Ha! And her branches are sag-proof, since they're already leaning on all 4 walls...the box is like a big ol' cardboard tomato cage..

Get! Out!Well, yesterday I decided I had to do something to be able to take overhead pics of my indoor plant...
She's getting too big to take pics through the "viewing port" that I installed after mounting the new light.
The top used to open up on the box, but it doesn't since the @NextLight 420h got mounted on top.
So, I made up a couple of hinges..
Now it opens again...
That's it!
I'll be back in here tomorrow with an update or two-
Thanks for looking, I appreciate the support!
Thank you, HashGirlMy condolences to you and your wife on the passing of her aunt.
She's testing the limits of the ol' box, that's for sure! Still growing, too...I thought she was done, but she's grown another inch since Monday...Your GSC is just gorgeous, Carcass! Nice work.
Hi, Amy! I'm honored to have you stop by my journal... It's really nice to see you, and I hope life is treating you wellthis box is still a reinforced cardboard box, right?
This is awesome!! I'm going to try this next run, copied all 9 steps for future referenceNow it's time for training Update #9...
This update is about what to do when the branches are trying to get tall, and they're getting a little too big to tie down...
This mostly concerns the 6 or 8 main branches, but you can also do this to the smaller branches if they're wanting to get taller than the others...
If you do this to a branch, it'll stop growing for a couple of days, while the stem repairs itself...
You need to squeeze pretty hard when you do this...or..you can just mash the branch with pliers, but I don't do it that way...This is sort of like supercropping, but without the bending....
@Trala isn't going to like this part...
And now, a little about trimming/defoliation:
I like the bottom third of the plant to be pretty "open" - it looks better, it helps with airflow and light penetration, and if you get rid of the larf now, you don't have to deal with it at harvest time....
You may want to do it a little better than I do- totally up to you...
This is probably the last installment on the canopy training- from here on in, we just let her grow, and do what we can to keep things flat- and (in my case) hope she's about done stretching...
Although- If there's something I haven't covered well enough, or there's a specific step that you'd like explained better, feel free to let me know, and I'll gladly go over it with you, or do another tutorial update.
Thanks for looking, and I hope I've been of some help to those of you that are interested in this training method.
Thanks for looking!
I really appreciate all of you...
I've grown about 5 of them that way, although, this GSC is the biggest one so far- all the others stopped growing at 17" tall, this one's 24", and in a 5 gallon pot instead of the usual 3 gallon. Even though the last one (@Herbies Seeds /Blueberry Hill) was only 17" tall, she still produced 7.6 oz of great smoke. This is awesome!! I'm going to try this next run,
I tried it with one auto (CBD Pink Kush) but the plant ended up 5" tall, and about 14" wide, and didn't produce much- but that plant started flowering at day 16 above ground..Do you do it this way with autos too.
I'll do that,Tim- I talk to him a couple times a week...If you talk to him, tell him I said hello.
@Timhomegrow would you be willing to share with me please? I've been wanting to do this myself. This is awesome!! I'm going to try this next run, copied all 9 steps for future reference

I'm limited in that box, so I stop training them wider at 18", and they end up 24" wide, because, as they grow upward, that also lean outward...they might end up even wider, but they hit the walls in the box at 24"...@Carcass , how wide do they get on average
