Carestaker's Chemdawg Crosses In Soil & Coco - 2016

I posted a follow up in the NOTY thread if anyone is interested.

We're doing the group thing today, hope that's ok with everyone :)

Big girls have been uppotted to 19L fabric pots. My GroPro's didn't arrive on time, so I just got what I could. These are Sunlight I think, and they hold quite a bit less than the ones I wanted. I have maybe 4.5 gal of media in each.

Media for this run is: 50% FFOF (last run with it!), 30% Royal Gold Basement Mix Coco (high organic charge), 20% perlite, 1TBSP/G of powered Azomite, mycos, powdered humic, and a few pinches/g of Dolomite Lime.

They are really starting to stink up the house haha, wow.

ECSDH Born 2/11/16 Day 38 - she is showing some beautiful color, vigor, smell and habit. She's going to be a tall one, and I'm going to encourage that a little. As she gets closer to the flip, I'll train her to node more often, by pinching out her new leafs, so that her tops will be stacked. She's been tied down for a week or two. More sweet smell so far, with just a hint of chem/skunk.

ChemD x Cookies - Born 2/11/16 Day 38 - she is sooo stinky. She loves a feeding, and doesn't like low RH. She's been tied up, and she likes it.

HSO Bubba's - Born 2/12/16 Day 38 - She's second place in the stink category. She's not super stinky, but the stink itself is pretty distinct and meanancing - rotten skunk meat maybe? I haven't tied her up, as I'm just going to grow her upward from here. She's got the wrinkly leaf thing still going on, but they are starting to flatten out when lit up - so I'm aggressive with the defol.

Devil's SSD - Born 2/20 Day 29 - What an awesome girl she is. Perfect leafs, really reactive to light, and robust hybrid growth habit. She's number three on the stink-o-meter, and it's very chemmy-skunk so far. I just pulled the two top leafs in the picture.

C.C. - Buddah Tahoe OG 2/20 Day 29 - She's catching up to her sister, and she's looking fine. I just pulled the two top leafs in the picture.

From top right, clockwise: ECSDH, ChemDCookies, SSD, BuddhaT, BubbaG.

ECSD: She has some weird phyllotaxy on one of her two most upper nodes. After she became mature, she went to alternating nodes, and then put out a triple node, and then a quad node that's not quite perfect but close.

Peace and pot, best of green to you!

growing very nice, cant wait to see them in bloom...

Picture perfect Care....:circle-of-love:
:thanks: Lady D! :circle-of-love: I'm hoping it's a picture perfect finish too. :) We are soon to see how they do in transition and flower, I'm so excited to have some going, it's been too long. :cheertwo:

Most excellent update Carestaker. Thank you! :thanks:

No, thank you Doc, I'm enjoying sharing them with you. :Namaste:

:welcome: Me too james - it's going to stink to high heavens in here soon enough. :volcano-smiley:

B-E-A-utifull. Most nicely done brother C.S.
I want a poster of that in my grow room.
happy daze.

Happy daze to you too my Dusty friend :high-five: and thanks for the kind words. Lovin your Grimace man! You got me interested in that one. :volcano-smiley: She so hairy lol.

:thumb: Happy Garden! Great looking girs! ECSD and ChemD are spread out and off to a beastly start. Nice CS!

Thanks man. They are getting there. I'm going to torture these a little more than usual. If I put them in at 24" and they double, I'm totally cool with that. :) You know how I like 'em. :MoreNutes:

They're looking great CS. I'm quite keen on the Buddha Tahoe. I think that one might surprise you. I was impressed by the big buddha stuff I ran in my last grow. Great plants, and excellent smoke.

Thanks for the hug D. :circle-of-love: :)

You called that, she's got my attention. She's about 8" tall, and is the stinkiest plant I've ever had in Veg - bar none. It's a sickly sweet dank skunk, weed-for-sure smell and it permeates everything. I thought ChemD-cookies was the bigger stinker, but the tiny Tahoe has taken the title. She's got that less sharp growth habit, where the branches curve and just head for the top, rather than staying out at an angle too. Will be fun to watch her. My version is from CC - so who knows what the final result will be, but based on smell, she's s winner already.

Update is coming next.

UPDATE: Progress! I should note that I have confirmed with my grow store owner, that I got a sub-par batch of FFOF. I don't like to call out products, but it's the third time that I've gotten a bag that was mostly bark, dry, and seemingly without much composting time. He attributed it to poor quality control, and confirmed that it used to happen to him as well - every so often - before he stopped using it. Regardless, the girls are all looking pretty good. I had to leave them for a while, and just returned. I'm using different pots, medium and light this run. Also most of the girls are somewhat finicky, and they all like different things. Women. I'll try to note some differences. I finally got off my butt and got their house set up.

