Carestaker's Chemdawg Crosses In Soil & Coco - 2016

Sorry brother....forgot that you're using mostly peat. What I said about not letting coco dry out is for straight coco or high % coco. I water the organic coco mix the same as any other soil mix, but don't let it get completely dry. Not sure if it's direct cause, but since I watered the coir heavier & more often, I haven't had any more hermies. ALL your buds are crusted white gems...no worries there!
:Namaste:

Thanks BL, and good to hear, much appreciated:thanks:. I'm planning on letting them dry out - letting them breathe, and cycling them to get the best out of them. I think I'll have enough soil, organics, and amendments in there as a buffer. I've gone through a similar learning curve with straight coir. I'm hoping the quality stays the same. We will see. :volcano-smiley:

You have great taste. ;) It's been a while, so I don't know if it's still true, but she was my favorite of all time. Soaring euphoric sativa high with no ceiling, a full on body buzz, and no lethargy. I'm hoping to find that again.

Thanks D, it's about to kick off. :cheer::circle-of-love:
Most people that I know that have tried the ECSD place it in their top smoke ever category. It is some of the loudest tastiest most expansive smoke I have ever come across. And your description of the high is spot on. I hope you are able to find it in the ECSDH as well. Digging the new panel btw that thing is wicked!

UPDATE:

ECSDH Born 2/11/16
ChemD x Cookies - Born 2/11/16
HSO Bubba's Gift was third, good vigor Born 2/12/16
Devil's SSD - Born 2/20
C.C. - Buddah Tahoe OG 2/20

The 3 bigger girls are about 3 weeks Veg. They are now on track. Better light and schedule, better RH, and better air circulation. I'm working the roots too. I added VooDoo - an beneficial bacteria blend, and Bushdoctor which is a myco based fungal bene. Both ChemD-Cookies and the ECSDH were topped at around 16 days old, above n3. Bubba's Gift just got topped yesterday, above n4. Since she flowers so fast, I might let her veg a while longer, but who knows how she'll grow from here. I've watered the one gallons just twice, no nutes at all yet - just vitamins, and benes. The three bigger amigas will get new pots this Tuesday.

Peace and pot. :Namaste:

Doing a drive-by to say high. Nice new gear brother Staker.
Glad your Grow space environment is getting better.
Much love. :Namaste:

Backatcha Dusty! :high-five: It's never perfect, but it's nice when you can get it close. ;) Always nice to see you :surf:

It is a masterpiece, of accidental pollination. :) Even if the ECSD is only part of the cross, it's all good. I'm in MA, so Chem crosses were the cornerstone of what we smoked from the 90s on. They have some nostalgia value to me, in effect, taste and smell. I got some Reg SSSDH seeds, so if I catch a male, I'll be knocking up a few branches. Sooner or later, I'll find a cut of the real deal. After three years, the dispensaries are still just getting started here, but you can't buy clones anywhere. The stink should be - prodigious. ;)

UPDATE:

Uppotted the two small girls to larger pots today. Figured I'd get some photos, they are finally looking right. To date, just the amended soil, spring water, and some benes and vitamins - no nutes. Third watering in for the smaller gals, the bigger gals got four so far.

I was going to transplant the larger three today, but I think they should fill out more first.

-----------------------------------------------

ECSDH Born 2/11/16 Day 26 - She is doing really well - shiny and vigorous. She was topped above node 3, and had node one growth pinched out. - I'll be tying the four mains down to open her up, and to thicken her branches up.

ChemD x Cookies - Born 2/11/16 Day 26 - She's not as shiny, but really sharp. She's getting tied up too. :thumb:

HSO Bubba's Gift - Born 2/12/16 Day 25 - She's a bit mopey, but perks up overnight. I think she's still stuck on a different schedule - but she'll align soon enough. She got topped, not much action yet.

Wow that ECSDH is one stout lady. Reminds me of my Grandma. 5' 2" 220 lbs, and she could slap you from across the room lol. Everything is looking great CS.

:thanks: Doc! She's getting there, and looking like she's got the shine I'm looking for too. Some Chem crosses lose that, during the cross, and I'd like to think that the shiny ones are leaning Chem. :cheer:

Looking fantastic CS! I can't wait to see how these genetics pan out.

Me too brother, they are looking like they are going to do well so far. Good but not overfast vigor, high health - just have some slower roots maybe.

Watching your Bubbas Gift closely, as I am thinking of growing one rather than another Blue Dream in the summer.

Garden is looking good CS

Thanks B! So far, she's a little picky on light, she's just a little shy. Blue dream was a great one for me this past year, she made some great daytime smoke. This Gift though, will probably be more of a dinner making companion, or early evening starter. I hope the smoke it good, looks like we will find out soon enough. I'd love to watch you grow both of them. :cheer:

Bubba's gift perks up at night? Haha. Party animal. Maybe its going to reflect in the smoke. Girls are off to a great start!

:high-five: She's an obstinate one - I think she snuck out and partied all night, so that when the light comes on, she's still sleepin'.

I finally got my crap together, and the weather got better, so they are showing improvement. They are about to explode though, the growth is coming on fast now for the bigger girls. I'm not going to rush them though, I want some decent bushes to flower. :volcano-smiley:

I should clarify too, that I am giving them some Ca/Mg at 4ml/gal - as my city water is almost devoid of both - PPM is around 90 from the tap right now. I don't really think of it as feeding them nutes, but in a sense, it is. They won't get fed for real until just before the flip.

Peace and love y'all. :love::Namaste:

Hello again Staker!

It looks like I will be growing one in the Summer cos I just spotted pistils on both Blue Dreams :yahoo::yahoo: so they are girls, and there is no good reason to grow another BD in the summer. My on season grow lineup now seems to be ASD, Portela, Green Crack, Bubbas Gift and 707 Truthband.....5 plants :yikes: I'll probably chicken out and plant only 3, but let's see how I feel closer to the time.

That's exciting, congrats! It sounds like a great lineup, almost all HSO. I have the 707 going now, and she is special looking, but more slender than I though she might be. There are a couple of phenos in the three I tossed. Maybe plant them all, and then decide? If one to two are lagging, or stunted, or having issues, you'd have backups. :cheer:

Congrats Bap...:high-five:....:circle-of-love:

That's where my lazy side kicks in - planting more than I intend to keep is just more work so I only pop extra beans when one fails to germinate. It's still really exciting for us that there are so many strains with different effects; I just gratefully grow whatever the seed throws me :laughtwo::cheesygrinsmiley::rollit::

I'll look forward to photos of the 707

ECSDH Born 2/11/16 Day 32
ChemD x Cookies - Born 2/11/16 Day 32
HSO Bubba's - Born 2/12/16 Day 31
Devil's SSD - Born 2/20 Day 23
C.C. - Buddah Tahoe OG 2/20 Day 23They are all doing well. I have the bigger girls a low feed (3ml/g) of nutes to see how they react. Aside from them being a bit slow, they are all looking great. Leafs on Bubba's Gift are huge, so I just took the top two. I've been putting it off, as they've been a little slow, but the three larger girls will get their final pots this Friday. From there, I"ll grow them to about 24" and will let them fly. I'll do some defol and training in the next two weeks to get them thicker and bigger. I'm starting to pinch them a bit, but not to the point where the stem is crushed. Peace and love - it's going to get interesting soon. :volcano-smiley:

From the top left, clockwise. ChemDxCookies, ECSDH, Bubba's Gift, Buddah Tahoe, Strawberry Sour Diesel.
