What is it you would look for on the buds to change your mind? Same colors on the bud leaves or something else?so I'm just going to let her go as she is from here on in...The buds seem unnaffected by whatever the leaves have going on, hopefully that remains the case till the end..
Thank You, Trala..Omg your plants! Just o. m. g!
I think you're right about that, GDB...The Dots scheme seems to be geared toward pumping up the buds at the end
I'd look for yellowing or browning of the sugar leaves (besides just the tips)...although, if that happens, I still can't do much about it- except worry a bit...What is it you would look for on the buds to change your mind?
Yeah, I'm thinking that's just the way the Dots work, since others are experiencing almost the same thing.time to make bud now so it's ok to let some things go.
It was 42f in the box last night, so if it's true that low temps bring out the colors, she may look like a friggin' rainbow pretty soon here...You're about to get "fall colors"
It was 42f in the box last night
Thanks, GDB! She's slowly working her way toward "nothin' but buds"Those fuzzy, fat and long buds are nothing but the truth Carcass!
It might be that the extra Dots I added last week slowed the yellowing down ...didn't slow it down very much, but maybe a little..And your yellowing is way less invasive than what I experienced with the Dots.
I'm going to give the Dots one more try after this one...I'd like to find an answer to the yellowing problem, but, right now, I have no idea how I'll do it.But growing with them has got me peeking at my other nutes
Thanks so much, Stungershe's a beauty, well done on her!
I always wonder about this. As big as your buds are, can't we assume they would be bigger/better on a plant without yellowing leaves? Otherwise, why do we care about nutrient deficiencies or toxicities? She's been in the Grow Dots for 77 days- they seem to still be feeding the buds pretty well...the leaves, not so much
I have wondered about this too. Somehow I don't imagine there would be a lot of impact if any but I am not speaking from any knowledge here. Maybe the plant is going to try harder to pump the pistils while she can?I always wonder about this. As big as your buds are, can't we assume they would be bigger/better on a plant without yellowing leaves? Otherwise, why do we care about nutrient deficiencies or toxicities?
So like "creating" nutrient issues to elicit a stress response?I have wondered about this too. Somehow I don't imagine there would be a lot of impact if any but I am not speaking from any knowledge here. Maybe the plant is going to try harder to pump the pistils while she can?
I don't know but I wonder.. the plant is up against time stress too, so maybe..So like "creating" nutrient issues to elicit a stress response?
The first yellow leaves to appear were the lower, older fan leaves, then it moved up to a some random upper leaves..The yellowing started a week or so before I added the calmag pro...First place I spotted them was on the middle to upper fans, which would take a nitrogen deficiency out of the equation
That's probably a safe assumption- not a lot of clorophyll in the yellow ones, so they're doing very little for the plant, except giving back some nutes before they die and fall off...As big as your buds are, can't we assume they would be bigger/better on a plant without yellowing leaves?
Seems like the amount of impact may also be affected by "why" the leaves are yellow..Somehow I don't imagine there would be a lot of impact if any but I am not speaking from any knowledge here.
The Dots will definitely give one nutrient issues...So like "creating" nutrient issues to elicit a stress response?
I wonder too- my plant is definitely stressed, but the buds seem to be developing just fine...and how would you ever know for sure if they'd of done better with all green leaves...seems like they would do at least a little bit better, but that's just a guess..I don't know but I wonder.. the plant is up against time stress too, so maybe..
