On other grow news....the little bitty Purple P. is not looking like she will make it. Her cotyledons are brown and pretty much dead. They never really opened up. She's slowly sinking backward. The almost no see-um true leaves are green in there, but I suspect it will be gone completely by tomorrow. So, at least I have one of them that appears to be growing. Still waiting on one other to show whether it's going to open the Coty's. Historically...these seeds were not good at all. But I'm still going to run the Hydrogen P. test on some hemp seeds to see if it was the cause for the tiny sprouts. Ya never know 'till ya test it out.

I shall not give up until there is zero sign of life. I gave her a support back to keep her upright and little mist on the dry top soil. ;-)

Well....I was going to treat her like an auto but she's in this tent which will go to 12/12 at some point even if she and the clones have a limited vegetation period. I have a feeling I'll be running quite a few re-veg plants too.

I think I was robbed during the night. My ambition is missing today.

Anyway, the test is underway. I put about 1/4 cap full of the Hydrogen Peroxide in with the rain water in one cup and regular rainwater in the other cup last night. It's hard to keep the ones in the HPM (Hydrogen Peroxide Mix) down because of all the bubbles on the shells, but eventually when they crack they stay down.
One of the regular RW (rainwater) has cracked overnight.

Guess I'd better find something productive to do before I nap in this chair the rest of the day. :laugh:

I might cut a couple of clones off the White Cookies today, and do some defol and more training. Probabilities are female, so might as well get to work on it.

The wind today is still pretty bad. I had to go out and put support bars in two of the girls pots because they were in danger of snapping.

Funny....I washed my hair..decided to do some plant work outside and let the wind dry it naturally. I went for a short mushroom hunt. One black cloud....just as quick as I saw it and wondered about it, the down pour started. My hair was wetter when I came in then it was when I went out there. :rofl:

So, while out there I did get a couple pics of the runt plants in the no sun planter. I might get a doobie out of one of them. :laugh: I'll fly some pics tomorrow. No males in that bunch, I checked and they are all flowering. Then I remembered, those were the "SheHeShe' greenish seeds I got off of her. They were feminised seeds.

The two girls in the cove are flowering good. One of them still has quite a good amount of new white pistils showing, so she's going to be a while for sure yet.

The two at the pond are almost ready to get chopped. I'll have pics of those buds tomorrow too. They will do for some Cannabutter I guess.

The other tiny Purple Paralysis has opened the cotyledons partway, so that's looking promising too. And Caramelo is doing good, showing good green and growing out those true leaves now.

Other than that, kind of a boring day here.

Hey Cannafan, and followers! :passitleft:

Wondering if you or someone with more soil grow experience can pop over and help a new grower. He is battling what i think looks like cal/mag issues. Since I'm a hydro/DWC guy, I'm not much help other than posting links to the plant deficiency chart.
I know he would be much appreciated of any advise. Below is his journal.

I grabbed a couple of clones off the White Cookies this morning. And I have the Hydrogen P. experiment started in soil.

This hemp seed root just exploded out of the shell. Split in half the opposite way. :laugh:

Ooohhh....I just had a brainstorm for getting heat to the basement grow room without plugging in a heater unit. Time to get the Dewalt sawzall out. Wish me luck!

It is half finished. Ran into a snag with a fan I had planned to use, but I fixed it.

Okay, the worst part is done. Magic Jim was close, but it's a hole in a wall or two...not a floor. :laugh:

I have this basement stairwell that is under the pantry with a trap door. That stairwell stays warm, there is a door at the foot of the stairs that stays closed to keep the cold basement air out. So, why not draw that warm air into the grow room?
I cut holes in the drywall of the stairwell and in the drywall of the grow room the size of an old register booster fan unit. The momma board on the booster fan went out last year, so I removed the board and hooked the electric wires directly to the fan instead of the board. Works perfect, and that fan has a pretty good draw for as small as it is.

My cuts aren't even, the cordless sawzall battery wasn't charged and my jigsaw is at my brothers' house way too far away. I used a hacksaw blade. No matter, I'm going to insulate between the studs there and then build a little frame around the cuts. Haven't decided how to secure the fan unit in there, but I'll figure it out before nights' end. Maybe build a box for it that slides in there....dunno yet.

So, think it will work ya'll?
