Looking great Canna. I don't think LST would cause stress and hermie the plants. You are doing good work with your training too. If you are using tap water, I am not sure if you would need cal mag. If you give too much cal mag it can lock out N but that should be hard to do.

I found out one other thing that you might be interested in. When the number of fingers/leaflets goes down on the leaves, like when a new set comes in this can be a sign of being close to flowering too.

I hope you are having a great weekend :)

Very good information Rain! I'll check the new growth this morning. ;-)
I'm not using tap water, using rain water. It's what I've been using from the start. I asked KingJohnC about my Nute system on how to mix them, and it's a good thing I did. I thought this was a 3 part system, meaning you use each bottle at a different stage of growth... They are used at the same time. He even told me how to mix 'em up. :-) I'm going to get the mixture ready this morning while I have time to myself. It rained all night, I now have plenty of water again. YEY! I've been asking people to save me their gallon milk containers....they are quite curious. LOL
The clones have not rooted yet but they are actually getting new growth on top, didn't really expect to see anything yet root wise...but I wanted to give the glass of water a try. I wonder if it would kill it to take one of the clones that's in rockwool and put in a glass of water to see if it roots faster than the others? Question is there....but not really a question cuz I'm gonna try it anyway.:geek:
I'm having a great weekend, thanks for asking and hope yours is going well too!:cheesygrinsmiley:

re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow White Widow-Master Kush Reveg and More! CFL's/LED/HPS

You are most welcome Canna. I think that I misspoke on one point, I was reading in Undercurrent/Aeroponics Super System Advanced LED 800W Scrog - HGK - Chemdawg 's thread and it sounds like in his last grow training did cause hermies. Based on what I have seen others do in other journals, I don't think you need to worry at all, I just want to clear that up, maybe I should just talk from experience in the future.

The glass cup method can work, but keep light out, and an air stone would help too. Roots seek darkness (well avoid light really/is that the same thing?) Roots need O2 too. I put a non-cannabis herb cutting in a tin can with water in the kitchen just to have it around to cook with and it rooted for me, but they root much much faster, and healthier roots in my bubble cloner. Also when I got my clones I took two out of rapid rooters and put them into the cloner, so I don't see why you couldn't do the same. Just my humble opinion :)

The journal is looking great :thumb: reps for all the lovely training you are doing. I was thinking too that maybe those leaves were naturally dying off since they were not getting much light? The plant will self-prune naturally this way.

re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow White Widow-Master Kush Reveg and More! CFL's/LED/HPS

Hey Rainstacks thanks! You are so much like me in that you like think things through....and through...and through. LOL
Very good point on the self pruning possibility, I was looking at them last night and the only leaves with the problem were lower, under the bigger leaves. I hope that's all it is, I don't see any other issues coming around since I first noticed it and the two leaves that were the most affected yellowed completely so I removed them.
I got my nutes all ready to go for the next water schedule...
got my herbs in from outside and have a few clones in water to try to root them along with a weeping willow branch my Mom brought over.
Actually, a really serious storm a few weeks ago took down a 40 year old weeping willow in their yard along with some huge oak trees. They cut the pieces up and threw them in the log pile. Yesterday they found a 2 foot piece of limb in the pile that appeared dry....but there were fresh willow shoots coming out the sides of it. Nice and healthy. It looked really cool, but I can't submerge a 2 foot piece of log inside a pot indoors for the winter. :biglaugh: So I cut the shoots off and have them rooting too. They are very easy to root.
All done for the day, so on to a nice relaxing ballgame.
Thanks for the reps too!

The girls are looking primped, well trained and ready to compete in the Westminster Cannabis Club well veged category. Very nice!

Hey Canna...yeah I think willow may be one of the easiest plants to root ever...probably why they use willow bark extract in root fertilizer.

I'm an arborist/tree climber. I've taken down a weeping willow tree twice before. The first time I was 18... this lady had an 80-90 foot tall willow behind her house that she was afraid would fall on her house...I climbed it and removed it...all but a 25 ft section of trunk because she had a clothes-line attached from the tree to her 2nd floor deck and she wanted to keep it.

She called me back 12 yrs later to take down the willow tree again...it was 70 feet tall

In my experience willow can take up massive amounts of water requiring very little oxygen (compared to other plants)

I know that was a little off-topic but you mentioned willow and I thought you might find that interesting

Good luck with the clones Canna...your doing great:thumb:

re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow White Widow-Master Kush Reveg and More! CFL's/LED/HPS

Oops, forgot one thing....on the rooting in the cup, would it help to put some hydrogen peroxide in the water?

I try to be a deep thinker, but sometimes I hurt myself trying too hard
I used hydrogen peroxide to clean my res because there was this brown slime on roots and everything else and to avoid doing a water change (lazy), like I should have. I have read that it adds 02, but I do not really think you need it at all. I used plain tap water aerated overnight for mine. The non cannabis clone in the can that rooted got straight tap water. That thing actually grew quite beautifully and I ended up giving it to my dad as a birthday gift along with a mango tree, and a litchi tree both from seed :) apparently there were some red wigglers in there too that crawled out in his trunk. He said he put them in a safe place though.

Thanks PeeJay! I didn't know there was such a thing as Westminster....well what you said. LOL I've been across the pond a couple of times, to Australia, but the plane fare now would be far reaching for me. Despite my ability to swim....I'm thinking the plants wouldn't survive the trip. :biglaugh:
Sure got some cool stuff going on over there!
Have a great day, Later!:cheesygrinsmiley:

re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow White Widow-Master Kush Reveg and More! CFL's/LED/HPS

There is a search thread feature!? How did I miss this? I have even clicked right next to it and never seen it. So thank you :) I am glad that you liked the picture I put up for you.
:blunt:
Hey Rain, and anyone else that might be interested in making things easier trying to find something on the site.
I got to exploring the user settings and discovered the "folders" option. I have now named 3 folders for things I am watching the most, such as LST and FIMMING and transferred threads from my Subscribed threads list to them. Now I can go straight to the topic I'm looking for without trying to remember who was doing what on my subscribed threads list! (they don't always say in their thread titles) Too Cool!
And...did you know there is a "rate this thread" link? I wondered why there were stars in front of ppls threads, that's how they get them.
I'm going to explore more this morning after I adjust some lighting around the plants.
Good job :420: on the user controls on this site!

Canna you are the best. I was just thinking the other day that I wish I had some way of organizing info. Your grow is so full of good information, diy's, stories (time for another ;) ), picutres, and general good vibes; that sounds like that deserves five gold stars to me :)
