Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

I am going to tag you to mentor me once one of my clone is at training stage.
I've definitely got the time, Trala- I'm ready to get started as soon as you are- it'll sort of be a learning experience for both of us, since I've not trained a clone yet- but it's not whole lot different than training a seedling. I did top one of my last clones, but that was the extent of the training.
when do you know when your clone is at training stage?
It's best to start early, so I'd say as soon as it's established (good leaves, good roots, and at least 4 nodes) can you post a pic of your clones? So I can see what we'll be working with...
my Tangies look so shite
Oh, they aren't that bad, Trala- remember- not-so-pretty plants get one just as stoned as the prettier ones!
glad to hear about mother!!
Thanks, BL!
Yeah, she's doing well- I think her covid test must have given a false positive- I'm glad it did, but
it sure caused a lot of anxiety in the meantime...you'd think they'd have the testing figured out by now,
but apparently they're still a work in progress...

As far as the clones go, they are just slightly different to train. The nodes will likely be growing unevenly, so quad/hex will just take a little extra effort. Also that’s one of those times where I would wait til it’s at like node 7-8 before I topped it at #4, where I’d just top my seedling as soon as #5 pops out.
Everyone does it a little different. Clones are cool because they’ve already proven they are tough and are already much more durable when you start bending them, and if you break something off, it’s not a big deal like in a seedling that only has 4 branches.

Anyway, glad to hear Grandma C is still around, maybe I will get to see her again after all!

Plant looking awesome, what a cool mistake ;)

Cool, I was going to ask you about that- I know the branches will be uneven, so it won't start out as symmetrical as a seedling, but that's not going to matter a month or so down the road...

Unless she takes a turn for the worse, she should be around for quite a while- this is her second pandemic- the first one was the Spanish flu in 1929...it's funny- she remembers that, 91 years ago- but something that happened one minute ago just doesn't stick...

Thank you so much :)

I want to use your style on a normal clone from Lucky, and a monster cropped clone from a Tangie.

My monster cropper still has to work through that mongy single blade stage. So I’m a week or two off.

I don’t want to clutter your thread with my off topic bollocks. I’ll get some pics and meet you in my tent ;)

They aren’t good that’s fo sho. I’d be shocked if I got over an ounce per plant.

Hi Justin

So far clone wise, I say that like I’ve been cloning since Jesus was a boy when in fact it’s something I only learned last year, lollling. So far clone wise I found the two I monster cropped to be by far superior. I can’t get over how fast their roots grow once they take, though I will admit they are much harder to strike than a veg clone. Well I think they are.

I have a journal called Trala’s Tent and I would be interested in any advice or feedback. I have a habit of growing awesome plants, until flower. Come flower I fuck em sideways till they’re so dizzy they don’t know which way is up. I get everything wrong. I have a beautiful plant atm who is just going into flower and I am super scared I’ll ruin her too.

. I can’t wait to get quadding again!
And I can't wait to see your beautiful plants when you do!
I’m really glad to hear your mom is doing well, I hope that stays the case.
I just got back from visiting her- she is sick, but so far it's a pretty mild case- I'm not sure how long it lasts, but right now she's about ten days in or so...
Wonderful news about your mom
Thanks, Candy! She's doing remarkably well for a 97 year old with covid!
She was supposed to get vaccinated this week, but now she'll have to wait till the next go round at "the home"...

And thank you both for the kind words about the SSH- she's doing pretty well, but I think the buds are going to end up pretty small (ish) ...although there are about 30 of 'em so she'll still produce a fair quantity of (hopefully good) smoke!

Good Morning!

it's Tuesday, so time for a little update....
First, I want to mention that I've been a bit under the weather for the last 4 days or so...headache,sore throat, cough, etc....I thought/hoped it might just be a bad cold...but, this morning my sense of smell and taste have quit working, and we know what that means...the only symptom I don't have yet is a fever, but that's probably next....I'm feeling pretty good so far, but that no sense of smell thing has me a bit worried...

So anyway- I may be sick, but the SSH isn't- she's doing pretty well, the lower leaves are starting to fade a little...she's 104 days old today, flowering for 55 & getting a little fatter (and a few more foxtails) every day-
The Saugaview®:

She's being fed 4.5g/gal. MC (down from 4.75 a week ago)+4ml. Silica Blast , and .3g Bud Explosion:

And a few budshots- I think she's going to have plenty of foxtails by the time she's done...
not bad or good, just a bit ugly is all...they smoke just fine....

And finally, a silhouette shot:

According to the seed folks, she should have a minimum of 2 weeks to go, but I'm not
too sure about that...seems like she might not be that far out... although her trichomes are still mostly clear, so maybe she will go that long...we'll just have to see about that...

Thanks for looking! I appreciate the support!:peace:

And please, stay safe out there- I thought I was, but not safe enough, evidently....

SSH looks brilliant mate. My gorilla glue foxtailed a lot. Must be something going around.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well my friend. Can you easily get tested over there? I had to go and do a drive thru test a couple of weeks back. My wife is now the only care assistant at her work that hasn't tested positive.

Please don't let it be covid!
Thanks, Hutch! - that's what I've been hoping for too..or at least a mild case...well, 2 mild cases, because Mrs.C. has the same symptoms...she's about a day behind me-
More buddage in every ‘tail!
As long as they're covered in trichomes, the more the merrier!
As I've said before- the ugly buds get you just as high as the pretty ones!

Mine's pretty close to the light, I thought that may be contributing to it, but the lower buds are doing it too, so it might be genetic-

Thanks, Vet- I could probably get tested somewhere around here, I'll have to find out where.
They don't publicize it like you'd think they would...
I am scheduled for vaccination next Wednesday, but that won't happen if this is covid...

Fingers crossed your case will be no more than a nuisance.
Thanks,Grh! That's exactly what we're hoping for!
Be cautious brother!
I definitely will ! I thought I was before, but I must have let my guard down at the exact wrong time...
it's a god damned shame you can't smell them now.
It really is! in fact that's what I was trying to smell when I found out my smeller was broken...then I ate a cbd gummy to test my taster- it felt like a gummy, but no taste at all..

Between that and a few other symptoms I think I probably had a mild case of the 'rona back then.
I'm hoping I/we do at least as well with it as my mom has so far- she is sick, but barely...
