Purple Paralysis #1 is getting amber. This is the plant that I found one single pair of nanners on just below the super cropped bend. I have not found any more since I plucked those off:

I've just read that the reason for the white tops or "snowcaps" is from too much light or high power LED's too close, light bleaching the buds basically. Also, it stated that the white buds will have little to no THC. Supposedly unhealthy to have that happen, even though it looks pretty cool. Some call them "albino" buds.

So, I guess I better move that light up a bit, just in case that's what has caused this. The plant is under the Budmaster LED set up.

I got my orders for the new light hanging system, 2 heavy duty rolling garment racks. Adjustable height.

Here's how I had to hang the light in the back bathroom. A pvc pipe piece going from the shower stall frame to the top of the cabinets. I never felt safe with that, and was very limited on where I could hang the light and keep the plants. It was always either too close to the wall blocking the heat register or blocking the access to the cabinets:

In a short 5 minutes to set the rolling rack up, and ten minutes or so to take down the old system and set up the new, I now have a lot more space and I can roll the rack where I need it. These racks have a telescopic feature on each that come out about a foot, so you can hang cords or fans off them to keep them out of the way. They also have locking wheels, my old one doesn't have a wheel lock. They are rated to hold approx. 250 lbs. The take down is less than two minutes and can be stored flat under a bed or in a closet.

All I need to do now is shorten the hang wires on the light so I can get it a little higher.

The other new one will be combined with the old one in the flower room. I'm going to make a wood base that goes from one to the other, and use top cross bars. I'll post a pic when I'm done with that one. Probably won't get to it until the weekend.

Poor Caramelo. She took the worst hit with the critters and had been basically stripped bare of leaves below the top buds. She did survive, but she's going to yield very little. There are two top buds that are okay, there is enough amber that I will take her down this weekend. Probably will take less than ten minutes. LOL It's a shame, I only had one of those seeds.

I've had one of those racks for over a decade- I use it for clothes.

I used to have two of those racks, but 200 lbs stepping on a lower crossmember bent it severely. I used it anyway for a few years but when my needs for clothing racks lessened, it was sent away.

Nice repurpose of technology.

My original rolling rack is well over twenty years old and has held up incredibly well.
I have to say that the difference between what they call "heavy duty" now and what it was 20 years ago is noteworthy. The old one is heavy and solid, much thicker metal. The new ones are so much lighter. Let's hope they hold what the manufacturer states they will. Evenly distributing the weight will be the goal.

Here's some information/background on the two home grown strains I will be growing from member Hyena Merica:

Blue Dream is the basis for both strains. All seeds are feminized.

Blue Hyena is a Blue Dream x Amnesia Haze, then back crossed with Blue Dream. The parent blended and magnified the fruity, sweet essences of BD and Haze and added some strength. Back crossing with the BD again will do what? We'll find out! I am hoping a pheno will emerge with even better yield while reducing the flowering time (Haze is a notoriously long 12-week finisher) and maybe preserve the high THC content of the mother. VERY strong, sativa/psychedelic head high, I really think the mother of these Blue Hyena beans is the best weed I have ever smoked, top-five in both taste/flavor, and strength/quality of high. You might really like this one.

Black Hyena began with a Widow Mix plant from Original Sensible Seeds that was a freebie with an order. All they said is "Widow Mix", no breeder or lineage. Well that weed was ridiculously strong and I mated that plant with Blue Dream sort of accidentally. Then, the resulting plant got pregnant early with residual Blue Dream pollen and was seedy. But the herb was KILLER. The strongest and most hypnotic of all the varieties I have grown. It's not fruity. Rather, it has a rich flavor, with cedar and peppery notes and an earthy taste and aroma...I can't really describe it but it's aromatic and delicious. I dearly want the child of this scruffy-looking whore of a plant to retain the woodsy/earthy nuance of the smoke that positively fills and stimulates your sinuses like mild horseradish and gives a buzz that's mind bending with absolutely no couchlock. I'm very eager to see what emerges in your hands.

Has anyone here had any problems getting beans from Crop King Seeds without using the "insurance"? If I choose the tracking/insurance that's $30.00 off the gift certificate amount, which could go for other beans.
I'm a little nervous that if it got "lost" in customs or snagged there, that I wouldn't get a replacement ship.

I'm still pondering on that.

Anyway, I'm working on the new grow set up this morning. Thought it was going to be done, but it appears I'm going to have to set up the table saw and cut some panels down. That will have to wait until tomorrow. Ah well...it's going to give me a lot more space for plants when it's done. :thumb:

The 30 bucks is worth the peace of mind if u ask me. Just think how much time and money u will save versus losing them in customs. 30 bucks would be an afterthought in a month or so!

The one and only time I had beans traded for a letter, they were from CK. IMHO their concealment methods leave a lot to be desired. I used mine to get Blueberry and insurance, almost exactly the Cert amount, but NOT OVER. Did not want to pay their over the top CC fee.

So, for me it paid off not to get greedy. Give up the $30. Up to you if you want to do the CC thing.

EDIT: Note that I never requested they resend. I didn't want to get another letter. They somehow got wind of that and shipped them again. 2nd set I received.

It goes through SF to come in, as I understand it they and Chi-town are the worst.

Thanks you guys. It's no money out of my pocket to do the insurance. So, I'll stick with the Autofresian Dew choice and get the insurance.
That is a high CC fee, last time it was a $12.50, so I have to keep that into the figuring as well. Then there is a foreign transaction fee by my own bank. Fees....fees...fees. LOL

I appreciate the input, you helped me make up my mind (s) :laugh:

Edit: Oops...I think the AutoFrisian Dew was at Gorilla seeds. :laugh: I think I'm gonna go with Dark Angel feminised at Crop King:

This took some work, but I didn't have to cut down any panels. I used them just as they were and gave myself lots more grow space.
The rolling racks are doing just fine with 4 lights hanging right now, I still have room for two more if needed. Turns out my old rolling rack is 3" shorter than the new ones. I didn't notice that until I put the PVC cross bar up. So, I had to take it all apart and use the other new one that was already set up in the bathroom. {{sigh}}...but it's done now. :laugh:

I can get about a dozen plants on that platform with enough space that they will get light penetration without being crowded.
I transferred the flowering girls from the bathroom in there, and put three of the ones ready for harvesting soon in the bathroom.

This is the view from the couch in there where I sit and have my cuppa in the morning and stare at plants:
