Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Happy Monday! It' time for an Update...

First up, the 91 day old GSC, (from the so-cal seed fairy:love:) flipped to 12/12- 41 days ago, flowering for 31 days. She's doing pretty well, 24" tall in some spots..

The way the box is set up, I can't get a pic of the whole plant at once, but maybe you can kinda piece it together from the pics..
1.jpg

Things are stacking up pretty well...
2.jpg

She's 14-16" from the light, which is set at 200 watts- 60k lux at the canopy-
3.jpg

Most of the leaves on the bottom half of the plant have fallen off- it's dark down there..but the top half is doing fine..
2a.jpg

Now on to the outdoor autos...first , the 83 day old DDa:love:flowering for 52 days:
4.jpg

She's just growing like she should be-

6.jpg

She's 18" tall
6a.jpg

You can see there's still lots of new pistils, so she's gonna fatten up a bit more before the end...
5.jpg

The GSC and the DarkDevil auto are both being fed the same- 5.5g/mc/gal. /4ml. silica/ 1g/gal/ Aloe Vera powder/ .25g Easy Weed/gal., and they both seem pretty happy with that.

On to the Geoflora fed White Chem, and Kalashnikov x Wookiee autos.

What can I say...they're ugly as sin, but they're still hanging in there- the WC is 78 days old, KxW is 69 days old...I think I'm going to harvest both of these in a few days..I'm tired of watching them get a little uglier every day...:cheesygrinsmiley:
I'll probably get half an ounce between the 2, which will go in to my next batch of gummies...

7a.jpg

Yep...ugly from this angle too...:cheesygrinsmiley:
8.jpg

And that just about does it for today's update!
Thanks for looking, I appreciate the support..
and I hope everyone has a great week!

the Quotes:
If I compare my CK, 82 days seems quite long, even the ten days shorter seems quite long. How many days in flower? Did you have a longish veg?
Hi, Carmen- That one started flowering on or around day 26, so 56 days in flower- The DDa is the same age, and I think she has about 10 days to go- she started flowering on day 31 (apx.)

I plan on waiting until her drinking slows down to harvest the DDa- right now, she's still putting out a lot of pistils, and drinking as much as usual, so she'll be going for awhile ..
Good girl Wookster!

I can’t wait to grow mine :)
Thanks, T!
And you'll be the only one in the whole country growing one... (so far :) )

Not really much to her, but what there is is frosty, stinky, and sticky...
Other than weight you can't ask for much more than that. :)
And her buds are funny looking, but they're pretty dense
Good thing you went with a light trim...way too confusing to try anything else!
And into the OCD® she goes...(Odorless Cannabis Dryer:cheesygrinsmiley: )
I forgot about that, but I'm sure Mrs C hasn't.
I've got the exhaust fan set to come on for 30 minutes, every 6 hours-
Last time, the fan was set for 30 minutes every 2 hours, and the weed dried too fast, so we'll see if the new timing slows things down a little..
Damn it's got an exhaust fan timer too? I need to step up my drying game!
She's doing pretty well, 24" tall in some spots..
And every inch a looker. :welldone: That seed fairy dropped it at the right house.
maybe you can kinda piece it together from the pics..
LOL!
the top half is doing fine..
Uhhh...better than fine.
She's just growing like she should be
Such a pretty specimen!
I think I'm going to harvest both of these in a few days..I'm tired of watching them get a little uglier every day
Oh good, so I'm not the only one who uses that to decide when to chop. :)
Yep...ugly from this angle too..
LOL!

I've changed my name for the GSC to Gorgeous Slob-inducing Cannibis! She's outstanding!

And the Dark Dank Auto is really lovely to look at!

I'll leave it there! :)

She's 14-16" from the light, which is set at 200 watts- 60k lux at the canopy-
Oh wow. Carcass did I have my flowers too close to my light? I just moved the light up so that it is 14 inches from the flowers and that makes it 24 inches away from the vegging plants but I can put more books under them if needs be? I was about 6 inches from the flowers. What do you think? I am pretty sure I have foxtails... I still have a lot to learn about lighting and I'd like to try to do a better job of this next one in flower. I don't understand the maths and science but I can read the Photone app and use a tape measure :cheesygrinsmiley: I went through my notes and re-read a ton of stuff on Google... I can lower my lights again lol... I remember now that it is lux that matters, not distance so much... sorry

Good morning C Dogg

Your plant is looking just beautiful :) This part is my favourite part of flower.

That purple bud. I want to grow that. Can you get those seeds from Herbies?

