thanks, Canna, I am so frustrated.....they will be returned tomorrow.....I have tried and tried and tried....and I did walk away.....3 times....just wanted a reality check....I have kept this place going 14 years now by myself and am no stranger, so when I am done I am done...

Sorry that has caused you frustration. If they are that hard to get the bulbs into, they aren't worth keeping. Imagine having to suffer that irritation when you have to change the bulbs again.. Sheesh!

You are a doll....thanks for listening.....I hate it when I have an asset that does not perform as advertised.....I have a high tolerance rate but not for things like this.....life is short and hard enough.....

As Canna said there is no 'click' to speak of generally. Even for a techie guy like me I have to look at the pins to make sure they are set right. And it's possible you got somebodys messed up return. Sorry for the frustration Shawnee. If I were your neighbor I'd be right over to fix it up.

When you take it back, have them demonstrate......

All of the chopped buds have finally been hung to dry in the closet. Dang, it smells good in there. LOL

The sugar leaves are on trays and will get mixed around once a day to prevent getting too much moisture in any areas.
The popcorn buds are on a food dehydrator tray to dry.

When you have a rigid, high quality housing, inserting bulbs is easy.


When you have a cheap reflector where the end pieces have little support, (like this one below), it takes a bit of persuasive bending and gently lifting to keep them happy.

In my opinion, the more expensive reflectors that I can use as a shelf are worth the extra money :)

And now I need some thoughts, suggestions. I checked the other White Widow and the Master Kush x White Widow and there are some amber trichs, although not too many. The WW x MK has a large amount of brown pistils.

I was going to chop that other White Widow today, but I'm going to wait. Now that I have removed all of those larger leaves blocking the buds I see that the buds are rather sparse looking. Although I'm very happy with how frosty things are, I'm not so impressed with the bulk of the buds. If I leave them go longer, (how long?), will they bulk up more...or is that bulk as good as it gets?

All suggestions and comments are more than welcome, even if it's a "you would do better by doing...". I can't become a better grower if I make mistakes that aren't corrected by knowledge. :)
Feel free to send a PM if you feel more comfortable with that, I keep all personal messages private unless it is approved to be discussed to others by the sender. That's the way it should be.

Now I need to get a seedling potted up before it gives up and dies on me, and get some training going on some others. :)

I've decided to trash the movie projector background idea, I don't like how the pictures are coming out. Too dark in the front and too hard to separate limbs from buds in the picture viewing. Muddled.....I no likey muddles

It's going to be one doozy of a busy weekend for me upcoming. I'll be working one of the two days for a full 12 hours, and I'm going to have at least 3 plants to chop.

Afghan Kush is now displaying one nanner on her. It's fine, she'll be coming down this weekend as well as the other two.
If pollen had gotten on them from the Himher plant before I pulled it out, wouldn't the plant have grown male parts, instead of producing nanners? I've always thought nanners to be the result of the plant wanting to save itself if it went too long without pollination.
I guess I'm still trying to figure out why I have seen these on three different plants down there now.

WW x MK buds. This will be harvested over the weekend, lots of brown pistils and some amber trichomes.

Or.....would you wait longer? Thoughts?

Thanks, Radogast, I was not aware that all T-8's are not created equal. This one was $50 not including the 4 bulbs. I am not about to babysit my veg light in any way shape or form, so back to the store it went this morning. I'll examine other models another time when I'm in a better mood, I decided.....

Stopped off to get a bite for lunch and gave my debit card to the cashier....after the swipe he excused himself and left the cashier station and another paying customer took her place behind me. He came back and announced that the credit machine had tanked and did I have any cash....'ah, no I don't actually'.......

The lady behind me stepped right up and said "I'll pay it forward with a random act of kindness and take care of your bill for you".....my first thought was 'yeah, you and Oprah both' but went into shock when I realized she was serious and then.......I BUSTED INTO TEARS.....geez, Shawnee, sensitive today, eh? Hmmmmmm, perhaps I am pregnant......NOT :rofl::rofl:

Great story Shawnee, it took away the frustration of the light issue I'm sure.

I accidentally left my debit card at home a few weeks ago and realized it after I had already pumped my gas, I was on the way out the door to grab my check book and a co-worker that I had never met, only seen, came in and overheard me say I left the card at home.
He offered to pay for it. I was so dumbfounded at the kindness from someone who didn't know me at all. I thanked him and explained I did have my checkbook in the car.
I put a bag of hershey's kisses on his workstation the next day with a Thank you note.

AND, I'm considering just chopping down the Himher while there are still buds on it. I think I could make better use of it for cannabutter, decarbed grind for cooking, or infusions for oils etc., than waiting for it to seed out with seeds that might be female, and most likely would hermie anyway.

And it's costing me to keep it there under the HPS unit..........

I need to think schmarter during the winter months on saving energy and dollars for emergency heating etc.

Well that's an interesting way of thinking on it. LOL I'm leaning closer to C-Section this weekend all the time. :)

I do have trichome pics, but I completely ran out of time for resizing and picking best ones. I'll have some up tomorrow morning, probably.

I got a little bit done this morning. The seedling got potted up. LOL

THC Bomb got a couple of big thumbs up for her progress:

She's got a few brown pistils on her, but nothing to jump and chop about. I am really looking forward to how these buds look when they are done. The bent top is heavy. :green_heart:
