Well Jay, blizzard and white out conditions forced me home again today. I gave it a good valiant effort before I turned around and went back home to safety. I can't afford these days home!!
So, I'll make the best of it and play with plants and baking. LOL
You stay warm too, I'm sure we'll be in contact again today. :laugh:

Well, it's always nice to be a hero now and then. :biglaugh: I hope you put some pics up when you get them done and operational. I'm probably going to be using the idea for part of my outdoor grow in the spring. I have lots of landscaping fabric around.

I don't know how many partial rolls of landscaping screen I have on the shelf, but there is plenty there as we are perpetually changing flower beds, laying patio and paver stones.

I should be able to use three or four easily in my grow box 21/2'x21/2':thanks:

Hi again Canna.

Sorry to hear of the white out conditions. I remember those "just too nasty/cold/dangerous to get out much" days from back when I lived up north and know what a financial and emotional drain they can be. It's why I moved nearly 1000 miles south! I'm glad you have your girls to play with on a snow day.

Would like to express my sincere congratulations and much earned respect for your first harvest and dry/cure! How far off from a final weight and smoke report are you? I'm also curious to learn more about how your using your new LED's. Any initial thoughts on them or is it too soon to form an opinion?

:thanks: TanR! You were much smarter than me. I lived in a few Southern States where the weather was warmer for over 20 years before winding up back in Michigan, even going to Australia twice....and still came back here. Just to be near my Dad. (Pops)
When I leave again (notice there was no IF there. LOL) it will be "Last one out of Michigan, turn off the heat!"

It really is too early on the LED lights, these are very inexpensive panels and I'm only going to use them for vegging. I have 3 plants that I am attempting a revegging on, that will take some time to prove out if it works. ;-)
Final weight and smoke report should be by the weekend for sure. The smell of these buds is sooooo nice!

I think whatever accomplishes the job in a successful manner & makes you happy with and proud of the result is the best way myself.
I hang and jar but will try the racks eventually; just to chinzy to bring myself to buy either the materials to make 'em or the actual racks theirselves. They appear to me to be a pretty good "best of both worlds" kind of thing.

Will do. I'll probably hang the buds for a day or two because I plan on washing them ala DocBud style. I will definitely let you know. Hoping to be cutting down my first plant within the next 30 days:) I can barely contain myself!

Damn they look good! You're lucky I didn't see that after getting high & having the munchies or you'd owe me a new monitor and be on the till to reimburse my hospital bill for having it pumped outa my stomach. As it is, I only have to put a bandaide on my forehead after trying to smell them.

They tasted great! And smelled great cooking. Couldn't smell anything odd.
I did not taste anything bitter/green or have any aftertaste as I have in the past when I've made the butter. However, I've never used my own grown weed in the past either.....I know how mine was processed. LOL