Thanks, GDB!
She is starting to be a little drool- worthy...
And even Mrs.C.likes the looks of that DDa (and that  never happens..:thedoubletake:

Hi, Carmen!
I go by the lux meter, because these old eyes can't really see the difference between 30k and 60k lux...the distance does matter now in the box - if that GSC gets any taller, I'll have to start turning the light down, because I don't want the lux to go much above 60k at the canopy...
This part is my favourite part of flower.
Mine too- it's cool to watch them get a little bit fatter everyday :)
That purple bud. I want to grow that. Can you get those seeds from Herbies?
NTH graciously answered that below- but, if you want to grow some purple bud, Blackberry auto is another good one- even more purple than the DDa- real good smoke too...
Interested in that strain also Trala and yes the carry the Dark Devil auto strain at Herbies.
Thank You for looking that up, NTH!
I didn't think you could get DDa anymore, but @HashGirl set me straight on that last week...:cheesygrinsmiley:

Wow! The GSC and DDA sure are beauties! :green_heart:Congrats on the harvests as well!
Thank you, candy! Yeah, a little t.l.c. went a long ways with those 2...
This is my first attempt following Carcasses tutorial.

She is a fucking awesome Wedding Cake.
Fixed that for ya, T...
Wow that looks absolutely gorjus. Good job Trala
She really nailed it, didn't she?
How long did you veg the wedding cake trala? Those sites are 10/10 :thumb:
I think she went about 50 days, but you'd have to check with Trala to be sure :)

Welcome to my little journal, @GreenFingaz !

Thanks for the kind words, GreenFingaz!

Hmmm...day 42 is a bit far into the grow to start training the way I do it , but you may still be able to do some training on the branches to spread them out a little.

Can you post up a pic?
( before I tell you you can't do something, I really ought to see what you're working with..) :)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And, while I'm here, how about a little Harvest Update?

First up is the outdoor,in the ground, WhiteChem and Wookiee x Kalashnikov autos (the ugly ones):cheesygrinsmiley:

I ended up chopping them on Wednesday
White Chem: (that's the whole plant)
h1.jpg

And, the whole KxW:
h2-kxw.jpg

About half an hour later: (White Chem is in the pan, KxW in my hand)
h3.jpg

From there, they went into the drying box with the Wookiee from last week. Wookiee is the 2 lower rows...
h4-top row -wc-kxw.jpg

So, I pulled the Wookiee out yesterday, (dried for 6 days) and snipped the buds off the stems this morning...
46g, so about an ounce and a half, of what I gotta say, is some odd looking weed...
H-6.jpg

I left it pretty leafy, but everything I left is covered with frost...it might smoke a little harsh, but I'll bet it gets the job done...:)
H-7.jpg

I'll find out just how harsh in a few weeks, after a little curing...It's at 65% rh in the jar now.
h-8.jpg

And, one more thing- I've got a little dwarf apricot tree growing in half a wine barrel in the patio- this tree is around 11 years old, and, until this year, it had had a total of 11 apricots on it in as many years...

Anyhow, about a year ago, I started feeding it mc & @GeoFlora Nutrients (The Geoflora was watered in with the mc) and it started growing....it's an ugly little tree, and it needs pruning, but now, it's 6 feet taller than it was last year, and it has "a few" apricots on it...:cheesygrinsmiley:
h5-mc- apricot tree b.jpg

it evidently liked them nutes...

That's about all for now-
I hope everyone's weekend is shaping up to be a good one!
Thanks for looking I appreciate the support!

Congrats on your harvest mate.

Im so glad you put that apricot up. I grow a few different fruits, and ran some left over and diluted nutes from my outdoors on a bunch of different plant types.

It seemed everything improved, from a little to a lot. Most noticeable was my strawberries, but olive tree and pomegranate were impressive too.

I was only discussing this just the other day in relation to bloom boosters. When you see results like the apricot you have pictured its certain to me that we can definitely enhance results.

It just takes seeing it in non related plant types to step back and see it demonstrated so clearly.

Ye no worries man. I thought it would be might jump on that on the next run. :thumb: . Love the drying rack btw i believe thats the best way to go about it.

Happy growing

Congrats on your harvest mate.
Thanks, Deeve! I wish they were all as easy to trim as those little gals..
It just takes seeing it in non related plant types to step back and see it demonstrated so clearly.
I use my weed nutes on the wife's houseplants too- keeps them nice n green, but they're so rootbound
they can't do much else...
Love the drying rack btw i believe thats the best way to go about it.
I got the idea from @InTheShed , so he gets the credit for that one ! (although, mine has a timer, so it's fancier than his):cheesygrinsmiley:
