took these photos with lights out so i couldnt get a good shot in the dark with my phone, its only 4 plants now in bloom and they are about 30 days old. They never stretched much and i have some kind of defenciency but not sure what it is, the fan leaves are all turning yellow a little too quickly. I think it may be too much nutes, im using a little more than half strength with BPN elite series grow, micro, bloom with a little epsom salts thrown in. I like my perlite hempy grows but im leaning towards going to a soil less mix like Pro Mix HP.

I only have the LED going right now in the flower tent since there is only four plants in there, Im having to supplement some heat with a small ceramic heater just to keep the temps around 75 lights on and 65 lights out. Will be adding 4 more plants in two weeks from the veg room so the 600 HPS will come on along side the LED.

Leaf tips have some burn. Might be a slight deficiency due to nutes/salts. IMO you only need to add epsom salts twice maximum for a cycle. Adding more can mess up the calcium/magnesium balance. Looks good to me though, nice flowers!!

Are you using cal/mag??

Here is a couple shots of the last Swiss Cheese plant i took down at 56 days. It was quite a nice buzz, with dense nugs and a nice smell of earthy/cheesyness. The yield was under average with only about 40 grams on this plant.

Awesome!! I grew Swiss Cheese while on another forum. It looked exactly like that with that oldschool cheesy taste n smell. Right on!!

Had to edit/add in. Swiss Cheese grows well outdoors. Plant and then wait till late sept and harvest. Doesn't get any easier than that lol.

oh, im definetely gonna start me an outdoor garden this year. I will scour through the seed banks for the best outdoor strains or just take suggestions from the masses. Live in southern USA so there is quite a long grow season, from around April through November. Anyone grow outdoors in the south? What were your best and most productive strains?

Outdoor strains vary. It will be based on your location/ how humid your bloom season gets. Nothing worse than moldy buds after all your work getting them in the ground. I'm in Southern Ontario so I don't get as long as you.

my veg room is a mix of perlite hempy buckets and soil less Pro Mix pots. The Pro Mix is out performing the perlite 2 to 1. Its hard to dial in the right mix on a hempy but it can be done, i proved it could by harvesting some nice plants in hempy. Its so much easier to dial in the soil less mix, the plants are greener, bigger and show much more vigor. Hempy will always have a space in my garden but i am open to so much more, so lets get it on!! Might try some organics before long, woo hoo.

Clones are all looking good, i have three clones that are 5 days into bloom. The Mataro Blue is the shortest but it is the bushiest. I didnt top her hoping she would get more height, shes around 16 inches tall and 24 inches in diameter. The two Lemon Skunk clones are topped and really stretching out. They are about 22 inches tall and 16 inches diameter. I will try to post some pics when i get in from work tonight, i work second shift so it will be around midnight.

Ya know... I've dabbled in this area. For me, it's the damn bugs. There's like a zoo lined up to take a munch. There are not words to describe my hatred for bud worms. Endless leaf miners. A literal rainbow of various caterpillars.
After loosing many plants using the most effective bug sprays available, I moved indoors and have hardly seen a bug since.
Plus, the heat in the sun is just too much. When you add in the killer humidity you come away with a very fungus/mold friendly environment.
If you choose to travel this path, keep nuclear bug sprays on hand. Be sure to pick mold resistant strains.

2cents.

ok folks i have a new update on the veg and flower room. Heres the pics. I have 5 plants in flower. 2 Lemon Skunks and one Mataro Blue at 10 days in and i have a Critical plus at 6 days in and another Mataro Blue at 2 days in. All these are clones from the last batch. These are much larger and much healthier. The Lemons are 3 feet tall and the biggest Mataro is 2 feet tall and over 2 feet wide. The Mataro does not like to be topped so i left her alone because she doesnt stretch much. The Lemons stretch at least twice as tall as when they are taken out of veg. I should be on a nice perpetual process where im putting at least one plant per week or so in flower. Here is the latest pics.

Thanks for the kind words Tead and Snid, if this Mataro Blue clone #1 continues on the path shes taking it could be worthy of entering in plant of the month, ive never seen such beautiful structure in a plant, this girl is now 25 inches tall and about 3 feet around, the stalks and branches are so stout they would be able to hold huge buds without folding over. I will keep yall posted on her journey along with the rest of the plants. Happy growing.
