Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Hi, Boo- Great to see you!
Your Wookies (above) looks like one of my Wookies:
They could be sisters!...oh, wait...🤔
Those orange hairs! Perhaps from the GSC lineage?
I think so, Boo- they definitely remind me of that GSC I grew about a year ago... I really dig that stuff- I've smoked very little else since her harvest....
So GSC with a bit 'o Wookiees thrown in sounds yummy! I may have a new favorite in 6 weeks or so...:rollit:

You can see the GSC influence in both..

🤤 What a sweet girl you have there
That's the only kind Boo grows!

Thanks, Shed!- Last week- purple, this week- orange...next week? I hope not, but probably yellow..(ish).

Yeah, she'll get there eventually- her buds just look sooo skinny to me after looking at W2's tennis ball sized nugs...👀

Welcome to my Journal, Absorber!
Those are just my feeble attempt at getting a little light down to the bottom leaves- didn't help, though- most of them died and fell off last week..:)

Thanks, VG! -
How much Nitrogen is there in way too much sugar?🙂

Well, it figures you'd need the tall cans...

Thanks, RD!
Glad you like them! They really do make the training easier, so more do-able...:thanks:

I sure did! - but by the time she reached the edge of the pot, the stretch was over..
you win some, you lose some with autos...although, this one seems to be making the best of her "short" situation...👍
Thanks for the reply
:passitleft:

And today, a few parting shots of the little Wookiees auto #2....

Tomorrow is harvest day, so I got a little head start today, and removed most of the big fan leaves.
On a side note, it also removed the powdery mildew, which last weekends high humidity brought back with a vengeance...
I considered just harvesting her today @ apx10% amber trichomes, but I decided to give her one more day in the sun because I'm a bit lazy, and a little more amber isn't going to hurt anything..:cheesygrinsmiley:

91 days old, 73 days in her SIP, flowering for 50 days, 8" tall- raised on Grow Dots, @Plagron Green Sensation, and Purpinator...the seed was created and dropped off to me by my son, @Justin Goody..

Anyhow, here she is before...
W2-a.jpg

And after her haircut...
W2 after.jpg

How much weed can there even be on an 8" plant?..🤔..probably more than you'd think.... we'll find out for sure tomorrow ..:cheesygrinsmiley:
W2H3.jpg

She's nothin' but buds- and that was the plan, so it worked out pretty well..

Actually, "taller" was also part of the plan, but she skipped that part...🤪
W2a 82523.jpg

A few of those buds:
W2 bud.jpg

some frosty goodness...
W2H1.jpg

fortunately, the pm didn't bother the buds...
W2 bud (2).jpg

one more....
W2 Harvest time.jpg

And finally, a pic of her 10 days older (101 days) indoor sister, Wookiee auto #1..... just because...😁
she'll be ready in 3 weeks to a month...
W1 82523.jpg

There you have it!
I'll post up some W#2 harvest pics tomorrow...
She won't take long to trim, she's already half done...✂️

Thanks for looking, and have an outstanding weekend.!..:peace:

Thanks for the update and I look forward to tomorrow. :thumb: :lot-o-toke::peace:

You're Welcome, Keith- I'll see you then!

Thanks, GDB- I think Karnac is in the ballpark! ⛳ ......(there's no baseball diamond emoji:cheesygrinsmiley:).....
She looks more in the mid 5s to me but I’m eternally optimistic when they’re still full of water.

Happy Monday, folks- How about a little Update on my 2 Wookiees autos?

Wookiee#1 is 96 days old, in her SIP for 68 days, and she's been flowering for apx. 32 days now.
As expected, the Grow Dots ran out of steam a week or so ago, but the @Plagron Green Sensation(4ml) and Purpinator(10ml.) are keeping both plants fairly happy- this one's a bit paler than I'd like, but she's not yellow (yet) so, I'll take it..some of the lower leaves are yellow, but I think that's probably normal- not much light gets down there...

W1-1.jpg

Both plants are drinking a bit more than half a gallon a day, down from a gallon in veg...(?)

W1-2.jpg

She's filling in slowly...
still mostly 19" tall...

W1-4.jpg

One of her skinny buds...
W1-5.jpg

And, the 86 day old outdoor Wookiee#2..a little different pheno than her sister in the box..
She's also been in her SIP for 68 days (and loving it!) ...Flowering for apx 45 days.
W2-1.jpg

She never did do any stretching, so she's still 8" tall...the Grow Dots running out of gas don't seem to have affected her at all, she's got maybe 1 or 2 yellow leaves..They both drink from the same jug, so she's getting the supplements too, whether she needs 'em or not..:cheesygrinsmiley:
W2-1b.jpg

Those buds aren't real long, but they're pretty fat...and there's a bunch of 'em 🙂
W2-1a.jpg

A closer look- she's about a week from being done, just waiting on some amber in the right places...
W2-9.jpg

The high humidity yesterday got her pm (powdery mildew) active again, so she'll get sprayed this evening with a .5% citric acid solution- I'd do it right now, but it's too damn hot out there..🤬
W2-8.jpg

And that's about all for this update....
Thank You for looking, I appreciate the support..❤️
and have a great week..:peace:
They're starting to get some nice leaf colors!

