Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

Of course it will work! It will be Cannafied! :thumb:

You are my favorite cheerleader. Hope you are doing well. :)

I've got a bunch of old picture frames in a spare bedroom, I'm digging through them to find one that will frame this in nice and purdy. Mitre saw is ready and waiting.

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

Okay, I did some insulating around the new fan. It's in there good and snug. The only air coming through it is the stairwell. I also hid the cord behind the wall. It comes up just underneath a power outlet. How convenient!
Then I had to insulate around the door and a few other areas that I should have done last year. I think we're sealed up pretty tight now.

I put a peacock feather directly across from the fan at the opposite end of the room and it was moving, so that is blowing air quite well.

The room started at around 57 degrees, we'll see what it's at in a couple hours. I can put the fan on a timer to keep it at a steady temp if this works out. I do need to run the dehumidifier down there, the RH is at 76% right now.

Nice job! Almost free heat! :high-five:

Have you considered a passive air return to stair well? That would allow warmed grow room air to recirculate instead of being lost to rest of basement. Or it might just chill stair well air and reduce effectiveness of heating. Oh well, something to think about while the sawzall is recharging.

@Shawnee...

Have you seen anything documented on the changes to the edibles in the MI MMJ laws? I can find the news about the dispensaries, etc. but I can't find anything that defines what they did in regards to extracts and edibles. Thanks if you can help me on that!

I see what you're thinking. I am still in that thought process. Right now the furnace actually draws air from that stairwell when the pantry door is open. The furnace is in the laundry room right next to that stairwell. When I stand at that door I can feel the air coming up when the furnace is on. Soo....there's that...and I haven't figured out if that's a good thing or bad thing at the moment.

Congrats on the new laws...:cco:...:circle-of-love:

Thanks Dennise. This is such good news. I don't have to hide my oil, I can offer it to patients now...in addition to edibles. Couldn't do that before. This has been such a long wait for this. I can get my Mom a patient card now and she will be legal eagle with using that Oil! She won't have to worry about that anymore.
This opens up a whole new world of things for me, and I'm sure for Shawnee and other Michiganders as well.
There are changes to the laws that aren't so great as far as dispensaries and such, but this is the one I was hoping would be passed.

Woo Hoo!

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

An observation on the HPM experiment:

All three of the HPM seeds have been planted. They developed tap roots just under 1/2" long after less than a full day in the paper towels.

The three RW seeds have been in the paper towel since last night and have barely come out of the shells yet. One is maybe 1/4" long, but not by much.

So, they did develop longer tap roots faster with the soak in Hydrogen Peroxide and a little of that poured on the paper towels. I did that with the new seedlings too, so I wanted to be sure I did everything the same with these sprouts that I'm testing.

Shawnee, I found what I needed. A .pdf file with the new changes:

https://www.legislature.mi.gov/documents/2015-2016/billengrossed/House/pdf/2015-HEBS-4210.pdf

The way I read this, we are now okay with extracts/infused products/medibles etc.! (Licensed caregivers and patients of course)

I have been waiting a looooong time for that.

Sorry I wasn't Johnny on the spot with any info, Canna....you have provided the most comprehensive document I have seen to date....I want to explore the $5,000 grow fee, the not transporting, and the seed to sale software angles....is the medical program to remain intact or are they gonna fold all this BS into the new model....very confusing....

I'm with you, tho, medibles and oils are A-Okay.......woo hoo.... :cheertwo::cheertwo::cheertwo:

Keep on trailblazing, my friend :high-five:

Shawnee, if you go to Denali Healthcare site (Dr. Bob) and click on his blog, you will find separate paragraphs that talk about each major addition of the new laws. That will make it much easier for you to looking into what you want to know. Each one has it's own PDF file.

Hope that helps!

Thanks, Canna, I have some homework to do....I freak out when we try to advance our cause in this state while at the same time the laws change that also take away our already have freedoms to be more regulated and cumbersome, that cost more money, and bring in more middlemen....I knew there was a reason that I have "Question Authority" in my sig.....I really am an old hippy!

Lord have mercy, Canna, what a great resource is Denali Healthcare....how you have the time to do all you do is beyond me....you are one in a million and yes, I am your biggest fan :cheertwo:

Congratulations Michiganders!

According to that PDF it appears 36 fluid oz of oil is 1oz equivalent to the 2.5 oz limit.

Even if they equate it to resin, a reasonable comparison in my mind, 16 oz by weight is 1oz equivalent to the 2.5 oz limit.

It seems that the act of labeling the bottle 16 oz (1 pint) of marijuana infused liquid (12 gram equivalent), means they have to presume the label is correct and that bottle is 12 grams equivalent. Sweet!! :)

White Cookies got a defoliation and more training this morning. Opened it up very nicely. She's going to need her own light.

I'm going to work on the Lemon Venom next.

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

Well, I think that downstairs room is doing great. The humidity in there this morning was at a whopping 85%...kind of helps to close the windows. There was one still open in another room and I had forgotten about it. Rainy morning, so go figure why that humidity was up. ooops...

So, with that register fan off and the dehumidifier running for almost 3 hours, it's now at 62% RH and 68 degrees. The upstairs is at 68 degrees right now too. YEY! We'll see how this goes when it starts freezing here.

I am still going through these changes, currently trying to figure out if I..as a caregiver..have to use the Marihuana (yes, that's how Michigan spells it) Transportation Manifest when delivering extracts or edibles to a patient and if my patient has to have one if they do a pick up. If so, now I have to find that Manifest example. There is so much to read in all of these different changes in the bills as a whole.

It may be an infused brownie, or cookie, but it's not a food item...per the new law. That way it can be taxed.

We need to hold off our actions until the Governor has signed off these too. There are a lot of people questioning WTH a Marihuana Transportation Manifest is. I have yet to find an example.

I read the document over and am under the impression that the medical portion will remain the same at least for now. I think licensing, transportation and seed to sale tracking, taxing has to do if you become a commercial grower that can only sell to dispensaries and compassion clubs.

A transportation manifest by definition is a document that describes the 3rd party company who transports the commercial grow to the dispensary. They describe how the product has to be weighed, the manufacture date and manufacturer, whom is purchasing, etc....

Dang, gonna have to go back and read it again...glad I am not the only one confused....I am happy about the medical program, though.
