Carestaker's Chemdawg Crosses In Soil & Coco - 2016

Update Day 26 Flower. Some in the tent pics. I hope to get some better ones soon, but they are looking pretty nice. Back row is SSD on the left, Tahoe on the right. East coast is on the west coast of the front row below, and ChemD is on the right. I just put the LED back in, and have to keep it at around 50% to keep temps at 81F, so I'm back to running right around 750w. Should be able to keep that till harvest, and on real hot days I should see 84-86 max...but let's hope not.

ChemD, great smells, very frosty, not a huge plant, very compact, want's to stay small. She's a real dark green, and has real long pistils, thin leafs, doesn't need a lot nutes. Her buds look like they are going to be small, but compact and nuggy.

ESCDH

She's adorable. Kinda hungry, and loves light, she can't get enough. I have clones!

Buddha Tahoe OG She's got her stank back. Those are 60'' bamboos, she's 42" from soil. Building her buds like she's still just starting out - so I'm thinking that she's going to build and build, then go for a final swell and frost up at the very end. I'm hoping those will be bombs in 6 weeks.

SSD Since she's the best in show this round, with prolific growth and frost, she's got a few extra pics. Great berry and spice smell too. She's changing though. She's an overachiever.

Peace and love my friends.

This deserves a second look CareStaker! How absolutely beautiful! I just love this grow. Of course the ECSDH is still my favorite. I just drooled all over myself. :bravo:

Excellent update. They look fantastic bud! You're going to have some really top shelf smoke soon.

Thanks Blaze, I think you're right, and I'm really stoked. The buds are beautiful brother, I wish you could see them - silver sparkling trichs, against a pale green background, shining blue in the light. The buds are so much more similar, than the leafs are.

Just your average ol carestaker grow eh.
Full of stunningly beautifully sexylicious very well grown specimens of the ganj.
Hugs my brother.

Hugs back at you brother, and thanks for the kind words ;) I forgot how much easier it is when you are all set up and perpetual. These look pretty nice considering they were put in garbage bags and stuffed in a closet for a day.

:thanks:Doc. She's got a great berry-sugar stink going on now, with that Chemdog reek in the background, so nice! I know you like hybrids - she's got some indica in there to round things out, so I think you would like her. The SSSDH leaner I had prior was quite nice.

Plants look amazing CS. Simply gorgeous!

Thanks ganjabro, I hope they finish well! One girl freaked out - Buddha Tahoe. She put out ~10 sacks down low, which I pinched out. I didn't find any nanners in the buds, which is a good sign that she's not intersexed, just stressed. She's building some great buds too. Calyx clusters, with only stacked bracts for leaf. They aren't that big yet, but I suspect they will be big bombs by the time she finishes. SSD is fast and fat, but she might not be the high yielder. ChemD is very interesting too, she's got a great stink all her own, totally different from her cousins in there. It's got me wanting to take a sample way way early, just to see what she's got going on.

-------------------------

Soil to Soil/Coco transition. In case anyone has interest - I'll prattle a bit about my changes. I've watched the plants and have modified my watering style to accommodate. Watching plant development and pistils closely in flower has indicated that my earlier guess was correct, that watering more frequently would yield better health. Since adding a 30% mix of coco, I've shortened the interval between fertigations by about 1 day. I now feed when the pot is somewhat dry, and not almost totally dry. Also, I've begun the practice of spot-feeding with 1 liter, here and there between full waterings where I drench them. It seems to give them a little charge the following day, but it's too early to tell if this is helping. I'm not overfeeding, currently 850pmm which includes 400ppm Ca/Mg/micro. My base water is 70ppm currently, not quite RO clean, but very few minerals. All the plants are now on the same feed schedule, but they got there at different speeds. ECSDH has been on this same feed for almost 3 weeks, the others just 10 days. I'm bump up slightly next week, to about 950ppm, and then I'll roll off.

Given that I haven't futzed them all up, I'm thinking of upping the coco content, or even going full coco for the next run. Watering every 2 days isn't that bad, I'm at every three days now. Peace friends. :cheertwo:

Edit: Update on 707 Truthband. She's still great, but she's changed quite a bit in cure. She's now got some couch lock to her. The sativa-like energy that she once has is still there, but it's only really prominent in the first 30 minutes. She then relaxes you just a little too much, so night time use only - at least for me. Total daywrecker. What a way to kill one though. :cheertwo: I'm smoking her right now, trying to sleep soon. The sour is diminished after 3 weeks cure, and now there's a slightly minted chocolate on exhale, thick and chewey. Then comes the almost instant contented feeling.

Her buds are extraordinary looking and feeling. They have that crusted sugar feel, tacky to the touch, and those swollen calyxes filled with orange pistils. Potency is very good, but not a knockout. I'm not fond of knockouts anyway. Us spoiled growers have a strain for every occasion, and I can think of a few that would be go really well with this herb. Netflix all day.

Beautiful buds CareStaker! :bravo:
:thanks: Pinky. I've been blessed with some fine ladies, very happy with them. :Namaste: So far I'm pretty impressed with the 3 CSG beans, and the Devil's SSD is prolific in growth and frost. I'm hoping for easy sledding from here on in, and some stanky nugs to jar in just a few weeks. :cheertwo: I gotta pop over and see your yard. :high-five:

Looking simply define in your garden green! Nice buddage for early on :) bravo! ;)

Thanks Light! :) I can see why you're at 85% or mostly coco and some soil. I'm still on the front end of the learning curve with the mix, but I"ll certainly be increasing the coco ratio upwards after this run. :high-five:

I plan to do a big update later today ;-) :goof::dreamy::woohoo:

UPDATE 31 Days Flower

ChemD x Cookies below. She's dark, spicy, or as I've come to think of her, the Latina of the group. She's sultry slim and sexy, what's not to like. Nice frost on her, great smells, and the buds are looking decent sized for a cookie cross.

ECSDH below. She's the bell of the ball in looks, if not buds. She absolutely reeks of berries and danky skunk, but mostly the fruit for now. That underlying Chem fog of dankness comes on later and in the cure too.

Buddha Tahoe below. She's not put out any more sacks, so she's all content. Feeding every two days, alternating with and without runoff. Just a power tower of flower. I could fit 9 of her in there, that would be fun.

SSD, below. She's the biggest and frostiest of the bunch. She reminds me of the mutant polyploid Strawberry Blue in growth structure, bud size and frost. Really stinky ammonia smell mixed with some fruit in the background, she's a real stinker in a good way. I hope I can keep the heat down so that they all continue to pack it on.

Peace and pot my friends, much love, KiG.

Man you can grow them brother! Running out of superlatives....simply perfect & beautiful. Able to see the shared genetics in Buddha to my recent Louis XIII w/ all laterals growing straight up. Does the addition of ECSD to the SSSDH tip things noticeably toward the ECSD/SD genetics? Wondering how it compares w/ SSSDH? Also been meaning to ask you if you've tried the Shire cut of SSSDH since its origins are from your area? Great update....enjoying the pics w/ morning coffee.
:goodjob: :Namaste:

I see you're still not putting a foot wrong. 100% dialed in. Such pretty ladies. When I'm in flower I push the girls to the edge of nute uptake. Seems you might take a different approach?
