So if my indoor nature replication is correctly timed, the seeds "should" be ready when the buds are ready for harvesting.....we shall see. LOL

Edit: and as usual...it takes longer waiting for pictures to hit my email than it does to do any grow processes.

I've only done it outdoors, but your girls look to me to be "ripe" for the task!

LOL, won't know that until the smoke report for sure. But, that's what I'm doing, using MK pollen and put it on a nice healthy White Widow plant bud. I love this!:thumb:

Nice, I put the pollen on ONE lower insignificant branch and got 400 seeds! Viability has been 100% so far and they pop in 24hrs or less. So far they have been slightly more than 50% male...more like 60. My buddy got two of the most beautiful plants outdoors this summer and they yielded 8-10 pounds....combined

Okay, here was the process, pollinating a White Widow with Master Kush:
Canna labcoat...canna shoes...shower cap over the long hair....dust mask on (just in case of a sneeze. LOL) surgical gloves (to throw away when finished).
Turned off all fans, dehumidifiers and furnace duct. I wanted no air movement at all in that room. I let the pollen container sit at room temp for a bit so there would be no condensation. I then told the ladybugs that they better stay where they are or they lose their happy home. I don't want carry over. LOL They only hang out in the larger scrog area anyway, that's totally separate from this one.
Here's the materials:
Soft small artists brush (I believe this is camel hair), one large plastic storage bag cut in half and the Master Kush pollen.

Here's the White Widow bud site I chose: It's the very corner of the scrog away from all the other buds.

I put the plastic storage bag around the inside of the bud site and taped it to the light fixture on top so it wouldn't move. This would keep any stray pollen from reaching anywhere else.

Then I began to dip the brush in the pollen and painted it on the pistils trying to get it good and down inside them:

I cleaned up the area and got rid of all materials that I had used. I left the fans off and the plastic there, I will remove it in a couple of hours after I'm sure the pollen is good and soaked up on the buds. I asked another member whether to mist it or not, and he felt the buds were sticky enough and ready that he felt it probably wouldn't be necessary. (Thanks shottafire!)

Nice Job Canna. I'll be fun to watch what happens. If you get good seeds you just printed yourself a couple of "hundred dollar bills."

I am following DP and his super male experiment, but I can't use any of my own plants. All the males were destroyed, the last one was put to rest after I collected the pollen. I had no idea you could do anything with a male hermied plant before I destroyed it. LOL
Hopefully DonPaul.p will have a successful experiment there. This breeding and pollinating/cross breeding etc. just fascinates me.

I know I may try something on my second grow... i'll be assisting in my father-in-law's next out door grow which will be grow 3... I'm gonna hook him up with a few clones off of grow 2

The proper scientific name for Marijuana is Cannabis... so the law has it all kinds of wrong and should be challenged in a court of law as it is plainly written to restrict Marijuana which in reality is nothing other than a slang term for Cannabis. It is spelled Marijuana not Marihuana. So if the Law spelled it Marihuana that is NOT the same as Marijuana or is it ?. Laws are very specific even the wording. Marihuana applies to Marihuana ( whatever that is) it would not apply to Marijuana ( which we all know what this is ) however the Law is aimed at Cannabis.

Edit; OOPs after further review....The term, originally spelled variously as marihuana, mariguana, etc., originated in Mexican Spanish.[2] The ultimate derivation is unknown. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, it may come from the Nahuatl mallihuan, meaning prisoner.[1] Author Martin Booth notes that this etymology was popularized by Harry J. Anslinger in the 1930s, during his campaigns against the drug.[3] However, linguist Jason D. Haugen finds no semantic basis for a connection to mallihuan, suggesting that the phonetic similarity may be "a case of accidental homophony".[4]:94

So yeah either word means nothing as they have no scientific application to the plant Cannabis "whatever" L.

Interesting information you found there Dyold. It's a confusing mess out there for sure. Our state Law spells it Marihuana. Most people thought they had misspelled it and were laughing at the State. LOL And when I type Marihuana the spell check has a fit, doesn't recognize it. :laugh:

If you went to court here in Arizona, and tried to have a battle of semantics with the court........they would roast you and share you for breakfast! The point is obvious; weed is only helpful and needs to be recognized for what it is and could be so we can get serious unbiased research going on!
