Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

I'm very sorry to hear that..Is she doing ok?
She’s doing fine. Thanks for asking. She’s a pharmacy tech at Walgreens. She was exposed a couple of days after receiving her second Moderna COVID shot. She never showed any symptom from either the virus or the shots.

Fingers crossed that it stays light on symptoms for her, hope so.

That's great to hear!- If I'm negative, I get vaccinated on Wed morning- Moderna shot#1...
Hopefully, I'll have my test results before then...

Sounds like the vaccine is doing it's job- it'll sure be nice when this virus is in everyone's rearview mirror!

Maybe getting a covid shot will soon be as commonplace as getting a flu shot...
Hell, I'll get a shot once a month if that's what it takes...

It’s been over three weeks now and she hasn’t shown any symptoms.

If I'm negative, I get vaccinated on Wed morning-
I got my first Pfizer dose on February 2 through the VA. They are giving out doses to any veteran over the age of 65.

Just keep on consuming your crop there carcass. There’s a lot of research going on, particularly in Canada, Netherlands, and Israel, about the effects of cannabinoids on the virus and the damage it causes the body. CBD heavy strains are showing promise in their ability to prevent cytokine storms as well as reversing some of the damage caused by an overreaction of the autoimmune system. More validation testing is needed, but preliminary studies on rats shows that acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and other symptoms of cytokine storm are greatly alleviated and in some cases a large amount of the damage to the lungs reversed when treated with full plant extract.

A lot of the articles like to make cannabis seem like a double-edged sword because smoking cannabis suppresses certain enzymes in the lungs that ward off initial infection. That is, smoking cannabis quite possibly could increase the likelihood of becoming infected.. but given the previous information, that same smoke will, in all likelihood, prevent your infection from becoming a grave case of COVID.

I find it funny that they never touch on the possibility of edibles and capsules. They just assume we all smoke. I think if you’re constantly taking edibles or caps (as I know you’re one to do @Carcass ) then you’re gaining the benefits (and possible prevention) without any of the risks associated with smoking the flower.

I really love this plant we are all here to grow.

They're vaccinating (or trying to vaccinate) everyone over 65 here, Mrs.C. is a youngster (63) so she has to wait a few weeks...
without any of the risks associated with smoking the flower.
That is interesting, Chef- thanks for that! I vaporize most of my thc now, and I eat 4 or 5 cbd gummies a day, so if cannabinoids do offer some protection, I'm doing my part ..:)
I'd be willing to bet that most folks on this forum are pretty well protected, too...just a hunch...:yummy:

I trust the plant more than fast tracked drugs. You are the trial. I will not be partaking.

I trust the fast tracked drugs more than I trust covid 19....
Hell, I took so many dangerous drugs when I was young, I'm sure not going to turn down one that may save my life now...

I'm in the USA- On the central coast of California...
Oh really?

Is that where the Hollywood sign is?

Carcass, I remember reading in a leading geographical journal that if everybody had a ocean, across the USA then everybody be surfin Californ eye aye. Do you agree or disagree?

You make my heart sing. You really do.

This distrust people have of “big pharma” is bonkers to me. I’m not suggesting that doctors don’t mismanage, make mistakes and get treatment plans wrong, but this attitude that your health system is deliberately trying to make you sick is in-fucking-sane to me.

capitalism works because of greed and selfishness.(Human Nature) Do I need to bring up lawsuits against big pharma for all the times they push drugs through that are trash to make money. No offence but you guys are shilling pretty hard for people on a form for growing MJ.(which has been suppressed by big pharma for profit reasons) I’m going to have to dip out. Peace brothers.

Same here, but there’s just sooooo many people trying to get a shot and not enough shots to go around. I gave up getting up at 6 am and trying to log in to get a shot. Too frustrating. I‘m glad a friend told us about the VA. They were so helpful and the process was very smooth. Not something that you normally associate with a big government organization.

Good Sunday morning!
everybody be surfin Californ eye aye.
I'm about 150 miles up the coast from the Hollywood sign...I've seen it quite a few times, but I don't get
to Los Angeles very often anymore-
And...believe it or not, I've never surfed in my life, even though I live about 12 miles from the ocean
You make my heart sing. You really do.
Thanks,Trala- That made my day!

Do I need to bring up lawsuits against big pharma
No...no you don't- you have your opinions, and I have mine, and this isn't the time or the place to
discuss our differences on this subject.

One thing: Referring to other members and I as "shills" is very offensive, and I'd rather not see any more of that behavior in my journal- If you don't like what's being said in here, then simply don't read it...
I’m going to have to dip out. Peace brothers.
Probably for the best...stay safe, Reave!
but there’s just sooooo many people trying to get a shot and not enough shots to go around.
Yeah, I figured it'd be at least a few months before I got a shot, I was really surprised when the doctor called me to set up an app't. this soon..(actually 2 appt's- second shot is a month from Wednesday)
hope you’re test comes back negative carcass!!
Thanks, BL!- You and me both..apparently, the lab doesn't work weekends, so it's gonna be awhile....

Oh, and our lil Nova is a year old today! (we're not going to the party, for obvious reasons.)

Beautiful multi coloured bud back there carcass! :bravo: hope you got to FaceTime in to novas party!?

showing promise in their ability to prevent cytokine storms as well as reversing some of the damage caused by an overreaction of the autoimmune system.
:thumb: Not just promise, it works! (But in ’lab‘ terms, i think promise i all they can say). Ive been relying on this exact phenomena these past years while managing an overactive immune system and dealing with cytokine storms. Its actually oddly exciting for many of us with long-time chronic conditions (often post-viral) that this issue, and the ‘long COVID’ thing is pushing the topic to the mainstream view. A handful of doctors who have been slaving tirelesslyon ths work for years (around conditions like ME CFS fibromyalgia etc - and AFAIK actually identiied cytokine storms in the first place) are getting called upon for their expertise in the area. There’s some great and potentially revolutionary work thats been hampered only by lack of funding (.e.,i lack of political will). There is a shift happening there that i hope everyone benefits from In the long term.

Thanks, Amy! That little suggestion of purple does look good on her!

We didn't facetime the party, but the kids are keeping us well posted...
Nova looks pretty busy, so she probably won't notice that we're not there- and this way, she'll still have some presents to look forward to.. :)
There is a shift happening there that i hope everyone benefits from In the long term.
Meanwhile, we'll continue with our own research!

Now that it's becoming legal in more places throughout the world, I don't think the politicians can ignore it for much longer...it is a "thing" now whether they like it or not...and it's going to become more of a "thing" as more folks experience the true benefits of this amazing weed...
At least that's how I hope things go...

Waiting nervously for your test results 150 miles south of you
My test isn't even to the lab yet, so we'll wait nervously together:nervous-guy:...I thought they might work weekends because... pandemic... but no such luck..really though, I'm sure the lab workers need to step away from this stuff every so often to maintain their sanity...
A Valentine's baby bringing love to the world around her.
