Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Seems like a good day for an Update!

Here's what's still growing in the box- Alaskan Bananaberry x Wizard auto
(seed by J.Goody:love:)

She sprouted on 7/8/24, so she's apx 11 weeks old..I did some quadline- based training on her, but I left ten branches to train, instead of the usual 4...

And those ten branches have grown into a pretty nice plant..

SaugaView..
she's finally starting to fade a little, and drop a few leaves...
abbw 2.JPG

Her buds are "the good ones" too- hard as rocks..
abbw bud 1.JPG

They've still got some fattening up to do..
abbw bud 3.JPG

Those tallest tops are only 7" from the light, but nothing is getting burnt, so that's cool...
That string around her isn't holding anything up- it's there in case she was a flopper....

Now, that's a nice thumb...😁

And her tumor is doing fine, getting a little fatter everyday...🤪

I thought I'd have plenty of jars, but I'm going to need a few more for this one...

And that's all for this time..
Thanks for checking it out!
I hope your week is off to a great start, and
your plants are all thriving..:peace:

Damn she’s prettier every day. ❤️

Her Mom ABB wasn’t a very big variety but she had some great traits.

Looks like the Wizard added some size and density to her. She’ll be a smorgasbord of flavors.

Those are some upright stems in there so no wonder it ain't gonna flop! That fade might be a bit early looking at all the white pistils, but that should make this trim a heck of a lot easier than the last 3. :thumb:
She has the kind of nugs that I wish the outside girls would have had
I'll be those outsiders would have been rocks but for the reveg/kitchen light thing they had to deal with. Still, 1lb wet colas are nothing to sneeze at!

I didn't see these on Monday..sorry..

I figured that's why the CK and Somango ended up with somewhat fluffy nugs- but the Forbidden Fruit had a "normal" veg/flowering period, and she's the fluffiest of all...go figure..🤔
I agree, it was!
👍

Hi, folks-
Found something on the ABBxw auto today that may alter her harvest schedule....

She doesn't get rotated much in there, because she's sort of square and almost as wide as the box...
abbw2.JPG

She's probably within about a week and a half of harvest
abbw3.JPG

So, when I rotated her, I found thousands of these little bastards, living in the larf on the backside of the plant..a few made it to the top, but not many...I removed the affected leaves, and gave her a weak nicotine spray to kill the ones I missed.
That may be the end of them..but, if they start to get the upper hand in there, I'll have to chop a little early....I don't want them in the buds because they don't wash out, so you either have to toss the bud, or smoke some aphids..:lot-o-toke:

No bugs at all on my outside plants, and my inside plant gets aphids...wtf?🤔
I'm sure they rode in on my clothing, and hopped off into the box....sneaky little bastards....

aphids.JPG

I hope I can control those aphids, because I'd really like to give her another week+

still flowering after all these weeks..

That's it for now-
I'll let you know how the aphid war goes..
Thanks for looking👍

Thanks, Shed- I'll get some of that in the morning- the last place I
looked didn't have the unscented stuff, but I'll find it somewhere else..👍

Aphids aren’t quite as bad as finding mites (my opinion) easier to clean off/kill too. You can always hose it off outside and bring it back in too (maybe)
At least you found them!
She looks good, this bit of shock ought to push those last pistils into finishing.
I got aphids the same way- from trimming outdoor plants near roses then I brought them in…🐞

And all the outside plants were dried within 5 feet of the
box...so I may be lucky that aphids are all she got...🐛😬

Search and destroy, that's your mission now soldier! :Rasta:

Dang aphids. I got them in the last week before harvest in my outdoor plants last year. Just when you start saying things like "as long as I don't get bugs in the next 2 weeks Ill have a great harvest", they appear like magic.

Try not saying things like that Crusher! 😁

Glad you spotted the aphids while there is hopefully time to sort them out. :thumb:
Thanks, Stunger!
They're not back in force this morning, so I at least slowed them down yesterday..
Beautiful plant hoping you kill all the bug's
Thank You, Keith- With aphids, killing most of them is usually the best you can do..
Some surprises just suck Carcass! Hah! See what I did there, Aphids, suck ,
....groan.........😁👍
Search and destroy
Once I find aphids, I can't look at the plant without looking for more of 'em..

I halfway expected them outside, but this was an unexpected surprise..😐

It's true- you never seem to see those little bastards unless harvest is just around the corner...🤬

Of all the insects to be infested with aphids are defs my favourite. They seem to stay really confined, living on top of each other rather than spreading out.

And they are so easy to remove. Well I find they are.

I feel the same way. Could be way worse. At least you can SEE aphids.
If he hadn’t already sprayed, there’s some bugs you could let loose that would eat every one of those..but easy enough to kill/remove.

They know where the good weed is 😂 in the box 📦