Have a nice trim today Carcass! A coffee toast to you this morning! I'm guessing 5+ zips too.

My son is using Grow Dots on his three outdoor plants, and having his best-ever grow so far. Started seeing some minor yellowing about 3 weeks ago (at about day 70). He's not much into regular mixing of nutes, so I added a little sprinkling of more Grow Dots as a top dressing for him. It certainly slowed down the yellowing but didn't stop it entirely. Yesterday I sprinkled some GeoFlora Veg as a top dressing. We'll see what happens, but so far, it's his best-looking plants.

That sounds pretty similar to my SIP experience.

Wowza, there's a bunch of them, indeed! And super frosty too! :bravo:

Beautiful, little plant. Good luck on today's harvest! :tommy:

I'm back, with a few pics of the Wookiees#2 auto harvest!

Here's a final silhouette shot, just before she went "under the knife"
w2-1.jpg

Ready for the chop...
w2-1a.jpg

Boom!
w2-2.jpg

She filled the big pan pretty well...
w2-10.jpg

This was apx. 10:00 am...just gettin' started...
w2-4.jpg

And, now it's almost 1:00pm...not sure how I can be so slow, but I sure am...🤪
w2-5.jpg

On to the postage scale she went- (zeroed for the pan) 22.1 oz, wet- so 5.0 / 5.5 oz after drying...not too bad for a stubby little plant...🤔
w2-6--5.1-5.55 oz..jpg

From there, she went into the drying box, where she'll spend the next week or so...
w2-7.jpg

During the winter, they dry in 10 days, but it's going to be hot next week, so this one will only take 6 or 7 days, maybe even a little less...
w2-12a.jpg

There's a little blower on top of the box, that only comes on for half an hour every 5 hours, and that slows the drying process down a little, even in the hot weather..
w2-9.jpg

And that about closes the book on that one!
She was 91 days old, 73 days in her 4 gallon SIP, and she flowered for 7 weeks..

Thanks for following along,
I really appreciate your support...
.

On to the quotes:
She looks more in the mid 5s to me but I’m eternally optimistic when they’re still full of water.
Good guess! have you done this before?🤪
A coffee toast to you this morning! I'm guessing 5+ zips too.
Damn, you guys are good!
That sounds pretty similar to my SIP experience.
It's the opposite of what I'd expect to happen, but I guess these plants know what they're doing...:hmmmm:
Beautiful, little plant. Good luck on today's harvest! :tommy:
Thank You, Beez!
It went well- apparently even the easy ones take me 3 hours!

She sure looks nice in the Box, Carcass. Nice harvest! :Rasta:

Congrats on another successful harvest!
Those buds look chunky!
Thank You, GB- What they lacked in length, they made up in girth!

She sure looks nice in the Box, Carcass. Nice harvest!
Thank You, GDB!- She'll look even better in the jars! ..which reminds me...I need more jars again...

:laughtwo:Ha!- Thanks, RD- I saw it before it was removed...
And 3 hours all by your lonesome to get such a nice trim doesn't seem remotely slow to me.
It's good that I grow 'em small- If I had to trim a plant like yours, it'd probably take me a week..
I really should put a timer on the fan for my drying box... ⏲️
You should give it a try- it makes the drying a little more controllable, especially in cooler weather...
Mine's a 12 volt blower, running on 5 volts, so it doesn't move much air through there- seems to move just enough, though...I run it for 12 hours straight right at first, then the timer gets turned on for the rest of the process.
I'd smoke that. Great looking buds man. Yum
Thanks, Lerugged!👍

Me too! Luckily I can always rope at least one if not two other folks in on the "fun."

I've got a new box with no holes drilled yet, and I've got a computer fan connected to a jumped power supply.

Next time I dry in a box I'm going to give it a shot, but I'm pretty sure the 5KC (and later the GM) will hang in the tent. I'll be putting that fan in a timer for sure.

:thanks:

Not that you're worried about it, but exhausting it through a charcoal filter will eliminate about 98% of the smell coming from the ocd...(odorless cannabis dryer):)...

You'd need a refrigerator box to fit those girls in.. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Congrats on the sweet Wookiee harvest.

Those are some hefty buds on that tiny plant. Great job!
Thanks so much, VG- luckily, when she stopped growing "up", she kept growing "out"! :cheesygrinsmiley:
Great result! She’s defs got that Goody Wookiee sparkle.
Thank You, Trala! She really does have the "sparkle factor"💎

I don't usually save the trimmins, but everything I trimmed off is trichome encrusted...so I'll be de-kiefing" that trim in a week or so...:Rasta:
