UPDATE
OK, so I took these two days ago, but am just now making the time to post. I'm getting close to the flip, but I'm not pulling that trigger just yet.
The bigger two girls are drinking their pot dry in about 6 days. I've been letting them dry out at each watering, just to the point of flagging. I may find that with this new mix, that might not be the best method. After I flip, I'm going to water a bit more frequently, and so at lower PPM. I hoping also to get a measure from which to try to guess at the density of the root system. They are almost ready, just a bit more time to stack a few more nodes and push a few more roots.
The ECSDH is going to climb I'm thinking, the ChemDcookies is also looking like she's going to run tall. I think those two might take the back row, and I'll put the smaller 3 in the front row, or arrange the smallest in the center spot. That means I can flip them all together too, as I'll be planning on letting the big girls take a little extra space in the back, and the younger girls should be able to fit if flowered just a tad earlier than I would like. Plus, it's just easier.
They are all looking pretty good, if not perfectly fed. Most of these little darlings are a bit finicky in their own way. I still do not have them all figured out, but my impressions so far -- The only thing the really have in common is that they are all Chem and all very smelly divas.
Except maybe that SSD - she's easier than pie. Bubba likes a lower pH in this mix, high temps, high RH, and yet a low/moderate feed. ChemD wants N, but not too much P. I once thought BG was sensitive to Ca, but Knope, she likes it - she's just a brat.
Groups. First pic is top-left going clockwise: ChemDcookies, ECSDH, Buddha Tahoe, Bubba's Gift, SSD
ChemDcookies below. So dark and strong. Her and her sister ECSDH were tied up together, but have recently been released for good behavior.
ECSDH below, my love. She's got some polyploidal traits, and I'm sure her genetics tell a strange tale. Her growth is very vigorous, all the time, even when left to dry. You can see a couple of examples of whorled phyllotaxy if you look close. There is one where are four branches and four petioles coming out of the same node/level of the stem. That same main branch is now creating a triwhorled top with three branches and leafs.
I should have taken more pics of her, and you can't really tell in pics, but she's looking exotic, with this dark color and texture to her leafs. I hear she won't really stretch, so she might need a step stool to hang with these wild chicks. Sorry bad angle, don't get seasick .. holy cow I got dizzy trying to figure who this one was.
Buddha Tahoe. I love the smell of this one. She's got the dog poo skunk dankweed smell and it get's everywhere ... it's like smoke.
SSD below, she's a peach. Only real easy plant in the bunch, but maybe it's me changing everything up too. She's got some stretch to her, might be a preflower response - we will see. I love her color right now. So many shades of green.
Peace and love! Got my filter set up thankfully, it was getting a bit nutty in here. These are all high stink ladies, and it's going to get hot in may for harvest. I'm going to have to kill some skunks down the street to blame it on.
