I’ve been tested three times and have been negative all three times. I got my first COVID shot last Tuesday through the Veterans Administration. It’s open to all veterans age 65 and older. I just gotta stay safe till I get my second shot.

Just checking in- things are about the same as they were yesterday- no worse, and
still no fever, so I'm thinking that's a good thing- we're going to stay away from everyone
until we get the test results- looks like that'll be about a week from now...

Glad to hear you're not feeling any worse at least. Fingers crossed for you. Sucks missing these things but you will be doing the best thing. Like Shed said, they don't remember. I missed my daughter's first birthday because I was in Iraq, 2nd birthday because I was away on exercise, then finally got to her 3rd birthday because I managed to book my R&R during my 3rd tour in Afghan to land on her birthday. She forgave me. Lol.

Best one was when I got back early from my last tour. Landed on Christmas Eve. She was with my wife at her parents for Christmas since I was supposed to be away. I waited until she went to bed and then drove over, woke up super early and hid under a blanket next to the Christmas tree. Best Christmas surprise she ever got.

Look it might be bollocks but a pod cast addicted paramedic I know swears there is links to high Vit D and quick recoveries with covid, he did tell me the statistics and study this was based on which I promptly forgot. It’s cheap and tbh if you’re over 50 you are bound to be low in it anyway. It’s as cheap as chips and you can get it from your pharmacy. Oh and get some Vic C too.