ECSDH Born 2/11/16 Day 46 Veg - She's the easiest girl in the tent, if you know what she likes. Doesn't need much nutes or water, but really likes light and pruning. Great strong branches, and sharp growth habit, not too much stretch - but she will. Sweet smelling with some skunk on the back end. You can see a lot of the Chem91 in the stamped look of her leafs, and the shine.

IMAG63703.jpg

ChemD x Cookies - Born 2/11/16 Day 46 Veg - She's real dark leafed, and hungry. It's been a long time since I've had a plant yellow out at the bottom to where I pulled the first set of leafs because they were yellow. It may be partially due to the FFOF being crap, but I'll adjust. I've topdressed with a new fresh mix, and just fed her at 25%. I'm going to let them go another week or two before the flip. She was just about to wilt in this pic - so she was fed 4ml/gal Sensi

IMAG63711.jpg

HSO Bubba's - Born 2/12/16 Day 45 Veg - She doesn't like the light, and strangely for having so much afghan, she likes the white light better than the red dominated white/red/blue mix. Her branches are still a bit soft, as you can see, I've pushed her two tops down, and done some defol. Big leathery leafs, great smell, she's a mopey challenge this one, but I think she'll do something nice when she flowers.

IMAG6372.jpg

Devil's SSD - Born 2/20 Day 37 Veg - This one is pretty easy and sharp. She's very symmetrical, and doesn't complain much about anything. Sharper smell on her, more pine skunk so far, but not that prominent. She's just getting hooked up in that 5gal pot.

IMAG6373.jpg

C.C. - Buddah Tahoe OG 2/20 Day 37 Veg - Wow does this one stink. Never had anything this strong in Veg. It's as if I'm in mid-flower it's so strong. More of a vine like growth pattern, her branches just reach for the top. So far so good, can't wait to see what smells come out of her when I flip.

IMAG6374.jpg

It's going to start moving fast from here. Maybe 2 week or less till the flip. Should be perfect timing for my climate, as Chem hybrids can be finicky and seem to grow better in cooler temps - which I'm able to maintain better in the Spring and Winter grows. Yield won't be impressive, there are no big yielders in there, but I'm shooting for .75 per watt anyway. I probably won't get there in soil with these genetics, but it will be fun to see how close I can get without losing quality.

Peace and love!

They look great, CS! - always a pleasure to watch a master cannabis cultivator at work. :slide:

Great work bud. They're looking awesome. I know what you mean about sharp plants, and I appreciate plants that grow this way as well.

By the way, CC and big buddha have a collaboration going. Thats where BB got the tahoe og from. So, it's no coincidence that CC offers the same strain with exactly the same name. Buddha Tahoe is just Tahoe OG reversed by BB.

Hi Care Staker you have some very nice plants I'm just gonna pull up a chair here in the back and follow along I will be growing some God's Gift starting sometime in April I hope my plants look as good as yours you are doin a great job!

I hope they come out great my friend. I wonder if you will get the huge leafed trait that I've got going here. Seems very afghan, wonder if she will stretch. :volcano-smiley:

:passitleft: High Care....:circle-of-love:

Some real good sour batchatch :passitleft: and some Big Hugs D. :circle-of-love: I'll have to pop over and peek over your fence. ;)

:thanks: Gray. If I don't find a way to mangle them, they should make some fine smoke. The ECSDH, and SSD are going to be beautiful, the others I'm still trying to figure out. ChemD is awfully hungry, it's been a while since I've seen that, but I've been growign Sat doms. I'm thinking that once I start with some lower pH feeds, the other girls will find their happiness. :Namaste:

Rockin it CS. They all look primed and ready to start flower! My last batch of FFOF was very barky also. Their quality seems to have dropped off some. Your girls look great none the less. Is Buddah Tahoe and ECSDH also in a 5 gal pot?

:thanks:Smiles. Looks like we are both done with FFOF. Every girl got a 5gal (19L) pot, and I filled up to the top. I'm going to let them really root into the pot, but not fill it. I want them to have room to be able to push roots during early flower. Right now they are not wet/dry/cycling fast enough, so I'll wait till they are draining the pot every 5 days or so. Then they'll be ready.

Then we are of like minds. The stink on her is tremendous, and is very a sweet Chemmy funk. I'm already a fan :thumb:

Looking like the usual CareStaker standard of perfection. Sometimes those early veg stinkers hold the smell while others don't, but always a treat when one shows up. The CC site now lists all genetics & the Buddha is back to being a Louie XIII cross as it was originally. The Louie XIII genetics seem the same as the Buddha. ???
:goodjob:

:Namaste: thanks B. They are getting there. I'm hoping the early stink is a good sign of the plants potential. I don't chase the stink, but appreciate it when it show up like this. I think the Louie crosses with Tahoe Kush, instead of the Tahoe OG. I like the look of the Louis better, bigger tops, more of a hybrid. Mine seems to be leaning indi maybe, hard to say where she will go from here. :cheertwo:
