent have malfuctioned, to where only one bank of lights works. One has a working Veg spectrum only, and the other only Bloom. I've taken one of them apart, and swapped in known working drivers to the unworking bank of lights to disclude driver failure, so the only thing left to fail, is an LED within the array. The two banks are mounted on one heatsink, and there are is no bypass function in the circuit, so if one LED fails - so the whole bank goes out. There is also no modularity to the design, where I can plug in a new bank. To be fair, they are just over 2 years old and have had moderate use, but have also been maintained well. My third DS100 light is working, but it has been already repaired once - same issue. I've always been a fan of Advanced, but I'm certainly not liking this situation, and I'm not sure what I'll be doing going forward. Moving on. :)

Better news. If you are looking for an easily adjustable and installable anti-suck cage, take a look.

Four HDX (Home De Pot) Spring clamps at .99 each
Six 3/4'' PVC Tee junctions at .50 each
Two 3/4'' PVC pipes of 10' length at 3.00 each

The six Tee sections were opened 3/8'' with a saw, so you can just snap them on, over the tent pole, and they rest on the clamps that you can place all at the same height. Once the long pieces are cut to size, and inserted into each Tee, friction holds it all in place. The long back piece gets two Tee pieces per tent pole stacked upon each other, to make the back two corners.

IMAG5308.jpg

Just move the clamps up and down to adjust. Once cut to size, it takes about one minute to install, and I've adjusted it with a tent full of ladies. It's sturdy enough to mount clip-on fans etc.

Best news - Here's the current crop. Six girls in there, all are doing well. We had some high RH lately, so I may decide to be proactive and treat as carefully as possible with SNS 244 natural antifungal spray.

(2) Blue dream is on the left, (2) ASD on the right. The tiny girl in the very middle is CL, and the small girl in center front is the Purple T-wreck. Work is slowing up a bit, so hopefully I can get some nice shots soon. Peace and love!

Beautiful Garden CS. Something about a tent full of budding girls just really gets me excited. Sorry to hear about the LEDs. I know how that feels.:thedoubletake:

Thanks for sharing your anti-suck cage. I'm definitely going to do that for my tents. So simple and efficient. So you just put the pvc pipes around the existing polls that hold up the tent? Very nice! Can turn that into a scrog net too if that's your thing. Love it!

Thanks AS! The girls are all at that stage, I'm totally creeping on them. Yeah, you got it right. My old cage was a PITA to install as I had to lift the whole tent pole to separate it, and then slide the Tee up over the pole, and then down in place. For the new cage, it's so easy. In a head full of Panama...I was like, why am I being stupid? I just cutout the side, spread them a tiny bit and snap them over the pole where I want them. No more lifting the pole, sliding it on etc.
Install is now so easy - set the clamps, snap on the Tees, and then insert the three poles. Like 30 seconds if the tent is empty. :cheertwo:

:laughtwo: Love it! I'm just itchin for Panama to finish and it isn't even in flower  Gonna be a long wait.

I'm a firm believer of the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) principle. And this anti suck cage is all that!

The cage is very anti-stupid and falls within the auspices of KISS  :high-five:

You'll be happy you waited on Panama, but looking back, I think I pulled a bit later than I needed to. She had some good amber, but I don't think she needs much of it. Even with the amber, there was no real hangover, she just trailed away. I have one bean left, and I'm going to cross to a Master Kush or Chrystal just for fun. :cheertwo:

I know I owe some smoke reports, but let me say that the MKush I grew was so loved by all that got to try her, that she won't ever be forgotten by those that did. A good smoker friend from Cali was blazed all Memorial Day, from one hit from a pipe. We laughed and ate all day, perfect strain for that - no lethargy or paranoia for being so strong. The taste and aroma are also superb. Gotta give it to those dildos that called it Money Maker, it certainly was a smash hit. Among the very best I've grown/smoked without any doubt.

Update

Been a little bit since the last update. Everything is going well. I had a little timer movement after a power outage, and dropped to 11.5 hours of ON time for them when I fixed it. Light comes on 15min later, and shuts off 15min earlier. I'm also having high humidity, but I'm thinking it will pass soon, and the plants aren't in late flower yet - so I should be OK with all the fans in there.

Little moppet likes nutes and light. She's just starting to purple on the undersides of her leaves. The smell, which translates to taste when dry, is simply amazing. It's like smoking lemon grape Jolly Ranchers. She's starting to swell.

She's making some big buds for her age. She's very pungent smelling, like plasticy spice. Nice plant, easy so far. She takes nutes well, and drinks a lot.

I'm back to my usual feeding style - using tap water, and feeding every water during peak flower. PPMs are 115 out of the tap, but pH is 9.3 - city water. I add a little Stress Coat+ for the chloramine and the pH Perfect Sensi, brings the pH down to around 6. So far, so good. Peace and love! :peace:&

Nice update Carestaker, girls are looking great.

Good thinking on the net poles, it would be easy to put two scrog nets in a tent that way. ++reps.

Thanks Oiler! :high-five: Great thinking - I didn't even think of 2 nets, but either another set of clamps, or 4 spacers should do just fine. :cheertwo: Maybe I'll do that for my Coco run. When I start back up in late September, I'm hoping to be all LED and might try a Coco/Scrog monocrop to see what I can get out of it gpw. Soil is my home, but vacations are nice too.
