That would be Mr. Pitt. The socks episode was awesome. Elaine, on the phone sniffling sadly: "{{Sigh}}....I can't go." And the one where they thought Elaine smothered him with the pillow.....classic.

She had another boss too, before Mr. Peterman. A publishing company, Mr. Lippman...I think.

Now you're going to make me pull out some Seinfeld recordings.

Have a wonderful night. I'll be dreaming of leftover Lasagna soup. Might just have me a midnight snack.

I am very happy with the trichome coverage happening on the Darkstars after less than a month in flower:

Canna, I love your photography, and your journal. Thanks for the link.

I'm excited you have graciously agreed to grow out a few of my seeds. I am sure your skills will show what they can do.

Keep it up!

Peace, Hyena

I am looking forward to the grow for sure. I will be germing all spring grow seeds on the 20th (first day of Spring) :thumb:

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

I'm going to harvest the Super Cheese this weekend. I don't like how the foxtailing is breaking up that top cola. She's got plenty of amber and milky enough for me.

Also, I've been watching Purple Paralysis #1, she's got a lot more amber and.....a few nanners. SO......I think what I'm going to do is harvest the big heavy buds from the top and sides, she has plenty of those, and leave a few of the smaller buds on the branches to see if it will seed out.

Here's some pics of most of the plant, she really does have a lot of heavy buds on her. I love it!

What do you think of that plan? And yes...I am aware of the theory that they could be hermie seeds which I have yet to have happen in any home grown self pollinated plant.

Have a great day everyone!

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

A plant throwing nanners at the end of the flower cycle is not hermie prone. At least, that is the way I understand it. I've had a few strains do that, and it's never bothered me. Your plan sounds good to me.

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

Due to the power outage last week, 2 plants that I just harvested have hermied......not sure about the rest of the grow yet....my question is this: are hermied seeds viable or no? I honestly don't know.....

If by "viable", you mean will they germ....they certainly will. :)

Do you have nanners on the hermied plants or balls? If they are balls, then the plant turned male. If they are nanners, that's how the female will self pollinate herself for self preservation.

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

If a plant hermies due to severe environmental stress, or late flowering, then that plant is not hermie prone. It is just doing what it is supposed to do. The seeds should be fine.

Disclaimer: I am not a breeder. Just a reader and purveyor of common sense. :cheesygrinsmiley: So... take my advice from where it comes. That is the way I understand it.

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

thanks Blaze and Canna for your quick responses....I was wondering if those seeds would create more hermied plants and could I soak them and expect healthy flowering plants going forward with those....also didn't know the difference between nanners and balls (seeds)....these are definitely seeds.....geez, think I should brush up on the birds and the bees??????

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

Shawnee, you can see the nanners in the pics, the little yellow pointy things. (I'm sure you knew that, but just in case....)
My personal experience with a female self preserving herself, and as The Blaze said, it's usually toward the end of flowering, is that the nanners grow almost straight up.

In the case of a hermied plant, it will start with balls and as they mature they will hang downward then open up to reveal the nanners that drop the pollen down.

Anyone disagree with that?

Balls aren't seeds....I'm going to try to find a pic in my blog of what I mean by balls when speaking of hermied plants. Yes, the seeds are in "balls" of a sort. It's a calyx that wraps around the seed.
:)

Be right back with some pics.

Ah, yes, I see now, Canna, since you have pointed it out....don't assume I know anything.....I probably don't even know what I don't know at this point....I do the most learning when a disaster strikes.....I'm going to have to get a generator at this point.....I had one but it conked out about 2 years ago.....all I need is one power outage to practically freeze to death and sit in the dark and loose my grow to wake up and smell the dang coffee!

I know what you mean. Generators around here have skyrocketed in price gouging since that storm. I had a brand new one, in the box waiting for the next outage and had to sell it during the lay off. Grrrrr......
I'll find another soon, after this initial scare has calmed down.

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

This is an interesting conversation. I have 2 bag seeds I got from some indoor sleeskunk. Have no idea if it was self pollinated, or pollinated by something else wether male or hermie. Am I going to grow it out? Damn right I am. If it throws balls, I will either pull the pollen sacks or just cull them. I've seen some spectacular bag seed grows, so for me, it is worth the risk. I might get lucky and stumble on to the next chemdawg. :cheesygrinsmiley:
